Interviews with Piper/Davey Richards/Lita, Sorensen update, Impact lineup, upcoming WWE signing?, more Nick guests, Samoa Joe note, Network news and Questions on the WWE HoF, Bryan vs. HHH and Willow

Roddy Piper talked about a number of WWE topics. It's a shame WWE isn't currently set on featuring him at WrestleMania.

Davey Richards was interviewed about a TNA live event. Damn, TNA. They couldn't have just done Eddie Edwards vs. Robbie E in a singles match or something and have Davey get married the day he planned to? I understand the value in booking him, but he probably had that day picked out in advance specifically because he wasn't booked then.

Jesse Sorensen teased a return to TNA. I don't know if they'd be willing to take the risk of him wrestling again.

Interviews with Fandango/Hogan/Piper, Cena appearance and Questions on Raws we won't see, inducting Razor Ramon, Sting vs. Taker, Paige vs. AJ and the XFL

Fandango was interviewed ahead of WrestleMania. Hard to believe he was feuding with Chris Jericho at this time last year.

Here's a recap of Hulk Hogan talking to Arsenio Hall. Hogan vs. Austin ain't happening, brother.

Roddy Piper was interviewed about a number of WWE topics. I still like the idea of Piper's Pit with Hogan and either Mr. T or Warrior (if not both) being interrupted by, say, 3MB and/or Miz leading to the feel-good moment of the legends standing tall. I would have loved something with Zeb Colter playing off the "Real American" song, but there's no way that will happen. Piper managing McIntyre could be pretty cool. I think celebrities should be used in a way to enhance the current roster as well.

Big Q&A before Impact, Sin Cara I update, Stone Cold in New Orleans, MVP-TNA update, Interviews with Bryan/Reigns/Hogan, HBK to appear, another gimmick match at Mania?, Impact audience and Questions on Stephanie the investor, Taker's contract, Bryan refusing the title, Orton's two belts and Samuel Shaw

"Big" John Gaburick, head of TNA Creative, will be doing a Q&A ahead of Impact Wrestling next week. That should be fun. I'm starting to legitimately think Vince Russo is back in the company with some of the crazy booking there. He is a noted fan of the Beautiful People gimmick.

The original Sin Cara intends to work under that name in Mexico. I'm sure WWE's legal department feels a little differently on the matter. I don't see how he'd be able to use that name at the same time WWE has a character with that name.

Stone Cold will attend the WWE Hall of Fame before WrestleMania. No word on if he'll be on the show itself. I'd put it at a pretty low chance of him getting back in the ring at any point.

Latest YouShoot, Mania week tapings, The Coach back?, Smackdown dark match, Interviews with Vince/Kofi/Booker/Miz and Questions on Attitude Era, crazy Mania booking, Punk on AMC, WWE paying for music and The Authority

The Insane Clown Posse are part of the latest YouShoot (NSFW). Looks pretty hilarious.

WWE will tape Raw and Smackdown on Monday so the roster can head to New Orleans for WrestleMania. I hope you like hype packages.

Jonathan Coachman is teasing something WWE-related for summer. I wonder if we'll see him involved in the Network in some way at some point?

Update: Coachman was interviewed on WWE.com. Nothing too exciting other than working with The Rock. I'm sure Mick Foley would have something to say about thinking Al Snow was a star.

Alexander Rusev beat Darren Young in the dark match before the Smackdown TV taping. This is the "JTG" scenario I was worried about. Honestly, Darren's pretty good at the role of working with less-experienced performers and passing them some tips, so it fits him to be in that kind of spot. Obviously it's not glamorous, but there need to be some steady hands who work with newcomers.

Main Event Reax - 3/25/14, Raw post-match, Impact and NXT matches, Interviews with Bellas/Cena/Kenely/Ziggler, Bryan update, WWE-Scooby intro, Hall talks about induction, celebs in wrestling, HoF inductor named, Raw audience, Y2J update and Questions on WWE commentary, HHH destroying Bryan and the reception to Batista

Main Event:
It's a good compromise for there to be another #1 Contendership match tonight.

