Main Event:
Barrett vs. Truth was really good. That's the best R-Truth match I've seen in quite a while. That's not a knock on Truth - he just generally doesn't have matches this long with veterans.
The JBL segment was funny. I'm not really sure why, but today I found amusing what I normally wouldn't.
You know, it seems like we see PTP vs. The Usos all the time, but this one was pretty good. It was like they all had something to prove and were motivated. Both teams keep getting better, and I hope WWE's taking notice.
Henry vs. McIntyre was fine as far as squash matches go. I like that McIntyre got in some offense. There's still hope for him one day being a star (right?).
Everything else from yesterday is after the break.
King Mo talked more about MMA and wrestling. I love that he's admitting that wrestling isn't a cakewalk as so many assume.
Famed Memphis wrestling promoter Corey Maclin has passed away, via car accident. It's a shame. Anyone can go at any time.
WWE has a show on 8/2 in China. They REALLY want to gain a foothold there. How cool would that be?
D'Lo Brown talked about his TNA release and more. I think he's right that going on the road was a good move from a "freshness" standpoint. The Impact Zone crowd did at times take away from the product since they had seen just about everything TNA had to offer.
Here are some highlights from a recent Bobby Roode interview. I also want him to be World Champion again.
As you might expect, security was tighter on the second night of the South African tour. No one jumped into the ring. Orton did work despite a groin injury from his attack.
ENCA.com talked to the fan who attacked Randy Orton. Talk about a sense of entitlement. Wow. I think this guy needs some counseling.
WWE.com looked at the current status of the former Mideon. Cool little read. He was really dedicated to the business. I like how he pulled from pop culture. Leave it to Vince to love the Naked Mideon idea.
Drew McIntyre isn't working either international tour due to an issue with his green card (which he is in the process of getting fixed). At least this wasn't as bad as TNA's recent problem.
Santino Marella will be back in WWE in September. That's good to hear. He's a good little comedy act.
I apparently answered yesterday's PWInsider.com questions in the previous post, so if you want to see my take on those, head there!
More wrestling tomorrow.
