Raw dark matches, Ryder's story continues, Questions on Benoit, playing ribs on wrestlers, the Wellness policy being changed, and McIntyre, Hogan takes shot at TNA roster, Hardy out of jail, Rumble ticket info, Bellas on TMZ, THQ seeks feedback on WWE 12, notes on upcoming TNA tapings and PPVs, Smackdown and Impact Wrestling ratings, Maryse interview, Orton promotes Smackdown, former Creative member and comedian passes away, and WWE writes off John Morrison former

The dark match after Raw was Big Show vs. Mark Henry for the World Championship with Booker T. as the referee. Henry got himself DQ'd via belt shot; Del Rio and Miz then assisted him in attacking Show. Cena and Punk made the save, then won the resulting 6-man tag.

Zack Ryder was involved in a backstage skit with Eve and Mae Young for WWE.com. Good thing it stayed there. Yikes.

For Tuesday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. I really don't think there's any new ground to cover on this issue at this point. Some see him almost entirely as an amazing worker, some see him almost entirely as a murderer, and some see him as a combination of the two in varying degrees. It's a personal decision for everyone.

I don't keep up with ROH (mainly due to time concerns and their shows not being easily accessible), so I'll move to 3. That indeed sounds like a rib, but I haven't heard any specifics. As potentially amusing as such things are (William Regal on Superstars a few weeks back), they don't serve any purpose as far as getting a character over, etc.. If it's goofing around before a show or something, that's one thing, but potentially confusing so many fans isn't worth it from a business perspective.

After the break, I go into the rest of the day's questions and news, starting with an alternative for failing the Wellness Policy.

Raw thoughts- 11/28/11

Tonight, in a rematch from Survivor Series, C.M. Punk defends his WWE Championship against Alberto Del Rio. And if that wasn't enough, the show starts off with John Cena in Piper's Pit! It's one of the most buzzed-about shows on TV; read on for my thoughts on Raw!

Morrison talks future, match made for 2012 Raw, Questions on WWE losing top stars, Q and As, breaking into the business, and turning John Cena heel, Big Show and Stratus interviews, Cena wants a new title design, Knockout leaving?, more content on TNA On Demand?, Ziggler note, Bryan gear note, Laurinaitis blooper reel, new WWE Network campaign, Storm update, Raw change of plans, WWE.com looks at Cena's character, Hall of Famer backstage, Raw dark match, and the latest cryptic video

John Morrison tweeted that he'll give an update on his future next week. It's looking all but certain that he's finishing up with WWE.

In what I'm assuming/hoping is a dark match, Michael Cole vs. Jerry Lawler is advertised for the 1/2/12 Raw in Memphis.

PWInsider.com has some new questions up to ponder:
Nothing to add to 1. 2 is indeed kind of warped. It couldn't have just been "for whatever reason they weren't able to be on the show"? Anyway, I think that Punk or Miz would be good choices to face Rock given the history and feud potential. Obviously if they could get Austin or Jericho to work the show that'd be great but there are no guarantees there. There are a number of possibilities with Undertaker (?), Big Show, Mark Henry, Sheamus, Alberto Del Rio, Kevin Nash (sorry), Kane and maybe someone like Wade Barrett, Cody Rhodes or Daniel Bryan. Rock's match would still likely headline. I'd hate to have to follow him as heavily as his match has been built.

3. I'm drawing a blank, too. I think maybe Sean Waltman still does his blog on such things, but I don't know how regularly.

After the break, I go into the rest of the day's questions and news, starting with breaking into the business as an announcer or creative member.

Big Show interview, Jericho update, Questions on the McMahon limo explosion, Kaitlyn vs. AJ, Diva air time, more of "The Wrestler", and Karen Jarrett, Netflix-wrestling updates, note on Smackdown, Sin Cara shirt pulled, and Cena to be in Piper's Pit

Big Show was interviewed ahead of WWE coming to his home state of South Carolina. My neck of the woods (NC) is known for its barbecue and sweet tea as well, so hopefully he tests it out next time he's around those parts.

In what will be the final Chris Jericho update until something more substantial arises in regards to wrestling, he's announced that Fozzy will be touring this coming summer, likely ruling out a WWE return in that timeframe. No more music-related news here.

On to Sunday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. I do vaguely remember something about an FBI investigation, but that's all. How on Earth could they have possibly ended that one well? It was a pretty weird moment. Honestly, looking back, it wouldn't have surprised me if he orchestrated it himself in storyline given the odd actions beforehand.

After the break, I go into the rest of the day's news and questions, starting with Kaitlyn walking out on AJ.

