NXT live event notes, potential WWE Network series, Patterson on discovering Rock, Slater helps WV, Ziggler in college's hall of fame, Smackdown audience, Destination X lineup, more Bracketology coverage, announced for Raw, and Questions on the WarGames structure, heels cheeting, WWE's merch standards, Otunga's status, Aksana's future, and Russo

At NXT's live event in Florida:
- Mojo Rawley is back working as a singles star on live events. It makes sense to give him more experience by himself in case Ryder gets a bad injury/is released/whatever and Mojo can't rely on the Hype Bros teaming.

- Hideo Itami teamed with Almas and Lorcan to beat Aries and The Revival. So, Itami's continuing to work off whatever ring rust he has. Could we see him back on NXT TV in time to work in Brooklyn?

- The "no bags" policy has extended to NXT live events outside Full Sail. This includes the bags included with purchases at merch tables. It's a shame we've reached that point as a society where we're worried everyone is a potential shooter.

WWE Network has a lot of potential series being thrown about including:
- Ask Me Anything Live. No way that would go off the rails. I expect it would last about one episode once the higher-ups saw some of the questions. It'd be fun if WWE would let their stars be "off the cuff" though.

- Extreme Eats involving Bubba Ray Dudley and Tommy Dreamer's favorite eating places. The jokes write themselves. Would be worth it if they went to Scott Steiner's Shoney's.

- Reality show about Goldberg, his wife, and their mechanics restoring muscle cars. Goldberg potentially being on board with this is another step in the "MAYBE he'll appear on WWE TV in some fashion" direction. Don't jump to conclusions, but it's more likely now than it was previously.

- An Attitude Era version of Legends' House ==========b

- A Miz and Maryse reality show. So, yes, both are sticking around.

- A talk show following Summerslam in the vein of Talking Dead. Could be worth a shot if it's not as sanitized as the Kickoff show. I'd like to see WWE stars "off the cuff" more in situations like that where the performers can have more leeway with their opinions on things.

- A Tapout-themed fitness show.

- The Third Wheel, where two WWE fans go on a blind date and are joined by a WWE superstar. That sounds really awkward, but could definitely work as a reality show.

- Totally NXT, where NXT women try to win a role on Total Divas, along with going to the main roster. I'm generally against this, but I know some people could do well with it (Carmella, Alexa). Definitely not for Bayley, Asuka, or Nia.

- A documentary on Ric Flair's love life and his four ex-wives. Not my cup of tea, but if everyone involved is OK with it, it can work.

- WWE talents have an improvised promo battle. A tournament where social media and judges declare who moves forward. Taz, the Human I Invented Promo Contests Machine, has already weighed in, including a retweet.

- A roast of John Cena. That could be AMAZING. Especially if they drop PG for a night.

- The Diva Search returning with out the Diva name. Hosted by Lita and Trish. Hopefully the winner would be more Eve or Layla than Eva Marie.

Pat Patterson talked about discovering The Rock. That should be really great autobiography if this excerpt is any indication.

Heath Slater went to his home state of West Virginia to help victims of recent floods there. The One Man Band has really made the most of his spots in WWE, inside and outside the ring. Good for him.

Dolph Ziggler will be inducted into the Kent State Hall of Fame on September 17. That's pretty cool for him.

Smackdown's audience Thursday was 2.24 million. Hopefully Tuesdays bring them higher numbers. I don't see how it wouldn't if they book the show like it really matters and isn't just the stuff that didn't make it on Raw (where the actual important stuff happens).

Set for Destination X on Thursday:
- World Heavyweight and X-Division Championships: Lashley vs. Eddie Edwards
- Drew Galloway vs. EC3
- Knockouts Championship: Sienna vs. Gail Kim vs. Marti Bell vs. Jade
- X-Division No. 1 Contendership ladder match: Spud vs. DJ Z vs. Sutter vs. Mandrews vs. Everett vs. Lee
- Matt Hardy discusses the aftermath of Final Deletion.

-- Sounds like it could be a solid show, but I'm really wondering where Marshe Rockett, Caleb Konley, and Chelsea Green are following their signings.

WWE's CWC Bracketology special will be streamed on WWE.com, Twitter, and Facebook prior to the debut of the CWC series itself on Wednesday. The special was definitely in the "sports" vein, profiling the wrestlers and their strengths/weaknesses. It was more of a documentary than a stereotypical pro wrestling show involving colorful characters cutting exciting promos to hype people up.

Announced for Raw:
- Vince McMahon will be in attendance, possibly to announce something regarding who will be running each brand.

- Battle royal to determine the next contender for the Intercontinental Title

- Rusev vs. Zack Ryder for the U.S. Title.

- Sasha vs. Dana Brooke.

-- I like when they announce things ahead of time, so we have something specific to anticipate.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. It could have been sold for the metal. I assume it's in the warehouse, though.

2. It's a circumstantial thing. Is the heel cheating because that gets heat, or is it to protect the babyface (who may or may not actually need the protection)? Styles put up a good showing before the run-in, so I'm personally not upset The Club helped him out. Unfortunately, a lot of people are so invested in a certain performer, they view anything other than a 100% clean win as a "burial."

3. As was hinted at, they're going for different audiences. A lot of WWE shirts are to show you're a fan of that performer more than it being a great design. Kids aren't self-conscious about wearing wrestling shirts in public as much as adults, so WWE doesn't have to "work as hard" to make something they'll wear. It's also worth noting WWE presumably only has one braintrust doing merch, while ProWrestlingTees has a lot of individual vendors doing their thing. So, more variety from them makes sense.

4. Otunga wrestled the Andre battle royal at WM30, and a few live events last year, but is all but done as a wrestler. He's been something of an ambassador for WWE at times in addition to his speaking roles. I expect that to continue. We could also see him in more WWE movies.

5. I don't see where she's had a match since her WWE release. I'm glad she's found a job outside the business, since she's not wrestling anymore.

6. Russo seems to like to cast himself as the hero, and do things to promote himself as he seeks further employment in the wrestling business. This fits in with that.

More wrestling tomorrow.