Another AMAZING contest with these three. I think Sheamus is a bit underrated in the ring and his opponents are of course top-level athletes.

THAT was good between Dolph and Big E. Dolph and Big E didn't have to put each other down to sell the match. Naturally there's a big difference between "I'm going to kick your ass" and "you're beneath me".

Good tag match. They got enough time to tell a nice story. I'd be fine with AJ vs. Tamina going forward.

Good post-match to build tension.

I wanted Cesaro to win the Andre battle royal, but I don't object to him being in the tag team title picture. Can we please get some Zeb promos about Samoans?

I can't complain too much about that Barrett segment. He's had a lot worse.

Everything else from yesterday is after the break.

Good match between Dolph and Big E. Big E's growing as a performer. I liked the ending.

Good post-match. Fairly heartwarming for them to be on the same page again.

WWE Network update, Ziggler honors Ryder, Andre the drinker, Interview with Ambrose, more live event stuff, Hogan update and Questions on booking Bryan, using Cena to elevate others and Punk running in

The WWE Network app on the PS3 has been updated to be more in line with the Roku and PS4 versions. Sounds good.

Dolph Ziggler pulled out a number of Zack Ryder's signature moves at a Long Island WWE event. Ryder wasn't booked. It's sad WWE can hold back so many talented performers who are scratching and clawing to make their mark.

Jerry "The King" Lawler talked about Andre the Giant's legendary drinking abilities. Andre was something, that's for sure. I wonder what Punk would have thought of his drinking abilities?

Interviews with former announcer/wrestling artist/Foley, former X-Division stars eat dinner with fan, live event note and Questions on Batista's heel turn, wrestling on Broadway, Rock and Austin at WM30 and Lei'D Tapa

Former WWE and AWA announcer Ken Resnick talked about how the WWE Network changes things and more. I definitely think talent should be paid residuals like they would if the content was shown on TV. Some interesting thoughts about the state of wrestling today. I think the beatdown of Bryan was designed to get more heat on HHH and such more than some kind of burial of Bryan.

Former TNA performers Jay Lethal and Sonjay Dutt ate dinner with a fan's family. That's actually really cool.

Acclaimed wrestling artist Rob Schamberger was interviewed. He went all the way back to Hackenschmidt? That's dedication. I can just imagine what request he'll get for favorite wrestler. Someone please get him to do Moppy or Head or Puppet H or something.

Everything else from yesterday is after the break.

Lei'D Tapa update, Interview with Dundee + Houston, why there was a change on NXT, latest on Punk-WWE, more on TNA's NYC tapings, WWE on The Soup, WWE makes changes to Network content, Impact audience, two names dropped from Andre battle royal and Questions on WM30 ending, Flair vs. WCW and TNA employment

Lei'D Tapa acknowledged her TNA departure. I think she did well in a limited role where Gail could lead her, but was still rough around the edges as a competitor. Her lack of experience didn't help things.

Update: Tapa's departure was a TNA call, as opposed to her choosing to leave. You mean it wasn't Gail Kim's call? Seriously, though, TNA continues to make adjustments in the roster under the new regime. I wouldn't be surprised at all to see more names parting ways with the company in the weeks and months to come. Sabin and Bad Influence not being booked for the most recent tapings doesn't exactly bode well for their status.

Bill Dundee and Sam Houston had a joint interview. Jerry Lawler got TOLD by Jarrett. As for Regal, his facial expressions and willingness to do just about any crazy skit they put him in have helped him a lot. The relationship with HHH also keeps him there.

WWE dubbed over Adam Rose's entrance music because they didn't secure the rights to it. WWE has to deal with copyrights, too. Fork over that cash, WWE! I think I'm officially a Rosebud now.