DLC for WWE '12, WWE.com interviews with Booker and Bryan, Questions on a title for Internet shows, Bryan's cash in, Jonah Hill, and the Divas, Angle-Olympics update, where's the Anonymous Raw GM, more from Dreamer, and a new FCW Diva signing

WWE is promoting THQ's complete list of currently announced DLC for WWE '12.

Booker T. talked to WWE.com about the situation with Cody Rhodes. It certainly appears that he'll get back in the ring against him at some point. Rhodes is a talented guy, and I'd like to see him get the rub from  the former multiple-time World Champion.

Daniel Bryan also talked to WWE.com, giving his reasons for cashing in on Smackdown. Good reasoning. Talented guy who's getting better at promos, but I think he's a long-shot for winning on Tuesday.

PWInsider.com had a new batch of questions for Saturday. Here's my take:
1. They generally are very enjoyable. I'd be a fan of there being a title for Superstars umm... superstars to fight for if the show was treated like its own brand. Theoretically, the people there are potential contenders for other titles, but just happen to be wrestling on their brand's portion of the show. NXT should be about people who "aren't on the roster yet" and their Pros looking to earn their way to a contract with Raw or Smackdown (or hypothetically if Superstars was its own brand, they could earn a spot there). I think it might benefit the shows to get more attention, but it doesn't look like WWE pays too much attention to them (except occasionally as a place to put people they're looking at for bigger things like Brodus Clay, Derrick Bateman, AJ and Kaitlyn, etc.). I agree that the current titles should stay where they are.

After the break, I go into the rest of the day's news and questions, starting with Daniel Bryan's MITB cash-in on Smackdown.

Impact Wrestling post-show, Interviews with Kim, Kelly, Tara, and Kofi, Items announced for Impact Wrestling, ex-WWE star responds to being called a turkey, no more TNA house shows in 2011?, Punk talks, Hemme talks WWE, Laurinaitis discusses his shirt, WWE's social media strategy praised, and Z! TLIS #41

Here's the post-show for the Thanksgiving edition of Impact Wrestling.

Gail Kim gave an interview covering her WWE departure and signing to TNA. The WWE situation is quite disappointing.

Kelly Kelly gave an interview promoting WWE '12. It's cool that she played video games when she was younger.

Tara gave a lengthy interview with Diva-Dirt. One of my all-time favorite female workers.

Kofi Kingston also gave an interview about WWE '12. You might be noticing a trend here...

After the break, I go into the rest of the day's news, starting with what's been announced for the next edition of Impact Wrestling.

Smackdown thoughts- 11/25/11

On a Black Friday edition of Smackdown, we get the fallout from WWE Survivor Series. Mark Henry sitill holds the World Heavyweight Championship, but was disqualified for his actions on Sunday. Big Show will certainly be looking for revenge here. Smackdown begins the road to TLC, the final PPV of 2011. Read on for my thoughts on the show as it happens.

Monday's WWE Title match changed?, JR and Taker updates, Questions on elimination matches, some kind of anti-WWE rant, Ryder, saying wrestling, Twitter, Wasteland, and powerbombs in cages, WWE a defendant in a new lawsuit, Miz interview, O'Haire arrested for battery, and a Natalya interview

Thursday's news started with a potential spoiler: The arena hosting Raw is advertising John Cena in a triple threat match with C.M. Punk and Alberto Del Rio for the WWE Championship. Since they are also advertising a World Title match between Mark Henry and Big Show, it doesn't look like this is a dark match. Maybe this is a mistake, but we'll find out for sure on Monday. I think that match is fine on its own, but WWE loves Cena so it wouldn't surprise me if he's involved.

Jim Ross updated his own and Undertaker's status in a blog post. Doesn't seem like anything's changed since the last time people asked him about the subject.

Thanksgiving featured a double dose of PWInsider.com questions. Here's my take:
1. I'm fine with there not being more than one elimination match. They've basically become excuses to throw people together instead of combining feuds in a somewhat natural way. If they start putting more focus on the feuds and characters that makes the matches feel like they're there for a reason other than tradition, then maybe I'll change my mind.

2. This is by far one of the most poorly constructed and asked questions I have ever read. Both questioner and answerer should be ashamed for it being brought to my attention. I feel my IQ dropping from having read it and seeing it treated as a serious inquiry. I will never get this time back, and I curse the both of you for that. After the break, I'll try to piece together a response, but I think I may need a translator who speaks crazy and uneducated. Then I'll go into the rest of the day's news and questions.

