Read on for my thoughts on last night's Impact Wrestling.
- Opening:
Here's the thing. Even if Alberto didn't have issues making Impact vs. LU, his contract expired a day before Redemption. So there's no guarantee Impact wouldn't have had to scramble to change the main event anyway.
- Sutter/Yung:
I wonder how long these two will stay together, given how things for Braxton went with Laurel and Allie.
- Sutter/Yung vs. Fallah/Kiera:
Beating someone Bahh's size would be good for Sutter.
I liked the women being game to fight the men.
I'm liking Su.
This is pretty solid, actually.
Pretty fun stuff here.
- Post-match:
Mostly fun to sell the Knockouts Title match.
- LAX promo:
Man, wouldn't it be crazy if they had Alberto, Adonis, AND Steiner dropped from the planned Redemption lineup?
Also, Steiner's conference call was hysterical.
- Jacobs interview:
I like using Impact to build someone up. I can't say I wasn't hoping for more from the Parks, though.
- oVe video:
Sadly, this one kind of petered out. I mean, using a 47-year-old Dreamer as your big surprise will do that. Does he ever win?
- KM/Cage:
KM is.... interesting...
Impressive namedrops.
I'm disappointed Cage is only in a six-way clustermess at Redemption. He could have been Eddie and Moose's partner.
Fun enough.
- Cage vs. KM:
KM getting DROPPED.
All Hail The New Hoss God. Cage vs. Kongo needs to happen at Slammiversary.
- J. Impact vs. Kongo:
This is an interesting combination.
Classic big guy/little guy dynamic.
Impact has some crazy agility.
OH MY GOOOOOODDDDDDDDDDD that was a brutal ending.
- Post-match:
They're crazy if this doesn't get a rematch at Redemption. Neither man has been announced for anything yet.
- Drake promo:
Eli might get wrecked by LAX AND Scott if he's not careful.
The main event was a replay from Impact vs. LU.
More wrestling coming up.
