Hendrix correction, freshening up TNA, more on TNA mystery, WWE show returning, Ziggler birthday, Cubs give away lucha masks, TNA talent exchange?, MMA-TNA update, TNA star on TMZ, Interview with former WWE writer, Raw audience, fan attacks Orton, and Questions on the Bellas, Sorensen, ex-WWE stars returning, and Cena vs. Bryan

In a correction to the highly discussed Taeler Hendrix interview, Dixie Carter wasn't the one who said that she was "heavy for TV". Not that it matters that much. It was still pretty absurd and sad.

TNA is looking to bring in new talents, but no names have been confirmed. Whether that's a good thing or not depends on the talents they bring in. I think there are some good choices out there, and there are also some people I don't want to see in TNA.

Here's another #August1Warning video. That was cool I guess. There's no way that if it was Batista, they wouldn't pimp the hell out of it being Batista. I still get the feeling that it's Adam Pearce.

Saturday Morning Slam is returning in September. That show's kind of a mixed bag sometimes.

Everything else from yesterday is after the break.

Here's some footage from Dolph Ziggler's birthday celebration from a recent live event. That kind of stuff's pretty fun sometimes.

The Chicago Cubs gave away some pretty cool lucha masks at last night's game.

Japanese wrestling legend The Great Muta had a meeting with Jeff Jarrett. It's possible that this could lead to TNA exchanging talent with Muta's new promotion (i.e. Japanese wrestlers appearing in TNA and vice versa). Notice that it's Jarrett behind this, much like the well-received Ring Ka King (and if I'm not mistaken, the agreement with AAA). I think he's the MVP of TNA from an executive standpoint.

Update: For now it's primarily an idea of Wrestle-1 using TNA talent, but it could go the other way as well.

King Mo updated his status as a wrestler and talked about the possibility of teaming with Rampage Jackson. It'll be quite interesting to see how they do with it being a part-time thing and them not training all that much. It might be best to have them work with more experienced members of the roster.

Jessie Godderz was on TMZ. I think that kind of thing helps him stay employed at TNA.

A former WWE writer talked about Vince McMahon not knowing what a burrito is. Just when I think I've read every crazy wrestling story (or even Vince story), I am proven horribly wrong. The Hirohito story was also crazy.

Raw's audience was 3.77 million, which is notably down from previous weeks. It was a taped show, but I don't know how much that factored into things. I would think that the type of fan who reads spoilers would be the type of fan who would tune in during Bryan's big push, even if shows are taped. You know that Vince is looking at ratings in determining if Bryan can be a top guy.

A fan attacked Randy Orton at a live event in South Africa. Video here. Great job, security! Orton's reaction was pretty funny. Did security think it was part of the show or something? Derp.

Update: WWE issued a statement on the attack. More info will be coming.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. Everyone who wants a return of the Attitude Era must have liked that incident, no? Nothing to add other than that.

2. I don't think Jericho was ever actually going to go to TNA, but I could be wrong. Anyway, it wasn't an easy choice. It'd be different if they fired him right after he got injured, but he had recovered from injury to the point of being able to work in a behind-the-scenes capacity. They paid for his medical expenses, flew his mother in to see him, and paid him above and beyond what he normally would have been paid for his backstage job. It was pretty much a financial decision.

3. Both are locked in to TNA deals for the time being, but it could easily happen down the line (maybe as a retirement run). If TNA goes under or something, I think it's pretty likely that they'll both be back in at least a part-time capacity.

4. I think that the Kelly and Eve ships have sailed for the time being, but Kharma is a possibility in the future. Time will tell.

5. Cena can hang with just about anyone. Can he go 60 minutes? Maybe not, but I don't think he's being asked to. In that situation, I can see the ref saying that it wasn't 3 and Cesaro pretending that he kicked out. Maybe he'd then go into taunting for a while to give Bryan some time to recover if possible. They'd have to call some kind of audible for sure.

More wrestling tomorrow.