Superstars and Impact Wrestling thoughts- 11/24/11

This week on a Thanksgiving edition of WWE Superstars, Tyson Kidd goes up against big Ezekiel Jackson. Then, on Impact Wrestling, Crimson teams with Matt Morgan in a rematch with Mexican America, James Storm looks for revenge against Kurt Angle, and the Knockouts compete in Thanksgiving Thong Thunder! Should be a stuffed 3 hours. Read on for my thoughts on the shows as they happen.

Thursday, November 24, 2011

Sin Cara has knee surgery, Bellas visit troops, Questions on leaving companies with World Titles, Rock being tested, trending, Taker at Mania, the Kliq, and Justin.TV, updates on Morrison/Melina's future, Matt Hardy legal update, new Rock DVD, WWE video game accessories, former Nexus member removed from roster, superstars at comic convention, Neal interview, Knockouts visit troops, WWE rents studio space, WWE giving away a Mustang, Heyman book update, more on TNA's India project, Punk Q&A and interview, Vince talks Austin hospital scene, and Miz takes over an entertainment show

Sin Cara has undergone knee surgery, as per his brother. Apparently it well, which is good to hear. I'm looking forward to his return.

The Bella Twins visited West Point on behalf of WWE. Pretty cool.

For Wednesday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. This was actually a pretty good question to think about, but I do agree that the situations are different. Ric Flair had given a $25,000 deposit for his championship title, and since he wasn't given that money back, he brought the physical title to the WWF.

2. Another good question to think about! Since he's only appearing for a certain number of dates, he might not be under the same protocols as a standard talent. Given how the company's handled the suspensions of R-Truth and Sin Cara, they'd find a convenient time in his contract to "write him off" for 30 days... which, he 's not appearing often enough for that to be noticeable except around WrestleMania. If he failed close to then, maybe they'd wait until after the match (if he was still under contract)? I don't see it happening either way. "Boots to Asses" did in fact trend worldwide, but I don't think any other catchphrase from that segment did.

After the break, all the rest of the day's news and questions, starting with who should The Undertaker face if he's cleared for WrestleMania?

NXT thoughts- 11/23/11

Today, on NXT Redemption, the competition hits week 38.  Darren Young is back on the show, and Titus O'Neil has been put on notice. Will either of these men move closer to becoming a breakout star, or will that honor go to Derrick Bateman? Anything can go down on this week's show and probably will. Read on for my thoughts on the show as it happens.

Wednesday, November 23, 2011

Post-Raw dark match, WWE talks to Trish, Miz talks attack, Melina talks release, R-Truth suspended, WWE video game releases, Mysterio appearance, examining Sin Cara's injury, UK ratings, Layla update, Slammy Awards set, TTTT '11 poster, theme and host for next week's live Smackdown, Foley talks comedy, Luger talks turning his life around, Raw rating, Orton interview, Sheamus talks anti-bullying, Matt Hardy update, and Jericho's 1/2/12 whereabouts

After Raw went off the air, John Cena, Randy Orton and Big Show defeated The Miz, Dolph Ziggler, and Jack Swagger. Miz walked out on his team in the middle of the match.

Trish Stratus talked to WWE.com about WWE '12 and more. I'd love to see her face Kharma as well. Kharma's still under contract, and as far as I know they plan on using her once she makes it through pregnancy. I wouldn't get my hopes up on that match happening, but it's always possible.

The Miz briefly commented on his attack to R-Truth. Certainly an interesting turn of events.

Melina talked about her release from WWE and more. I don't see WWE looking her way again any time soon, and there's still no word about TNA being interested.

R-Truth was suspended for 30 days after violating the Wellness Policy. Want to know how to blow the biggest push of your career? Do what he did. It's possible that this suspension was held off until after Survivor Series for obvious reasons. He didn't just let himself down, he let WWE down. I hope he learns from this and comes back strong. His work's been amazing lately and this self-created setback is quite unfortunate.

WWE released WWE '12 today, and WWE All-Stars made its way to the 3DS.

After the break, I go into the rest of the day's news and notes.

Raw thoughts- 11/21/11

Last night featured the return of The Rock, and he did what he does best. John Cena, The Miz, and R-Truth all got the smackdown laid on them. Also at Survivor Series, C.M. Punk defeated Alberto Del Rio to become the new WWE Champion. What will be the fallout of the biggest event of the fall? Read on for my thoughts on the show as it happens.