Interviews with Cabana/Kelly/Rhodes/DiBiase,Jr./Striker, WWE PPV updates, Foley talks Raw, WWE to buy new library?, TNA tapings update, new Network shows?, the history of NXT and Questions on Styles-TNA, Hogan, ROH and the new WWE logo

Colt Cabana talked about some WWE topics in a recent interview mostly about his upcoming indie work. I definitely would have liked to have seen him get a legit shot in WWE. He's quite entertaining. If Santino, Eugene and Hurricane can have a spot, I don't see why Colt can't.

The former Kelly Kelly talked about her WWE run. She certainly improved during her time there and became pretty successful. I don't think I'd be against her coming back.

Dish Network will not be carrying WrestleMania 30. DirecTV and inDemand PPV will both be carrying the event, but it might be the last WWE PPV they air. WWE really took a gamble here, so I hope it pays off. It does look like we're moving into a post-cable/post-satellite world.

WWE's doing a two-hour pre-show for WrestleMania in order to use part of it to push fans to go to the Network. I'm sure there will be a lot of mentions of using the WWE App!

Naomi note, TNA partner goes bankrupt, part-timers at Raw, WWE HQ guests, Interview with Reigns, WM30 note, latest on WWE Network and Questions on Del Rio, Bryan's push, predictability and firing Punk

Naomi's eyepatch is just to play up her injury. She's super-tough for continuing that match with Aksana.

TNA's UK DVD distributor has filed for the British equivalent of bankruptcy. They used to have the WWE license. I wouldn't put too much (if any) of the blame on TNA here. It does seem like God's got something out for them at times.

Brock Lesnar and The Undertaker are advertised for Raw. Hulk Hogan could be there as well. There's been less Hogan than I feared. Hopefully that's the case at Mania as well.

Main Event Reax - 3/18/14, what happened after Raw, TNA contract updates, Mysterio news, why Backstage Pass was early, UFC star at WM31?, Angle update, latest on Bryan, Raw audience and Questions on New Jack, throwing fire, Punk and Beth Phoenix in TNA

Main Event:
Truly fantastic opening tag match. Everyone deserves applause for that one. My high praises for Goldust come from having seen him as Black Reign. I'm extremely proud of him for turning things around both personally and professionally.

Great work from Naomi there and I'm very glad to see Layla back at full force.

I liked how Titus wasn't afraid of Show. He showed more here than he has in some of his other recent bookings.

That was pretty cool with Heyman and Taker. I still pop for some of the supernatural stuff.

WWE roster note, note on returning Diva, WWE Network notes, more on WWE sale rumor, Mr. T press release, Ryder episode 2, Smackdown audience, potential Mania match and Questions on Hornswoggle, WWE Purgatory, the future of NXT and Russo

For those who keep track of such things, WWE has officially removed the Superstar profiles of Primo and Epico. They now work regularly as Los Matadores, so WWE just kind of swept their previous personas under a rug.

There was some expectation of Layla not returning to WWE, but she's now back in action and I for one am glad!

There are some incorrect dates for events airing on the WWE Network. Not really sure why, but with that much stuff to keep track of, I'm willing to cut them some slack.

Live event notes including retirement swerve, WWE Network update, latest on Punk's situation and Questions on Kane joining the Wyatts, WWE salaries, Punk in ROH, a WCW One Night Stand and Batista going over

Mark Henry did a version of the "retirement tease" angle he did with Cena at a recent live event. He has said he's not planning on continuing wrestling once his current contract expires in 2016.

Also on that live event, Darren Young beat Titus O'Neil before Titus requested another match. This led to a rollup loss to Kofi Kingston. Kingston was then set to face Bad News Barrett, but Titus attacked Kofi. Darren them came out to even things up leading to a tag match where Titus once again lost to Kofi. I wouldn't read TOO much into this, as there's probably not a huge amount of planning out into live events, but it's certainly something to take a look at.

WWE is reportedly confident of their ability to handle the traffic made by WrestleMania 30. I hope it's for good reason.

