Interview with Slipknot head/Edwards, Bret remembers brother, new MYC logo, new Network collections Monday, another MSG show on the Network, NXT attack angle, ROH changing channels/timeslots, and Questions on booking Shinsuke/Braun, Russo's restraining order, not liking MITB, and WWE's international focus costing them U.S. viewers

Corey Taylor of Slipknot discussed getting involved at an NXT live event on talk is Jericho. Cool to see him cross over to wrestling.

Bret Hart remembered his brother Smith following Smith's recent passing. Bret's experienced a lot of tragedy, some of it on a pretty big stage. I really wish him the best.

The Mae Young Classic has a new logo. I'm not really feeling it, especially the color scheme.

Piper's Pit and Razor Ramon are getting WWE Network collections Monday. Glad to see those legends honored.

WWE Network has added another 1977 MSG event to their Old School section.

SAnitY attacked Drew McIntyre to set up an angle in NXT. They're always up to something!

Eddie Edwards talked Slammiversary and more. Here are highlights:
- Full Metal Mayhem was absolutely brutal. I loved it.

- That probably was the end of the Wolves feud, as it likely should be. It's expected Davey will retire at the end of the year.

- I'm willing to give the GFW idea a shot.

- Oh yeah, Abyss and Storm definitely belong in the Hall. Borash, Tenay, and West also come to mind.

- Eddie vs. Alberto could be pretty solid. I didn't like Edwards as champion, but he's more ready to be at that level now.

ROH's TV show is switching channels, now airing on CHARGE! on Sunday nights. That's certainly a better fit thematically, but CHARGE! is in significantly fewer homes so it's an odd move in that sense. The show will still air on local Sinclair affiliates. I'm curious how this move will affect the company going forward.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. The argument has been if they just let Shinsuke wrestle, he'll win the crowd over. But when they book him to do that, Dave buries it. That said, no more Paul Heyman guys. They need to showcase WHY people like Shinsuke the character so we care about his matches. They can't just rely on "he was a big deal in Japan and in NXT" because the mainstream audience doesn't really care since the majority of them never saw him before he showed up on Smackdown. WWE should treat NXT callups as being in front of a whole new audience that's never seen them and needs to be won over by introducing us to what makes them special. "Being a great wrestler" (and he is great) only means so much if they don't make him interesting.

2. I don't know if Russo even does convention appearances, since most of the people who would attend that kind of event have a pretty strong negative opinion of Russo. Given how riled up some of the "Cult of Cornette" is, he's probably wise to stay away from that kind of thing.

3. Some fans are going to complain no matter what, but I think he'll be fine. They've booked him like an absolute beast.

4. I enjoyed it. The main event alone was worth it, and Jinder vs. Randy really delivered, too. I suspect someone's just upset that Carmella and Corbin won.

5. I don't think the two are related inasmuch as I don't think WWE fans are tuning out because of an increased international focus. I do question the effectiveness of catering to niche markets with things like 205 Live and pushing so many "indie" guys without properly acclimating them to the main roster, but that's not limited to the international talents. Someone like Shinsuke can be big deal, but WWE needs to get him over with people who don't watch NXT, ROH, NJPW, etc. They're very different audiences and that needs to be taken into account more than it is.

More wrestling tomorrow.