Query on Homicide-WWE, Sin Cara injury update, what happened after Survivor Series, Rock's return covered, Questions on Sheamus and why Rock returned, Survivor Series visitors, Tribune talks WWE booking, WWE merch, Ryan interview, Twitter madness, more on Foley-30 Rock, USA Today looks at WWE '12, JBL asked to work Survivor Series, WWE stock not recommended, WWE appearances at FCW, Punk shoots on Rock and gives Cabana another shoutout, Smackdown rating, WWE's social buzz, Nash pulled from advertising, new WWE job opening, a new WWE production team member, new Guest Booker DVD, Raw dark match, what the video URL was on Raw, WWE '12 news, Punk's Teen Wolf reference and who it was referring to, AJ shows concern for Bryan, WWE on Mashable Award ballots, and the tease of Kane's return

First up for Monday's news is a query:
1. I haven't heard anything about Homicide possibly going to WWE in quite some time. I believe he's presently under contract to the Urban Wrestling Federation and wouldn't be able to go there. He would be a natural fit for Hunico's faction with Primo and Epico.

Sin Cara is expected to be out for 6-9 months following his knee injury at Survivor Series. Another unfortunate setback in the career of the Mexican sensation. Very sad that we'll have to wait so long to see him continue his rise in WWE. I think he could have a pretty big upside in the years to come.

After Survivor Series, The Rock thanked the WWE crowd for supporting him, declaring that night the best of his WWE career. He then shook a lot of hands at ringside, including those of the announcers and staffers. Cool to hear.

Update: Here's video. Ahhh, good stuff. Man can damn sure work a crowd.

Also after that show, Alberto Del Rio addressed his loss to C.M. Punk. Cool enough.

The Rock's return was covered by the New York Daily News.

On to my look at PWInsider.com's questions:
1 and 2 are just for them, but for 3 It could be argued that it would make sense for him to use that leg, because he would use the stronger one to walk on. He wouldn't want to hobble into those moves. I haven't met enough people to give a qualified answer to 4, so after the break I look at The Rock's return and the rest of the day's news.

Questions on Drew McIntyre, Shaq vs. Show, losing streaks, retirements, Nash, running WWE, PPVs vs. TV, Vince reading the internet, and ROH , Cena's "coach" talks, HHH interview, pre-Survivor Series angle, Survivor Series dark match, and Ryder thanks his broskis

I apologize for being so behind lately! Here's Sunday's news, starting with PWInsider.com questions:
1. Realistically, no, I don't see him getting that big of a push again. I'd love for him to get noticed and pushed again, but for whatever reason he's stuck on the fringes of WWE.

2. I'm a little surprised that we haven't heard anything from him since that appearance. Big Show's a pretty major face now, and I don't see them playing Shaq heel so it doesn't look like WWE's thinking that route. Part of me would like to see it, and it would certainly get WWE the attention it's after, but it doesn't really look likely.

3. As was answered, that's their goal. The person in question is leaving. It wouldn't make any sense to push them if they're going out the door (and potentially to the competition). They still have them under contract, so they want to use them, and having them put over the other members on the roster is a good use for them.

4's kind of related to 3. I could go either way on the "losing your last match" thing. If it's Undertaker (hypothetically) retiring at WrestleMania, then obviously the streak should stay intact, but generally speaking there's a big rub to be given to the person who wins that match for retiring their opponent.

After the break, I go into the rest of the day's news and questions, starting with where WWE's going with Kevin Nash.

WWE Survivor Series thoughts

Tonight, WWE presents Survivor Series. It's a show with a lot of history, and that looks to be added to tonight. Not only does The Rock return to the ring after 7 years, but he teams with his WrestleMania 28 opponent John Cena. They face off with the dastardly Awesome Truth. Also, Alberto Del Rio defends his WWE Championship against C.M. Punk, two behemoths collide when Mark Henry puts his World Heavyweight Championship on the line against Big Show, and Randy Orton will lead his team against Wade Barrett's. RThat and more tonight. Read on for my thoughts on the show as it happens.

WWE Survivor Series preview

Tonight, WWE presents its annual Fall Classic from Madison Square Garden. Every match is either a title match or a grudge match (if not both), so this one's pretty important. The Rock, John Cena, The Miz, R-Truth, Mark Henry, Big Show, Randy Orton, Sheamus, C.M. Punk, Alberto Del Rio, Wade Barrett, and Sin Cara are all in action. Read on for how I'd book the show.

Matt Hardy kicked from rehab and arrested, Austin interview/Tough Enough update, Questions on WWE's use of gimmick matches, SHIMMER, and Angle's UFC claims, Rima Fakih in talks to return to WWE, Brisco update, Dreamer column, Cena interview, and a rapper likes Scott Hall

Matt Hardy was kicked out of rehab after failing a breathalyzer test, then arrested for violating the court order that send him there. I'm done defending this guy. He's blown too many chances. I truly don't care if I never see him involved in wrestling again at this point. He's burned through all the sympathy I had for him.

Update: His girlfriend Reby Sky commented on the latest setback.