JR vs. WWE undercard, Sting Q&A and Questions on Lashley-TNA, WWE's TV home, ROH on PPV, AWA on the Network and tape libraries

Jim Ross took a swipe at members of the WWE undercard in his latest blog. Being part of a 30-man cluster#$*@ is still being on the card at WrestleMania and will be a nice boost to paychecks. Of course, with that many people in the match, they're all sharing the spotlight and wouldn't get the same pay as someone in a one-on-one top match.

Sting answered a number of questions. Just imagine the paycheck for Sting vs. Taker. It's pretty cool he's willing to work with WWE. He deserves a Hall of Fame nod at the least. Interesting for there to be no mention of any TNA matches as his favorites, though I can't say I'm too surprised. I really need to watch Ready to Rumble again...

Title match set for Impact, Interviews with Natalya/Sheamus, Impact audience, Punk on WM30 merchandise, WWE press, WWE live event notes including a return and Questions on TNA Creative, Punk vs. Bryan, the WWE Network, Orton holding two titles and Divas at WM30

Next week's Impact Wrestling will feature The Bro-Mans defending the TNA Tag Team Championship in a three-way tag match featuring The Wolves and the team of Sanada and Tigre Uno. I wouldn't be surprised to see another title switch.

Natalya talked about "Total Divas" and fans. Nothing really groundbreaking.

Impact hit 1.21 million viewers this week. Not outstanding, but they did get a bump after Lockdown.

#Shotsfired from UFC fighter, top TNA team not at tapings, TNA name working Wrestle-1 shows, more on WWE Network, when WWE will announce new TV deal, Orton does a good deed, Foley talks post-wrestling life, big WWE rumor and Questions on the WWE Network, the WWE Hall of Fame and turning Batista

UFC fighter Chael Sonnen tried to get viewers of TSN's Off The Record to call Stephanie McMahon's cell phone in reference to the C.M. Punk situation. TSN blurred her number as Sonnen held it up on a piece of paper. Sonnen has some balls pulling that. I want Punk back in WWE, but I'm not so sure that's the best way to get that to happen.

Bad Influence, Kazarian and Daniels, will not be at the current run of TNA tapings. The tapings will cover TNA TV through April 9, so we won't be seeing them for a while. There's speculation of both men leaving TNA when their contracts expire at some point next month. I think they really add something to TNA as a team and would hate to see them go.

Rob Terry will be working the next tour of Wrestle-1. I hope he's getting better over there.

The TNA X-Division Championship will be defended in Japan on March 22. That's pretty cool.

Former Divas Champ at WWEPC, new WWE signing, post-Lockdown Impact preview, Interviews with Del Rey/Fandango/new Knockout, NXT guests, update on X-Division Champion, new battle royal participant and part-timer updates

Michelle McCool worked out at WWE's Performance Center recently. Can she come in and face AJ Lee at WrestleMania? Please?

WWE has signed Anarchy Wrestling's Steven Walters to a developmental deal. Triple H wasn't kidding about signing a lot of new wrestlers once they got the Performance Center up and running.

Colt Cabana and Cliff "Domino" Compton are part of a new KFC commercial. I thought Comption's eyes were going to pop out of his head.

Rockstar Spud will hold a special "#ThankYouDixie" ceremony on Impact after his boss lost control of TNA at Lockdown. I look forward to it. They've got a lot of interesting story threads to play with now.

Main Event Reax - 3/11/14, Raw note, update on Lashley-TNA, more TNA touring, another former WWE Champion supports Bryan, Raw audience, new WWE Hall of Famer and Questions on Punk saying goodbye, royalties, Bryan at WM30, NXT, credibility, replays, AJ vs. Paige and how Punk's situation affects AJ

Main Event:
I do like the fact a number of talented superstars will get a chance to compete at WrestleMania due to the battle royal. I hope it's not just a throwaway match.

I liked the opening match quite a bit. Los Matadores are much more motivated than they were as Primo and Epico. It's nice to see them giving it their all here.

