Main Event Reax - 9/25/13, Sting promotion, new TNA talent, TNA doing fewer live events, Raw visitor, NXT star hurt, Interviews with Cornette/Ryback, WWE stars hit MLB game and Questions on HHH vs. Bryan, JR, Double J and Steph's stock

Main Event:
The opening match wasn't bad at all. I continue to be somewhat mystified by the Usos being pushed so much, but I guess it makes sense with so few face tag teams.

I hate they threw Miz under a bus in this angle. I get that it's "shoot"-like and all for HHH to make those remarks, but it devalues Miz to be regarded so poorly.

I guess they wanted to put Show over after "emasculating" him so much lately. I'm just rather tired of Snadow being treated as a joke after winning MITB. WWE is really cutting off their nose to spite their face here.

Pretty good main event. I like that WWE is giving its up-and-coming superstars chances to gain experience in such a valuable way.

Everything else from yesterday is after the break.

Sting did some local appearances to promote the most current Impact Wrestling taping. I continue to wonder if this is his last year there.

Update: Here's a video of an appearance. It's pretty weird to see him outside of the "Sting" look (especially without the shades).

TNA is talking about bringing in new talents and/or returning X-Division talents. That could be good. The roster certainly needs some replenishing and freshening up. Jay Lethal, Trent Barreta and Derrick Bateman please?

TNA doesn't have any events between the 9/26 Impact taping and the 10/10 Impact taping. I don't know if that's to give their talents time off or for some financial reason. The former would be very thoughtful. The latter would be concerning.

The former Victoria/Tara was visiting at the most recent Raw. She lives in the Chicago area.

NXT's Xavier Woods was supposed to be on the road with the main WWE roster this week, but is hurt. That's unfortunate. I wonder how he'll do in WWE proper if/when he's brought up.

Jim Cornette talked TNA, ROH and more. Is it just me or have we heard just about everything Cornette has an opinion on? I'm ready to hear from some other people.

Ryback will be promoting WWE 2K14 in Mumbai, India. I wonder what kind of video games they like in India...

Here's an interview with Ryback. Remember when he was going to be the next top face? So much for that.

Here's a photo of C.M. Punk and AJ Lee at a Cubs game. He digs crazy chicks.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. Some people care WAY too much that an angle has been done before, or that a wrestler played another character previously. As for HHH selling for Bryan, that seems like more the end of the storyline than the beginning. HHH isn't a 60-year-old non-wrestler. It's ok for him to be the badass "final boss" IF Bryan goes over in a big way at the end of the angle.

2. I see no reason to suspect this is a work. I suppose it COULD be, but it seems highly unlikely.

3. As they said, some people would view pretty much anything as an improvement to Hogan and Bischoff.

4. While that's certainly an interesting hypothesis, that doesn't appear to be what's happening. People have some really crazy theories these days.

5. I thought that was quite a cool idea until they raised their objection. It does make Bryan more of an underdog if he does it all (relatively) on his own instead of leading a big faction.

More wrestling tomorrow.