Stone Cold Steve Austin updated the status of a future Tough Enough. Why they haven't decided to bring it back yet is beyond me. Also in that interview he talked about a number of potential matches that would get him back in the ring. I can see what he's saying about Punk, though the fans were so behind him, that they almost HAD to turn him face.

After the break, I go into the rest of the day's news, starting with PWInsider.com's questions. First up, WWE blowing gimmick matches.

Saturday, November 19, 2011

Maryse done with wrestling, Miz talks Survivor Series, Beth and Punk interviews, WWE 12 launch trailer, Impact Wrestling post-show, Questions on WWE-Fear Factor, backup career plans, 3-hour Impacts, Xplosion, and Melina-TNA, WWE's Twitter moments, Cody talks Zelda, Grantland looks at Survivor Series, Jericho interview, Impact Wrestling rating, another WWE.com redesign incoming,

Maryse said in a recent interview that she's done with wrestling, specifically ruling out TNA. That's not hugely surprising. I grew to like her as a character and in the ring but I don't think this was a massive loss for the industry. I hope where she goes from here is good for her. The Miz also talked up his match for Sunday. Entertaining guy.

Beth Phoenix was interviewed ahead of Survivor Series. Good read. It is kind of weird that characters who bully on TV preach anti-bullying. I'm not really sure what the way around that is in kayfabe other than not having heels do the campaign.

C.M. Punk was also interviewed on WWE '12 and Survivor Series, and like any of his interviews, it's a good read.

Here's the WWE '12 launch trailer. They've done a great job pushing this one as something new and distinct.

Here's the Impact Wrestling post-show.

After the break, I go into the rest of the day's news and notes, starting with a look at PWInsider.com's questions.

Smackdown thoughts- 11/18/11

We're only 2 nights from Survivor Series. The biggest PPV of the fall will feature Mark Henry vs. Big Show for the World Heavyweight Championship and Team Orton vs. Team Barrett. Tonight, both Champion and challenger are in attendance and Randy Orton teams with Sheamus face off with Wade Barrett and Cody Rhodes. That and plenty more on Smackdown tonight. Read on for my thoughts on the show as it happens.

TNA cancels South American tour, Daniels interview, Heyman talks Austin, Awesome Truth talks Sunday, Kim interview, Questions on the Barrett Barrage, Cena turning heel, holding more than one title at the same time, and referees being distracted, WWE looking to fill important position, WWE Network news, Cena apologizes for missing GameDay, TNA wants to send talents to OVW, Neal leaving TNA?, vote for Mania shirt design, stipulation added to Survivor Series match, Waltman/HBK talk HHH/Nash, Z! TLIS 40, WWE '12 review, "The Informer" talks WWE news, Tough Enough competitor starts at FCW,

TNA has canceled their South American tour because of contractual difficulties with the event organizers. Well that sucks. AJ Styles was profiled in Chile to promote it.

Daniels was interviewed, talking up being a heel. Hopefully that doesn't backfire and make those followers hate the person rather than the character. The character doing it is great, but there's kind of that question of "is he really a jerk or is he just messing with us?"

Paul Heyman discussed Stone Cold Steve Austin's run in ECW with WWE.com. Paul Heyman working with WWE again is surreal. Can there please be more where this came from?

The Miz and R-Truth discussed their strategy for Survivor Series. HERE'S how you do the "shaky cam backstage interview" thing, TNA. There's potential for these two as big heels if they look good at the PPV.

Gail Kim talked about TNA coming to the UK with The Sun.

Up next, PWInsider.com's questions:
1. Losing to Orton, probably. Then WWE will wonder why he's not getting over as a top heel and keep him below main event level. Rinse and repeat with the next guy getting pushed. I hope I'm wrong about that, as he's shown great potential to be a top player in the company.

After the break, I look at the rest of their questions and the rest of the day's news, starting with another "turn John Cena heel" question.

Superstars and Impact Wrestling thoughts - 11/17/11

Today on WWE Superstars, Tyson Kidd squares off with Trent Barreta in a match of young and hungry competitors. Then on Impact Wrestling, the fallout from Turning Point begins. How will AJ Styles react to what happened in the main event? What will Sting have in store for everyone? Plus, Robbie E celebrates becoming the TNA TV Champion, and 10 Knockouts compete in a gauntlet match to determine the #1 Contender to Gail Kim's title. All this and more today. Read on for my thoughts on the shows as they ha

Questions on Hart being part of the WCW buyout, overanalyzing, D'Angelo Dinero, 2012 Rumble, Serena interview, Punk to do O&A, WWE stars seen at The Kowloon, Del Rio interview, Hogan game goes more international, Rock talks Rock Bottom, Savage in WWE 12, Foley after Raw, did Taker ball with Magic?, WWE tops list of mobile video searches, new Survivor Series match, no Cena on GameDay, Maria shoot preview, Foley on 30 Rock, and Goldust wants Cody at Mania

Starting with Wednesday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. This was a very interesting question and response. I would have assumed his contract was one of those that had to agree to be transferred, since he was a big signing there.