Good AJ promo. Her performances have kept this angle afloat.

That was a pretty solid Divas' Title match. I'm quite impressed with what they both pulled out. Tamina's involvement was well done. I don't really see who can beat AJ at this point given her defeats of just about everyone.

Weird stuff with Emma and Santino, but I'm glad we're getting some character advancement here.

Great match between Ambrose and Henry. I thought Rollins and Reigns really added to the match. I can see there being complaints of Ambrose not winning clean, but I think they did well enough given the big size difference. I was hoping for a bigger role for Henry going into WM30, but I imagine he'll be in the battle royal. He hasn't really done a lot lately after the big push last summer.

Ric Flair was quoted in a piece remembering Billy Robinson. Great read about Robinson's history. He was one of a kind for sure. I hope we don't hear any more brutal fight stories from the current generation of performers.

WWE will begin airing a two-hour version of Raw in Germany, possibly as a replacement for the three-hour version airing there on another channel. Notably they'll be moving to a channel some thought TNA was set to begin airing on. When it rains, it pours for TNA. By no means are they close to going out of business or anything, but this is another blow at a time when they're trying to rebuild.

Bobby Lashley's return is believed to be more than a one-time thing. I like him alright. Hopefully he really makes the most of this opportunity, because he might not get another one.

The altercation between Batista and Cam Carson at a recent live event was believed to be legitimate. I think both sides really crossed a line here with it turning physical. It's just wrestling, people.

Interesting Bully Ray tweets, live event note, Hogan on Punk, Interview with Stephanie, Lockdown promotion, Impact taping updates and Questions on ending WM30, a WWE Mt. Rushmore and Jim Neidhart

Bully Ray made a number of WWE-related tweets before his appearance at Lockdown, possibly in a bid to pitch going there once his TNA contract expires in (I'm thinking) September. With TNA cutting costs, they might decide Bully's not an essential name to keep around going forward. I think I'd be OK with one last Dudleys nostalgia run in WWE before they hang it up. Not a long one, but kind of a special farewell tour to say they did it after so many years being gone from the company. Then they'd be relegated to things like Old School Raw and the indies once that WWE run got stale, because it's a new day for new teams to shine.

The Great Khali defeated Brodus Clay on a recent live event in what I'm sure was an amazing match. That heel turn on Tensai really got him far...

Hulk Hogan talked about wanting C.M. Punk back in WWE. Their story is a little misleading as this goes back WAY further than Batista headlining WM30. That was likely a contributing factor, but it was by no means the sole reason he left.

Everything else from yesterday is after the break.

Batista fan incident, Taker vs. Brock continues, Cena confirms injury, NXT stars work live event and Questions on getting stories wrong, WWF vs. WWF, the Network, TNA's HoF and TNA paying for WWE footage

Batista reportedly got into a physical altercation with a radio host who was ringside for a live event in Winnipeg. The host in question had an argument with Batista, leading to him striking Batista and Batista shoving him down. Security spoke to the host, but allowed him to remain. Batista later threw the middle finger to the fan, leading to the fan attempting to jump the rail. He was then walked out by security. There's speculation of this being some sort of publicity stunt since the radio station sponsored the show, but nothing's known for sure at this point. If it's not a work, Batista better be in some serious hot water for that. He's not exactly making friends with his coworkers or Management with some of the things he's said and done these past few months.

The Undertaker is advertised for Raw. His match with Brock certainly has a big fight, WrestleMania feel. It will be tough to top next year. Maybe we get Taker vs. Batista then?

John Cena confirmed being hurt vs. the Wyatts. Glad he didn't try to tough through the injury.

TNA Lockdown preview

WWE Network drops content, NXT guest, Interviews with Kazarian/Aries/X-Pac/MVP/Fandango/Cabana, Angle to miss Lockdown, WWE TV update, Conan plays WWE 2K14 and Questions on the HoF, Big Show, Network edits, hijacking Raw and Elimination Chamber vs. Lockdown

WWE has removed some ECW and Legends of Wrestling content from the Network's VOD sections. Hopefully they will eventually have most content available for VOD once they get all the bugs sorted out.

