Alberto being Alberto, Slammiversary week press, WWE honors Bret, Smith Hart passes, GFW guests, Sunny in the hospital, and Questions on Jarrett "working" Anthem, Omega-Okada II, Ellsworth winning MITB, and Bryan getting back in the ring

Alberto El Patron buried his airline from Mexico after they lost a bag. Alberto is a very talented wrestler, but I question if his behavior is appropriate for the new public face of the rebranded GFW.

EC3 talked to the Miami Herald before Slammiversary. I expect him to be GFW Champion by the end of the year, which I think would be the right move.

WWE showed Bret Hart's first match with them in honor of his 60th birthday. Wow. That's quite the vintage material.

GFW/Impact promoted their plans to honor victims of last year's Pulse nightclub tragedy. I'm glad they're doing something for Orlando like that.

Smith Hart passed away at 68 after battling prostate cancer. He had been in hospice for some time.

- Smith's official Facebook page gave him a long obituary. The Harts are wrestling royalty.

Paige, Eddie Kingston, and Mr. 450 John Yurnet were backstage at Slammiversary. Paige was with Alberto, and is still under WWE contract, but I wouldn't be surprised if the other two work the upcoming TV tapings.

The former Sunny was taken to an emergency room this weekend. I hope things will start going well for her, physically, mentally, and emotionally.

After Slammiversary went off the air, Alberto El Patron put over his match and his opponent, calling WWE a company full of losers and saying he's a fighter, not a sports entertainer. If it wasn't for WWE making him a "big deal, fairly quick," he wouldn't have the platform or push he's getting now.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. Well, considering he and his connections being downplayed and eventually leaving Impact were a significant part of why the company declined, I don't think it was all that crazy to call on him to repair and rebrand the company. It's not like GFW was the only thing on his resume.

2. 25 8/9*

3. The fallout and rematch got a nice boost in audience. The goal was to get people talking, and it worked.

4. Oh there are places that would love to have a former Wrestlemania headliner wrestling on their show. Carnies gonna carny.

5. I fully expect him to give it a go and at least try to get back in the ring. Someone, somewhere, will clear him if he wants to see if he can still do it. Hell, I can see him trying to have a 60-minute match for NJPW if he can get the stars to align for it to happen.

More wrestling tomorrow.
