WWE took a look at the Ribera Steakhouse in Japan, which is something of a destination when you wrestle there. I lol'd at the Dreamer story.
Here's a WWF Championship that The Rock was going to have, but never made it to TV. That thing's pretty awesome.
Stone Cold talked about Bryan, Cena, ROH, and more. I pretty much wholeheartedly agree with him.
WWE NXT will continue to run the old FCW Arena every Thursday, which might seem kind of silly, but they still have that space.
Everything else from yesterday is after the break.
Adam Pearce talked about #August1Warning and more. Props to him for using that to build his own career.
Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart talked about "Total Divas" and more. Nothing too mind-blowing from the wrestling talk.
Apparently there's some kind of rumor that TNA has released Taryn Terrell. Not true. She has been given time off to deal with some kind of personal matter. PROTIP: When TNA releases a wrestler, they take them off of the TNA website. Taryn's still there.
Magnus has signed a new 2-year deal with TNA. That's great! He's pretty good and an asset to the promotion. Plus he's only 26!
Vince McMahon stated that WWE welcomes all athletes to the Performance Center. And future commentators as well!
Here's the latest edition of Ask Dixie. Nothing really monumental. I always wonder about the logistics about a UK PPV due to the time difference. Spoilers get out and all. I liked Monty Brown, and wish he would have gone further in the business. But it's not for everyone.
TNA has a photo of the likely soon-to-be former TNA Champion posing with the mayor of North Little Rock. This will be used by future generations to prove that Sabin was Champion for a month.
Update: here are a lot more pictures from the press conference. Where the heck were Hardy, Hogan, and Sting? They're on the posters, but only Sabin was there.
Jeremy Borash and Mickie James promoted TNA. I used to have to listen to John Boy and Billy every school morning, so my ears weren't pleased at that first interview. Borash is always good for putting TNA over.
Here's a story on the passing of Dutch Savage, from near where he was best known.
For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. They don't want to comment on something that's off-camera that the audience can't see!
2. Yeah, that's pretty much one of the basic things in wrestling (or any show with action/fighting I guess).
3. I've heard that "Tough Enough" actually got people more likely to watch things because it showed just how tough the business actually is. At any rate, I think "Total Divas" reaches an audience who doesn't normally watch wrestling, and if it turns them into fans, that's great!
4. Yeah, Maria has said some things in interviews that weren't too flattering about some of her co-workers. Check out her YouShoot for some examples.
5. It's possible if the fans get behind some of the stars that they'll be featured more.
More wrestling tomorrow.