Rob Gronkowski of the New England Patriots was at a recent NXT TV taping. He's a friend of Mojo Rawley. What I've seen so far of the product has been pretty good.

Kazarian talked about the new talent involved in TNA, working in Japan and more. I'd also like to see some more new, talented faces in TNA. I'm not sure if I want to see some of those specific names return unless they bring something new to the table. There are more than enough X-Division style wrestlers in the world already. At any rate, I think Bad Influence has probably been the most enjoyable run of either man's career. There's no reason to think of breaking them up anytime soon.

Interviews with Aries/RVD/Rollins/Bryan/Ziggler, Knockout leaving?, fist pumping with TNA, JR's Mania booking, Slammiversary location, Vince talks Forbes, special guest at AXXESS, cut NXT match and Questions on a Diva DVD, Blue Blazer in the Hall and Punk in the crowd

Austin Aries talked about the current state of TNA and more. I agree it's a two-way street as far as both the talent and promotion have to work together to make a push work. I'm very glad his legacy in TNA didn't end with Austin Starr. I admire TNA giving him a character to work with, but he's much better doing what he does now.

There's speculation of Brooke Tessmacher leaving TNA. That's very unfortunate as she's done well any time they've given her the opportunity to be a featured act. I understand if she has outside ventures to pursue, though.

TNA is adding pre-show parties to their live events featuring DJ Z and Rockstar Spud. That sounds like a good time.

JR talked about how he thinks WrestleMania should end. I still like Bryan beating HHH to set up him facing a frustrated Batista at the end of the night. Batista would beat Orton, then take the mic and rub it in the fans' faces. He complains about all the Bryan chants and challenges Bryan to a match right then and there. Bryan goes over. I think Bryan being champ is the only way to end the night. WWE needs to make this right.

Impact Wrestling Reax - 3/6/14

Read on for my take on last night's Impact Wrestling.

Superstars and NXT Reax - 3/6/14

Read on for my thoughts on yesterday's Superstars and NXT.

Former WWE Champion leaving?, former TNA name at Raw, more Punk fallout including his current status, Interviews with Taz/MVP/Fandango/Usos, vote for Wolves shirt, more Network stuff, new Lockdown match and Questions on WWE opening the doors, depushing A-Ry, Batista and the Network

Rey Mysterio was not at any WWE TV tapings this week, prompting speculation of him not re-signing with the company. There's talk of him going to AAA when they launch their U.S. TV show. That would definitely be a big pickup for AAA! I can see why both sides are looking to go in a new direction. Rey's body has a lot of mileage, the injuries have piled up and there are those two Wellness strikes they can't overlook. It'd be tough to argue for him having a big role with those factors against him. Obviously Orton has some of the same drawbacks, but he's doing well enough in his role at the moment and has been away from the injured/suspension list for a while. It's still risky to push him, but perhaps not as risky as Rey? Either way, I can respect Rey wanting to spend the next (last?) stage of his career down in AAA as a legend. He's earned it.

Former TNA Knockout Sarita was at Raw. As far as I know, there's no discussion of WWE bringing her in. I'd be interested to see what she'd do there, but I don't think they absolutely have to sign her.

There was little if any chance of C.M. Punk being part of Raw in Chicago. He and WWE are still at an impasse. There was talk of having Bad News Barrett address him not being there, but WWE felt that might have only riled the crowd up more (and ticked them off with WWE instead of getting heat on Barrett). I think it would have been hilarious, but Heyman's segment was good enough for the subject.

Everything else from yesterday is after the break.

