Major guests at NXT, BFG pre-show press release, YouShoot with ICP, HHH/Bruno appearances, History of WWE presentation, Interviews with Jericho/Morgan, sad day for Dixie, TNA pay update, live event honor, Impact audience, and Questions on Swagger, JR in TNA, RVD + Ricardo, Ohno, and forgotten ECW titles

The Undertaker and Michelle McCool trained with NXT talents recently. That's pretty cool. Who better to get advice from than one of the most successful wrestlers of all time? On a related note, I wonder what kind of role Taker will slip into once he retires from in-ring competition.

Here's TNA's press release for the pre-show to Bound For Glory. I'll be interested to see what matches they have set for then.

Here's a press release stating that the Insane Clown Posse is doing a YouShoot. That'll be a powder keg I bet.

Triple H and Bruno Sammartino went to a show about the history of MSG. You can't tell the history of MSG without Bruno.

Everything else from yesterday is after the break.

Bruno Sammartino gave a replica championship belt to the Italian American Museum in NYC. Neat.

A "History of WWE" event  hosted by the author of the WWE Encyclopedia is scheduled on 10/6 in Farmingdale, Long Island.

Chris Jericho talked about Fandango, TNA and more. Here are some highlights. I'm glad that his number one priority was getting Fandango and his finisher over. And yes, I think TNA's gotten as far as they can get with using the likes of Hogan, Bischoff and Sting (at least as on-screen characters). I think that they need some veterans on the show, but I can definitely see the complaint that the promotion focuses on the past instead of the future.

Matt Morgan talked about his time in TNA and whether a WWE return is possible. I definitely think that TNA dropped the ball on him (like a number of other performers). I'd love to see him in WWE. He's got a good deal of experience working major promotions that a lot of other people don't have.

Dixie Carter's father-in-law passed away. That's very sad to hear. Condolences to the whole Carter family.

Members of TNA's production staff who were behind on being paid have been caught up. That's good news. Hopefully there's more good financial news for TNA in the months to come.

Michigan State University basketball coach Tom Izzo was presented with an honorary WWE Championship belt at a live event in East Lansing. I hope to get an honorary WWE Championship one day...

The No Surrender edition of Impact, featuring the conclusion to the BFG Series and a big TNA Championship Last Man Standing match, drew 1.39 million viewers. That was their highest audience since Destination X. Good work.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. There were some interestingly-placed question marks in this one. I do think that a lot of it came down to the big DUI arrest. They could have pulled him from Mania or (as was mentioned) released him if they didn't see the value in him. As for the match ending early, WWE basically gave the top 3 matches more time than was initially allotted. They also cut the 8-person tag and some backstage segments, so it wasn't anything they had against Swagger. As for him "headlining WrestleMania", I think Cena, Rock, Taker, Punk, HHH, and Lesnar would take issue with that claim as they were all higher up on the card and more promoted than he was. All that said, I really enjoy Swagger and think he can still turn his career around to become a top act.

2. It depends on how much money they'd be willing to spend and what kind of role he'd be in. I would definitely be wondering if the money spent on the likes of Hogan, Bischoff, and Sting would be better spent on someone like him.

3. It is a really weird combination. I don't really see how they have much in common other than a hatred of Del Rio. If they're not confident in RVD's ability to talk, I don't see why they couldn't try using Joey Styles or Bill Alfonso as his mouthpiece. I know that PTP are using the whistle gimmick now, but I imagine they can still have Alfonso talk.

4. No, and neither was Kassius Ohno. He's still in NXT.

5. There was also a Pennsylvania Championship in the old ECW. That's not a terrible idea for a regional promotion, honestly.

More wrestling tomorrow.