2. I definitely think it takes some of the fun away. Some would say a lot. I agree with a lot of what was said here. I try not to be one of "those" fans who overanalyze and look for meaning in every little thing, but I almost certainly fall victim to it as well. I do armchair booking just like a lot of others, but I try to give things chances and not take it TOO seriously. But I do think that most if not all matches need to have a purpose (even if it's just "have these guys on TV so they stay in fans' minds" and doesn't accomplish much else). Of course, those shouldn't be the norm. Matches should matter in the grand picture the bookers are trying to make. It is more enjoyable to say "they have a number of ways they could go that could be interesting" than "here's how they blew it/are blowing it". I'll give them that. Wins and losses aren't the end all-be all in my mind compared to where things go from there. If a heel gets himself DQ'd, he loses but he could still really make you care about what he's doing if things are done right.

3. Nothing really to add there. They just want to push other people and issues. Same story as everything else it feels like at times.

After the break, I go into the rest of Wednesday's news and questions, starting with how many competitors will be in the next Royal Rumble.

NXT thoughts- 11/16/11

Today on NXT: Redemption, the competition enters week 37. In other words, this is the start of the 10th month of this show, and we still don't have a winner. But they've got to have one at some point, right? Derrick Bateman, Titus O'Neil and whoever else stops by will get their chances to shine and show that they deserve to be featured on Raw and/or Smackdown. Read on for my thoughts on the show as it happens.

Tuesday, November 15, 2011

What happened after Raw, Raw dark match, Questions on Benoit, pushes, Storm's concussion, and Rock-Cena, Cabana interview, corrected Smackdown rating, Billy Gunn interview, Survivor Series ticket contest, Hogan talks Rock, Foley in WWE '12, Slaughter at Ford 300, Foley questions Rock, Cena on GameDay, Foley career retrospective, TV Champion on VGA, Jeff Hardy video, Graham update, Robinson to have autobiography, Ross not doing Survivor Series, Cena spotted, Raw rating, former WWE star works Smackdown dark match, and a Matt Hardy update

After Raw went off the air, John Cena, C.M. Punk and Randy Orton faced off against Mark Henry and Awesome Truth. After chants for him, Punk fetched Zack Ryder (in street clothes) joined the proceedings and his team picked up the win. Ryder then talked about his Internet show leading to teaming with those partners and told the fans they were the Broskis of the Week. Good to see him getting noticed.

Before Raw, Michael McGillicutty beat JTG which is interesting since at last check they were both heels. Both play their roles well, so I'd be a bit surprised if either changed sides. It'd make more sense for McGillicutty to be the one to do so.

On to my look at PWInsider.com's questions:
1. I don't think I'm seeing what they're trying to convey in their answer unless they're saying that Benoit the character and Benoit the performer were one in the same (which they're pretty close. It's not like he was playing a rapper or something). I can see the questioner's argument. It's just pretty difficult to watch his character's performance and not think of what the actor did.

2. I don't know about the first part of the theory, but I definitely think they're trying to have a number of stars instead of one megastar. I'm for that personally, because as tons of online fans will tell you just having one or two people at the top of the card being more over than everyone else is monotonous and can be boring.

After the break, I go into the rest of the day's questions and news, starting with James Storm competing with a concussion.

Raw thoughts- 11/14/11

Tonight on USA Network, The Rock comes to Boston. He'll confront the man he faces at WrestleMania, and the man he teams with this Sunday, John Cena. What will their opposition, Awesome Truth, do to tip the sclae in their own favor for Survivor Series? Also, on this massive 3 hour Raw, Jim Ross has been invited once more to take the Michael Cole Challenge. Will we see another change in the Raw announce team after tonight? Both Raw and Smackdown are in attendance, so pretty much anything can happen. Read on for my thoughts on the show as it happens.

Queries on Jackson Andrews and HHH, First match set for Impact Wrestling, Iron Sheik reschedules appearance due to health issues, Punk DVD in the works, TNA exec to undergo surgery, Questions on Cena turning heel Sunday, Epico, Natalya, and John Morrison, Jarrett takes swipe at MMA, Booker confirms return, Laurinaitis to evaluate indy talent, Foley standup, 2011 NWA Hall of Fame class, Iron wants to Rumble, McIntye interview, Hall through rehab again, Hart interview, Kamala speaks, Canterbury update, Impact Wrestling preview, former WWE star backstage at Impact Wrestling, Divas title match set for Survivor Series, Smackdown rating, and why Hill's hosting Raw

A couple of queries to start the news day:
1. I don't know of any interest in TNA for Jackson Andrews. I haven't heard much on him at all since his WWE release.

