Read on for my thoughts on last night's Honorclub event.
- Titus/Scurll:
Ohhhh wow. This isn't starting well. It feels so out of place for ROH.
- Titus vs. Scurll:
Fine enough so far.
OK that cannonball was something else.
See Titus is a fine wrestler. He just seems like an odd fit here.
Not bad at all.
- Finlay/Juice vs. Fredericks/Coughlin:
Nice start.
I liked the double Liontamer.
Both teams are solid.
Another fine match.
- Shibata appears:
That's pretty cool!
- Cobb vs. Connors:
I see this as kind of getting experience for the NJPW guys.
Fun while it lasted. I didn't expect Cobb to lose though.
- Briscoes/Taylor vs. Castle/Boys:
The Boys are in a tough spot.
Fun character work here.
I like The Boys getting a hope spot.
The Briscoes are untouchable in this division.
Ahhhhhh Castle could have gotten the big win there.
Oh.. well. I guess they didn't want Castle to lose again.
- Post-match:
It seems a little early to do Briscoes vs. Juice/Finlay, but it's not like they have a lot of other options.
- Rayne vs. Holidead:
Basically a handicap match. It might be good to call up Angelina and Velvet. I don't think they're doing much of anything else.
The Sisters have been good additions to WOH.
Jesus they're really playing up the interference.
Mostly good.
- Post-match:
ROH does a good job of flowing into future matches.
- Taven promo:
Man it would be embarrassing for him to lose that title!
- Taven vs. Romero:
Yeah Rocky's game.
I hope we see more of Romero.
That was mostly fun.
- Vinny/TK vs. PCO/King:
I like the teamwork here.
OUCH that flapjack.
That was pretty fun. PCO and King are good pickups.
- Silas vs. Bandido:
I like how these sides work together.
There's a good story here.
Bandido showing real skill.
That was pretty cool.
- Post-match:
Haha vintage heel work.
ROH is in trouble if Bandido's hurt. He's been proof they can still attract great talent in 2019.
- Rush dates set:
Good. He can be a player.
- Williams/Haskins vs. Lethal/Gresham:
Impressive work here.
Wow. I see the hype.
They're delivering!
That was pretty awesome.
- Post-match:
Oooooh. Interesting.
Hmmmm… we'll see where this leads.
More wrestling coming up.
