More NXT work on live events, Jarrett to Japan, Rotten has cancer diagnosis, more Edge, meeting Divas, WWE press, Diva trains, WWE Hall update, WWE cancels leg of European tour, Hogans sighting, and Questions on missed opportunities in TNA, the Undisputed Champion, "Total Divas", the Wyatts, and the NWA

NXT's Xavier Woods (formerly Consequences Creed in TNA) worked a live event this weekend, losing to Ryback. I can't say that I'm too surprised at that outcome. There've been a number of times where Woods has worked live events and dark matches for the main roster, so time will tell if he's set for the main roster. He just turned 27, so it doesn't seem like there's any need to rush him to the main roster.

Jeff Jarrett has been announced for Great Muta's Wrestle-1 event in Japan on 10/6. So while the debut show didn't feature any TNA stars, at least one TNA star will be a part of the second show. I'm excited about the possibilities of a relationship between TNA and Wrestle-1. If there's anything TNA needs right now, it's some fresh faces and a shot in the arm. Having some Japanese talent appear in TNA MIGHT be a good thing, depending on the talent involved. Either way, this gets TNA some positive publicity for once.

Ian Rotten has announced that he has stomach cancer. His reputation is so bad among some people that they either don't believe this or are glad that it happened. That'd be a terrible thing to lie about. I hope he recovers if it's legit.

Everything else from yesterday is after the break.

Edge is advertised for this week's Smackdown taping. I wonder what they'll do with him. Obviously he has some history with Orton they can exploit.

Here's a story on fans meeting Natalya and Alicia Fox. Right now WWE has AJ, Aksana, Alicia, the Bella Twins, the Funkadactyls, Kaitlyn, Layla, Natalya, Rosa Mendes and Tamina on the main roster with Summer Rae, Eva Marie, and JoJo in the wings. With the brands no longer split, and a solid number of additional Divas working in NXT (Bayley, Charlotte, Emma, Kendall Skye, Paige, Sasha Banks, and a number of newly-signed performers who haven't appeared on TV yet), it feels like WWE has more wrestlers than spots to properly showcase them.

Here's another "WWE did a live event" story. It's generally pretty cool to read about fans' experiences at events.

Cameron was training at the WWE Performance Center recently. That's great!

It looks like the WWE Hall of Fame could be headed to Orlando.

WWE has canceled their November tour of Spain, due in large part to John Cena's injury. What does that say about their ability to create new stars and put faith in them?

Update: WWE is doing another show in Scotland in place of the Spanish show.

Hulk and Brooke Hogan were at the most recent Dallas Cowboys game. I'd definitely prefer them to be a part of the NFL than TNA (or WWE for that matter).

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. There's no telling for sure, but it's definitely an interesting thought experiment. I think highly of both Heyman and Ross as "wrestling minds". I can't say the same for Hogan or Bischoff.

2. That does make some sense, but since the NWA/WCW didn't consider him World Champion when he left, he wouldn't officially be the undisputed champion. When Jericho did it, both Titles were officially sanctioned by WWF (and WCW by essence of WWF owning them).

3. Maybe they didn't want to take the focus away from whatever else was going on in the segment? If he's not an important character on the show, I can see why they'd try to shift eyes away from him.

4. Mark this one up as another person who could very well be lying about being a fan for that long, and/or is a troll. If you don't know what "working" means after 20 years, something's wrong. Their gimmick (job) isn't to be the second coming of Team Angle in the ring. They're supposed to be animalistic and unrefined. They do that well, and since they're getting good reactions, they're succeeding at working the audience into making noise. As for Bray, he's supposed to be saying somewhat off-the-wall things. And given how over the trio is (they already have 3 forms of merchandise and people are constantly talking about them), I think there's plenty of value in them. And I've been watching wrestling for 77 years, including the Martian Wrestling Federation. See, anyone can lie on the Internet to make themselves seem smarter/more credible than they actually are.

5. It could be a financial issue. Those talents could likely be paid better elsewhere. Also >famous >indy wrestlers. Pick 1.

More wrestling tomorrow.
