Read on for my thoughts on yesterday's WWE financial release.
WWE officially released their Q3 2018 financial information:
- So there's your answer for Crown Jewel happening.
- Wooowwww. Live events are sinking as drivers of revenue.
- Consumer products took a hit, too.
- Without those big TV deals, WWE would really be flat right now.
- WOW. That's a substantial drop for international live events.
- They need to take a look at some of these major expenses.
WWE also held a conference call, covered here:
- Glad to see Evolution is a success.
- I really like the idea of more localized international content.
- Vince was vague about changing live events. It's absolutely something they need to do, though, based on these numbers.
- In theory, other performance centers and Network tiers will help the company's business, but it's not been a huge success so far.
- NXT is successful on the Network, but 205 Live and Main Event aren't.
- They definitely have the talent to do a women's only show at some point, but it needs to be something they're confident will be successful.
More wrestling coming up.
