Read on for my thoughts on last night's Friday Night Smackdown.
- Bryan/Miz/Corbin/Dolph:
I like the selling of The Fiend's actions as damaging to Bryan and his family instead of just "yeah he got a haircut and shave."
I love how fired up Bryan is.
Hmmmm we could be in for a triple threat. Bryan and Miz's characters have been developed well.
Ahhhhh there's our mandatory Baby Yoda reference. Those always seem forced.
Ooooh I like Corbin also going for the title.
That was good. Miz and Bryan aren't friends, but they have a common enemy.
- HM/Mandy:
Glad the loss last week meant something.
As much as I find Mandy boring, this was done well.
- HM vs. Revival:
It's holiday gimmick match time!
Well this is fun for what it is.
I like the use of the ringside elements.
Haha they're getting ham over here.
This is very silly, but they're doing well with it.
Not bad at all.
- Post-match:
Fine to show them as faces.
- Dana/Alexa/Nikki/Lacey:
I liked that.
- HM/Mandy/Sonya:
Not awful. I can't help but think Mandy's going to turn on him.
- Revival/Elias:
Interesting. We'll see what this means for No Flips Just Fists.
- Braun/Sami/Cesaro/Shinsuke:
OK I like the Secret Santa thing.
That was good!
- Carmella vs. Sonya:
Wow. Didn't expect that.
- Post-match:
I liked that. It linked one match with another instead of everything being separate.
- Sheamus promo:
He's taking his time doing the actual wrestling part.
- Big E/Kofi vs. Cesaro/Shinsuke:
I like this so far.
Glad Nakamura and Cesaro have something to do now.
This international faction is clicking.
Not bad at all.
- Post-match:
I like this.
- Bryan/Miz:
More good character work.
- Bayley vs. Dana:
Dana's getting some opportunities to break out on Smackdown.
Not bad at all.
- Post-match:
Another good transition from one match to another. It's the little things that make shows work.
- Sasha vs. Lacey:
I like this. Looks like the whole Evans family's going to be involved here.
- Post-match:
Well hopefully Sasha and/or Bayley don't job to Lacey's daughter.
- Bryan/Miz vs. Corbin/Dolph:
Haha I liked the tension of who would start.
OK I loved Bryan and Miz both doing the kicks.
I loved the Deep Six spot.
That was all solid.
- Post-match:
Bray doesn't need to do a ten-minute segment/match each week to be over. Glad to see it.
