Chris Masters talked about HBK, Cena, a WWE return and more. If he's working like he was at the end of his WWE run, I wouldn't mind him going to TNA. They need young blood right now and he fits the bill.
MVP was also interviewed about possibly returning to wrestle stateside. He's another guy I'd like to see in either nationally televised promotion (I almost said "major promotion", but I wonder if TNA is still considered a major promotion?). At any rate, he had some good things to say. International experience can definitely help people out in making it in the States.
Here's a long interview with TNA co-founder Jerry Jarrett about a multitude of topics. He's not shy about his feelings. He wrote a book about the early days of TNA if anyone's interested in checking it out.
Everything else from yesterday is after the break.
John "Big" Gaburick spoke to the OVW locker room ahead of their show, but there has been no update on the status between the territory and TNA. OVW could be a valuable asset for TNA if used right.
It's suspected, though not confirmed, that the Ethan coming to TNA is Ethan HD. He's got some experience going for him, so hopefully he can be molded into someone in time.
TNA has NO live events scheduled for October, only Impact tapings and BFG. That's not good for people who get paid per appearance and don't have any outside bookings. I'd be reconsidering my status as a TNA wrestler if I was some of the talents there.
Zema Ion was interviewed about his medical status and more. Very depressing stuff.
Jesse Sorensen is selling off some old ring gear from his TNA tenure. If everyone who was upset when TNA fired him pitched in $1, he could pull in some serious cash.
Jeremy Borash was on the John Boy & Billy Show. If I never hear JB&B again, it will be too soon.
HHH talked about Dubya Cee Dubya. The hair in that clip is hysterical. I loved his remark about the 1-year contract.
For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. So people complain when part-timers are given championships en route to put over new stars, then people complain when part-timers aren't given championships en route to putting over new stars. IWC pls. As for RVD's status, I almost fully expect him to return down the line. He's just taking some time off shortly as part of his deal.
Nothing to really add to 2, other than it's interesting that all these years later, people still call it the ECW Arena.
3. Does no one wait for something to play out before assuming it will be terrible? What if this angle leads to Styles getting a big win at BFG and helping along a new era of TNA? Give it a chance!
Nothing to add to 4.
5. Next week's show has already been taped, so if you really want to know, you can look for yourself!
6. I definitely think they should do HHH vs. Show en route to HHH vs. Bryan. It could be quite the marquee match and, if done right, continue to set the stage for the end-game of the angle (hopefully Bryan making HHH tap at Mania for the WWE Title).
7. As far as I know, they're absolutely free to contact him. Just don't hold your breath on him going there.
More wrestling tomorrow.
