New WWE cards app, NXT signing finishing indie dates, Interviews with Nash/Gallagher/Bryan/HHH, NXT edition of WWE 2K17, Orton's war wounds, outside names for TNA ONO, TNA in China, October WWE TV tapings set, Network issues resolved, and Questions on Barrett's wrestling future, a WOH show, who should be in the 2nd CWC, Brock vs. Orton, and juniors tournaments

WWE is launching a digital trading card app. I'm waiting on WWE Go, personally.

Tommaso Ciampa is finishing up on the indie scene with a September 25 match against Zack Sabre, Jr. He'll do NXT full-time after that. I wouldn't be surprised to see Ciampa vs. ZSJ in NXT and/or the main roster sometime in the years to come.

Kevin Nash discussed the upcoming WWE draft:
- I'm disappointed he didn't pitch himself as GM and World Champion. Think of the money he'd make in those roles.

- Bret? Passing the torch to someone clean? Hahaha.

- There's always a contingent who's going to boo the top name just to be contrarian. It's much more noticeable with Reigns on top.

- I'd definitely rather watch Nash club someone for six minutes than a 20+ minute Young Bucks spotfest. Good God.

- Nash didn't pitch ending Taker's streak like ending Goldberg's? He's killing his gimmick.

- NXT and WWE definitely need some more hosses/mastadons. Not as badly as ROH does, but there's not enough variety in rising stars.

An NXT special edition of WWE 2K17 is set for release, featuring Shinsuke Nakamura, Nia Jax, and Apollo Crews as playable superstars. Hopefully Joe and Balor are in, too.

Randy Orton showed the effects of getting back to running the ropes at the WWEPC. They're not a fun bouncy ride.

TNA brought in JT Dunn, Shynron, David Starr, Jonathan Gresham, and Chuck Taylor for a One Night Only PPV at this week's tapings. If TNA liked what they saw, those men could end up booked again or even becoming regulars.

ESPN talked to the CWC's Jack Gallagher. He's already standing out as a personality. I look forward to seeing him compete.

Triple H talked about the effect of the upcoming draft on NXT and more. I really hope people "get" there's no plan for him to turn Raw and Smackdown into something like NXT or the CWC when he takes over. Those are niche products for the more hardcore fans.

Impact Wrestling will begin airing in China this coming week. That's great! I don't know how much it changes things for them financially, but it's good they have another market for potential viewers.

WWE has announced an October 17 Raw taping and October 18 Smackdown taping in Denver, Colorado.

WWE Network had technical difficulties on Xbox One recently, but they have been resolved.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. I expect he's going to try his hand at acting or something other than wrestling. I can't blame him for wanting something new in his life. I imagine if whatever he pursues doesn't work out, he could come back to WWE or another promotion in a few years. The Bullet Club will have 88 members by then, so he can join them alongside Swoggle and Aldo Rose.

2. Not anytime soon. That would be Sinclair's call, where they feel like they need another wrestling show for their networks. It's possible they eventually do a two-hour ROH show once the Tennis Channel becomes the American Sports Network or what have you, and we could see a women's division then. Even that's more than a year off. I don't know if they really have enough women to make a whole show work anyway.

3. I wouldn't say "overlooked" since he's an alternate, but Jessy Sorensen could have done well. I think he was left out because they wanted another international representative instead. Oney Lorcan would have been another good addition if they wanted to use someone already under contract. And maybe Sonjay Dutt? Stevie Richards if he could drop to 205 lbs., and of course Shark Boy if he could use that name and gimmick.

4. Actually there is a story between them, as they were both part of the same OVW class. It's to some degree a dream match for WWE fans as two of the biggest stars of the past 15 years collide.

5. I think NJPW's increased profile in the U.S. has helped their tournaments stand out more on this side of the ocean in recent years.

More wrestling tomorrow.