2. Triple H wasn't fired as COO, just relieved of his GM-like duties for Raw. He's still the on-screen CO, and presumably the plan as for him to come back to wrestle Kevin Nash. You'd think we'd hear more about his progress since in storyline he's the most powerful single person of the whole company (only the Board as an entity has more control over things).

Impact Wrestling will feature a 10-Knockout Gauntlet match for the #1 Contendership to Gail Kim's newly won Knockouts Championship. So there's where some of the recently-absent females of TNA (ODB, Jackie) will pop back up.

The Iron Sheik has pulled out of an appearance recently due to his ankle and knee issues. He'll reschedule what he missed.

WWE is working on a C.M. Punk documentary (as mentioned by the Chicago Tribune), which will also feature a number of matches he's had there. Should be good. He definitely beats to his own drum, and I'd like to see more performers follow his lead as far as hard work and standing out goes.

After the break, I go into the rest of the day's news, including PWInsider.com's questions.

TNA Turning Point thoughts

Tonight TNA puts its first PPV since Bound For Glory. New TNA World Champion Bobby Roode defends his title against AJ Styles. Jeff Hardy takes on Jeff Jarrett. Gail Kim looks to become a dual champion as she faces Velvet Sky. All this and more from Orlando. Read on for my thoughts on the show as it happens.

TNA Turning Point preview

Tonight TNA puts on another PPV tonight, with 5 title matches and a number of grudge matches on the agenda. Everyone has their own take on how the show should go down. Read on for mine.

Chyna campaigns for WWE return, Kamala retires due to amputation, Questions on the Beautiful People, AJ, Johnny Curtis, the current state of TNA, and giving Cena edge, WWE selling "Future Endeavored" merch, and a Marc Mero interview

Chyna continued her campaign for a WWE return with a YouTube video. Add me to the list of those who don't want to see her back.

Kamala recently retired after complications from diabetes led to a foot amputation being necessary. That's sad to hear.

After the break, I go into the rest of the day's news (there isn't much!), beginning with PWInsider.com's questions.

Saturday, November 12, 2011

New matches made for Turning Point, USA to air Tribute with limited commercials, Canterbury update, Questions on autobiographies, the future of sports entertainment, commentators looking at monitors, and Eve, Survivor Series party, where Norman Smiley is, updates on Bourne, Morrison, Nash, and Sin Cara, potential WWE hire profiled, 17 WWE Network show ideas, Z! TLIS #39, WWE looks at Kox, and the Impact Wrestling rating

Mr. Anderson and Abyss vs. Scott Steiner and Bully Ray has been added to Turning Point, as well as a TV Title match between Eric Young and Robbie E. Not bad ideas, but things like this should be announced on TV.

The 2-hour Tribute To The Troops special on USA will have limited commercial interruptions. So, why should we watch the 1-hour one beforehand?

Mark Canterbury has undergone another surgery on his leg. He's doing as well as could be expected given his injuries.

As for my take on Friday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. Vince McMahon, hands down. If I can't pick him (since "wrestlers" was specified), Kevin Nash. Given how much flak he's gotten over the years and the backstage stories, I'm sure he'd have some interesting things to say on the subjects. Patterson's a good choice as well.

2. I can definitely see it changing once he's not as involved with things. I'm curious as to what Triple H would do if he was legitimately in charge. It's kind of a crap shoot what WWE's future is since it's so closely intertwined with his. It's possible that they try to emulate MMA and/or treat things more like a legitimate sport like ROH, but that'd be quite a stretch based on how they are currently.

After the break, I go into the rest of the day's news and questions, starting with why WCW went awry.

Smackdown thoughts- 11/11/11

Last week, Daniel Bryan survived his encounter with the Mark Henry thanks to Big Show. Tonight, the World's Strongest Man gets a rematch. With a match for his World Title looming at Survivor Series, will he be able to focus on Mr. Money In The Bank's technical aresnal? That main event and more tonight on Smackdown from Liverpool. Read on for my thoughts on the show as it happens.

