Read on for my segment-by-segment thoughts on WWE No Way Out.
Sheamus vs. Ziggler was pretty solid. Ziggler's ready to be used higher up on the card. I'd be down with him being managed by Flair as some have suggested. Either way, a match with a lot of energy from two guys who've earned their keep in the company.
I'm pretty worn out with Laurinaitis/Vince, especially after such a strong match. That time could have been better spent with interviews with either Sheamus, Ziggler, or both. They were fighting for what should be one of the most important things in the company.
Santino vs. Ricardo was kind of painful. I hope we're not in for more bad comedy when Raw hits 3 hours.
Thankfully the Punk/AJ segment brought the focus back on where it should be.
Christian
vs. Rhodes was what wrestling should be: two strong workers showing
what they can do in the ring. Christian seems to keep getting better and
Rhodes continues to grow. I hope he gets momentum back after his
fantastic run with the title.
Damned solid #1 Contenders' match. Everyone brought something good to the table. I'm looking forward to the title match.
HHH's promo was fine for setting up his match with Lesnar.
AJ continues to be an intriguing character. I liked her segment with Daniel Bryan.
Layla vs. Beth was pretty good. The Divas division is criminally underfeatured.
Kane/AJ is a pretty weird relationship. My mind hurts. He's old enough to be her dad.
Hunico can always deliver against Sin Cara. I wish they had
another angle to put them back on the map. It's not like they're doing
anything else.
Punk vs. Bryan vs. Kane was pretty intense. All three of them
brought it. I hope Punk stays as one of TE guys in the company and Bryan
doesn't drop too far down the card. Both men have earned their spots.
Kane's really stepped it up since returning.
Ryback beat two guys again. Nothing to really say there. It's time for him to do something new.
Cena and Show both worked hard in the main event and managed to
do a pretty good job. I liked Big Show's victims getting involved. Maybe
some of them will finally get pushed?
The 6/18 Raw will be up later in the day. Up next, a news post.
