Watts update, more on Sting-WWE, TNA roster note, Interviews with Williams/Orton/Total Divas' star's fiance, and Questions on a mystery wrestler, wrestling memories, TNA live events, and ROH

"Cowboy" Bill Watts is suffering from back problems, as reported by Jim Ross. There's not much of a story there to comment on, other than apparently Watts isn't the most liked guy in the business.

Poor JR had to respond to the "Sting to WWE" rumors for the 947th time in that link as well. It doesn't look likely. Even if Sting is going to WWE, he's contracted to TNA through the end of the year or so.

Jessie Godderz is working live events for TNA, so he's sticking around for the time being. I wouldn't rule out any more releases, though.

Everything else from yesterday is after the break.

Douglas Williams talked about a scary ring incident with Hernandez and why he's gone from TNA. BAH GAWD. That botch. It feels like he's right about Hernandez. Here's a timeline:
- Get a shot as a singles star in November 2003. Disappear until June 2004.
- Return in a team (The Elite Guard), secondary to Jeff Jarrett. Released in September 2004.
- Return in 2006 in a team (LAX). Be very successful.
- 2008: win shot at World Title in TNA's equivalent of MITB. Fail cash-in, but get to keep briefcase. Neck surgery.
- Return from neck surgery to help Homicide. LAX is split. Fail cash-in again. Also fail to get Legends Title (precursor to TV Title).
- Go back to teaming, this time with Matt Morgan and D'Angelo Dinero. Become champs with Morgan.
- TNA splits Morgan and Hernandez, leading to a feud. Hernandez goes over in the final match, then disappears to work in Mexico.
- Hernandez comes back to work for Eric Bischoff on behalf of Immortal, then becomes a part of Mexican America. More success, and then TNA releases his partner Anarquia (and later Sarita and Rosita's contracts expire).
- Hernandez does jack until teaming with Chavo. Now, they could be ending that, too.
Elite Guard, LAX, teaming with Morgan, being a heavy for Immortal, Mexican America, and now teaming with Chavo.
Anyway, moving on: I can't complain that they cut Williams. There are only so many spots on TV. He's a talented ring worker and veteran, but I don't know that he's indispensable. OVW could definitely use some work. It should be a valuable place for talents to learn the ropes.

Randy Orton was interviewed about wrestling, movies, and more. Nothing incredibly newsworthy.

For some background on Total Divas' Eva Marie, see this interview with her fiance. I'm glad she's taking wrestling so seriously and that Sara Del Rey is doing wonders in NXT.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. There are several wrestlers who had "Gator" in their name that might apply. I'd guess it's Steve Gatorwolf.

2. I wouldn't know! I pay way more attention to the matches and such than the venues. The last couple of venues have been pretty nice, though.

3. Because that's a part of wrestling history!

4. I wouldn't say that that's MORE important than the wrestling, but it's certainly an important part of the experience. TNA needs money, and if they get that by selling Earl Hebner shirts and meeting Jeff Hardy, then so be it.

5. When it makes financial sense to do so? If they had the means, I'd like to think that they would air it everywhere that they could.

More wrestling tomorrow.