Main Event Reax - 3/4/14, Query on Rhett Titus-WWE, Dory remembers Billy Robinson, more from MVP, live report from Chicago Raw, Raw visitor, NXT stars on the road, Interviews with Shield/Foley/Big E, new WWE signing, former TNA Creative member speaks, Raw reactions, WWE appearances, football star to WWE?, update on Main Event and Questions on NXTizing WWE, watching PPVs on the Network, Super Bowl vs. WrestleMania and fans walking out of WM30

Main Event:
I still crack up seeing Kane wrestle in his current outfit. It's definitely a new take on the character.

I really enjoyed Bryan vs. Kane. I would like for Bryan to get a major win over Kane before facing HHH at Mania, preferably via submission, to sell him as a major threat. Especially since HHH is treating him as something of a non-issue.

Looks like I'm going to be covering Main Event on Tuesdays now. I can see them moving it if Smackdown gets placed on a Tuesday. That's a LOT of wrestling between Monday and Tuesday.

More selling of Bryan as a non-threat. Kane might have just lost to a former multiple-time WWE and World Champion, but the guy who beat him is just some lucky chump.

That was kind of an odd segment in the tag team title situation. I'm guessing the goal was to prolong the feud without NAO wrestling tonight. Thankfully this gives some more build to the rematch so it means more. I wouldn't be surprised to see a feud-ender at WrestleMania, maybe even a multiple-team match with Cody/Goldust and Ryback/Axel.

I liked the tag match well enough to continue to establish the Usos. I hope they do get a chance to show what they can do as champs.

I wasn't too crazy about the ending, but it was what it was. WWE likes their silliness. I'm guessing we get NAO vs. Los Matadores and THEN we get the tag title rematch? There's no telling. I'd be fine with that. I just don't want them to stretch out NAO's run too much longer. I feel like we've passed the sweet spot of nostalgia.

Latest Jarrett tease, TNA press, a look at the Punk-WWE situation, Interviews with Rollins/MVP, Vince a battling billionaire, TNA status of new X-Division Champ, Billy Robinson passes, JR projects, Smackdown audience, a look at WWE's business, Questions on WWE arenas, Bryan winning twice at Mania, the WWE Network

The Jarrett hype train keeps going with a new video. So umm... what does this have to do with wrestling? I like Karen and Jeff, but this is a wrestling blog and they need to be working on something wrestling-related for me to keep covering them.

TriCities.com covered a local wrestler competing on a TNA live event. As far as I know, this wasn't any kind of tryout or anything. It might have just been a squash match to build Shaw before he faces Anderson.

PWInsider.com has a great look at what's going down between Punk and WWE. It seems like some people in WWE are taking note of us wanting new names in the mix, but there's also HHH throwing Bryan under a bus. There's a difference between implying someone's "good, but not good enough to face HHH" and insinuating they're not in the same league as someone who's largely retired.

Seth Rollins talked in Chicago. Insightful read as always from him. The Shield's an impressive group of guys.

Everything else from yesterday is after the break.

Vince McMahon made Forbes' list of billionaires for the first time.

I can just picture him strutting around saying "I'M A BILLIONAIRE, DAMMIT!"

New TNA X-Division Champion Seiya Sanada will be part of the company for an "indefinite excursion" as part of TNA's relationship with Wrestle-1. That's pretty cool. I hope he's worth the hype.

Billy Robinson passed away at 74. PWInsider.com has a solid recap of his career. He definitely had a big influence on things. Rest in peace, Billy.

Jim Ross talked about being interviewed for an ESPN piece on the WWE Performance Center as well as the upcoming Paul Heyman DVD. I'm looking forward to both of those!

Smackdown's audience this week was approximately 2.80 million viewers, a jump from the previous week. If they do jump to Tuesday nights, they'll likely pull in even more people.

WWE filed a 10-K with a lot of business info, including how many performers they have under contract and what they consider to be competition. I'm surprised there hasn't been a big blood-letting of talent outside of NXT. That had become the norm for a while.

MVP was interviewed about Dixie Carter as an on-screen character and more. It makes sense to phase her out if (when) MVP's team gets the win at Lockdown. I think she's served her purpose for now, though I do enjoy her as something of a guilty pleasure.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. Yep, WWE plays favorites with arenas based on who helped them out in the past. They already have a relationship with that arena and don't see a reason to change things up or go to a competing arena.

