Read on for my thoughts on last night's Impact Wrestling.
- Callihan angle:
It took a while for Sami to give Callis a receipt for Wrestlecon, but clearly he didn't forget!
Callihan goes all out.
I love it!
- DJZ/Everett vs. Santana/Ortiz:
Good work early.
I'm glad the X-Division guys are getting to bleed over into the tag division.
This is pretty smooth.
Good to see a fresh tandem performing well.
Plenty of flashiness and dives here.
Not bad at all!
- Grado/Park/Katarina:
Oh how I've missed Katarina. Grado really scored with dating her!
- Aries promo:
I like Eli, but I think him taking the title is a step back.
- Grado vs. Rohit:
So where's the rest of the Desi Hit Squad??
Pretty basic work.
Kind of goofy work.
Ehhhh.
- Park attacked:
Damnit! Who keeps beating people up backstage???
- Tag title match next week:
Wow. Eli's going to be in a lot of title matches.
- Tessa video:
Tessa does have good credentials.
Fine by me.
- Eli/Steiner interview:
It doesn't look great when so few people are in title pictures, but Eli's someone they can focus on.
At least Steiner cut a promo on Penta before the match.
- Aero vs. Drago vs. Taiji vs. Fantasma:
Look at this lineup!!
This is already pretty solid.
Taiji is AWESOME.
BAH GAWD Aero damn near knocked himself out there. That was scary.
Impact has done a good job rebuilding the X-Division. These guys are good.
Hey, I'm good with a really impressive flashy match here and there.
This just keeps on going!
This is BADASS.
Woooooowwwww. Nice.
- Eddie/Management:
This is being built really well. It feels like an old school feud with heat instead of just two wrestlers trying to be the better man.
- Moose vs. Kongo:
This could theoretically be an important feud.
Wait.... a DQ in House of Hardcore????
- KM/Bahh:
This is goofy, but fine.
- Cage vs. Takashi:
I like how they've built Cage here. He's got an insane physique, can move quickly and deliver big hits.
- Allie backstage:
Well this is weird.
That title is in jeopardy. I mean, Su has already taken out Braxton AND Rosemary!!
- Penta vs. Eli:
Good start!
Penta isn't giving that title up easily.
Eli is motivated.
This is nice so far.
Good energy here.
These two work together well.
Good for a ridiculously short world title match. It doesn't bode well that Eli loses clean to someone not under contract in seven minutes.
More wrestling coming up.