2. It might get a little dicey with ensuring the fans there won't be yet another screwjob ending after Bryan beats HHH or after winning the title. And of course, Bryan has to actually go over those two. I'm a fan of heel Batista and it makes sense for him to be champion as they hype his movie, but I think it's Bryan's time. The fans have spoken.

3. I think they really underestimated the difficulties of putting so much content up for so many people to download. There will be more shows available in time.

4. I would MMMMUUUUUCCCCCHHHHHH rather see AJ vs. Paige than the never-ending "Total Divas" feud, but I suspect we'll have to wait until Season 2 kicks off before anything changes in that area of the company.

5. Vince has a different philosophy of what the women should be used for than HHH and the shows are different accordingly. I'd like to think we'll see more solid wrestling as the Performance Center continues to crank talents out.

More wrestling tomorrow.

WWE mention on ESPN, Interviews with Foley/Hogan, TNA title changes, WWE live event notes, more on WWE Network, Questions on Ziggler walking out, shoot interviews, Shane leaving, terrible way to end WM30 and testing the Network

WWE was mentioned on SportsCenter in relation to LeBron James and the Miami Heat having replica WWE Championships.

Mick Foley talked about his history of concussions and more. I could tell Foley really enjoyed his work as Commissioner. I have a soft spot for that role in that time. I hope the people today relying on big bumps and a lot of weapons take note of the toll it took on Foley. I think he's onto something about not having a character be too stagnant. That's where a good number of performers are now I'm afraid. I remember the Mr. McMahon hospital skit. Much better than some of the stuff we're subjected to today.

TNA filmed two title changes at their Wrestle-1 PPV. Even though the events haven't aired yet, TNA is acknowledging the changes on their website. Wrestle-1's Sanada is now X-Division Champion, while the Bro-Mans are once again Tag Team Champions.

Ziggler takes shots at WWE, Interviews with Foley/Otunga/JR, note on new TNA name, Wrestle-1 names working Lockdown, more on WWE Network, Foley talks Batista, more on AAA in the States, Cena update, more from Jarrett, TNA loses international TV home, WWE name change and Questions on WWE Network edits, airing NXT and bringing back the six-sided ring

Dolph Ziggler took to Twitter after WWE edited the crowd response to him on Smackdown. Can't have anyone getting over with the audience without the WWE stamp of approval! This is the kind of @&$# that gets fans in the mood to chant for announcers and generally bury the product and is the absolute wrong way to go.

Mick Foley was interviewed. The stakes are high for WWE to deliver at WrestleMania. The fans are tired of some of the same old acts at the top.

David Otunga was interviewed in a piece that didn't focus much on wrestling, but was still quite a read. I have heard/read exactly ZILCH about him coming back to the ring or anything anytime soon. It wouldn't shock me if WWE just let his contract expire (whenever that will take place) and/or just use him as something of an ambassador.

Query on Tye Dillinger, NXT Arrival notes, lots of #AskDixie questions, current Lockdown card, Impact Wrestling audience and notes, why Boo-Tista?, NXT taping note, Cena injury update and Questions on Robocop in wrestling, the WWE Network, Bryan and Bill DeMott

First up, a query:
1. NXT's Tye Dillinger might be better known as Gavin Spears from the old ECW brand's "new superstar initiative". This is his second stint in WWE developmental. I saw a promo from him as a "split personality" character that was intriguing. I feel one of the best compliments I can give after watching a talent is me being interested in seeing them again in more depth.

PWInsider has some notes from people attending NXT Arrival. They did have some issues that night, but all in all it sounds quite successful! Cena deserves props for letting Neville close the night. That's very classy.

Update: footage of Cena's promo is up. I hope Neville's as big of a star as some online expect him to be.

Everything else from yesterday is after the break.