Queries on 2nd/3rd generation wrestlers and TNA's rating, Jericho shoots down return (?), Questions on Alex Riley, Ezekiel Jackson, WWE Creative, Taker vs. Jericho, and Jericho vs. Punk. catching up with Perry Saturn

Someone wants to know who on the current wrestling rosters are 2nd or 3rd generation.
For WWE: Alberto Del Rio (son to Dos Caras), The Rock (grandson to Peter Maivia, son to Rocky Johnson), Michael McGillicutty (son to Mr. Perfect), Primo (son to Carlos Colon), Cody Rhodes (son to Dusty Rhodes), The Usos (son to Rikishi), Justin Gabriel (son to The "Pink Panther", Paul Lloyd, Sr.), Randy Orton (son to "Cowboy" Bob Orton and grandson to Bob Orton, Sr.), Sin Cara (son to Dr. Karonte), Ted DiBiase (son to Ted DiBiase, Sr.), Natalya (daughter to Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart and granddaughter to Stu Hart), and Tamina (daughter to Jimmy "Superfly" Snuka).

For WWE's developmental territory FCW: Bo Rotundo and Husky Harris (sons to IRS, grandsons to Blackjack Mulligan), Leakee (son to Sika), Ricky Steamboat Jr. (son to Ricky Steamboat), and Raquel Diaz (daughter to Vickie Guerrero). There's also the currently unassigned Brittani Knight (son to "Rowdy" Ricky Knight and Sweet Saraya).

And as for TNA: Does Garett Bischoff count yet? He's Eric's son. There's also Jeff Jarrett (son to Jerry Jarrett).

The other query received asked if TNA has ever been rated TV-MA. Nope. Only TV-14 to my knowledge. I don't know if they'd be able to do that rating in primetime.

After the break, I go into the rest of the day's news, including PWInsider.com's questions. First up, Chris Jericho talks about a possible WWE return.

WWE in MSG, updates on Taker, Kane and Jericho, Henry at Schwarzenegger museum, Haku interview, Questions on the WWE Network, Gail's TNA return, Lohan on Raw, Nexus, and WWF vs. WWF, Nash works another house show, more Muppets, Christian updates, Kim interviews, KOTR DVD cover, Styles update, Show interview, Jericho not in WWE '12 but Batista is, Styles talks Hogan and TNA, HHH talks Austin matches, Karl Kox passes, Brisco update, WWE.com looks for Taker, and the post-Impact Wrestling show

The Motley Fool has a piece on Madison Square Garden looking outside of the NBA during the lockout. WWE was mentioned.

The Undertaker isn't expected back in the ring for WWE until WrestleMania, if then. If Chris Jericho come s back to the company, it would likely be around the timeframe of Mania as well. Neither of those stories are particularly surprising, though it seems that Taker's hypothetical return keeps getting pushed back.

Kane could be a surprise entrant in the 2012 Royal Rumble. He isn't expected back before then.

Mark Henry visited the Arnold Schwarzenegger Museum in Austria.

Haku/Meng The Barbarian was interviewed.

On to my take on PWInsider.com's questions:
1. There's not much telling how well it will do at this point for the reasons they mentioned, but it will certainly include non-wrestling content (like their movies). The WWE brand moved away from just being wrestling a long time ago!

After the break, I go into the rest of the day's questions and news, starting with whether Gail Kim's TNA return has caused the Knockouts to step up their games.

Superstars and Impact Wrestling thoughts- 11/10/11

Today on WWE Superstars, William Regal steps back in the ring for his home countrymen. His opponent? Mr. Money In The Bank, Daniel Bryan. These two have quite a bit of history. There's a reason Bryan wears the same maroon that Regal's known for! Later, on Impact Wrestling, the new World Champion addresses the fans after his controversial victory last week. AJ Styles goes one on one with Daniels. And in the most anticipated match in weeks, Ronnie from Jersey Shore teams with Eric young to face Robbie E and ROb Terry. Read on for my thoughts on the shows as they happen.

Questions on frustration, WWE's direction, booking Miz and Del Rio, and referees counting, appearances by Sheamus, Santino and Kelly, TNA set collapse case dismissed, Morgan,/Hemme/So Cal Val at Johnny Damon charity event, Graham hospitalized, WWE Greatest Matches book, Rock part of Veterans Day event, new Taz shirt, Godwin in serious car accident, press release on Rock's Raw, Barrett interview, change to TTTT, Lawler interview, new WWE logo?, Sheamus and DiBiase in "football" stadium, Sheamus interview, and a possible injury

Wednesday's news started with PWInsider.com's questions. Here's my take on them:
1. That could apply to any wrestling promotion, but yes. I don't think you can really prove an argument "true" since it's an opinion but you can support it with good evidence. And hey, maybe they end up proving ME wrong, but until that time it's annoying to see things being so illogical (at least as I see them) in places. I play "Devil's advocate" a lot in these questions, but that doesn't mean I don't get frustrated at some things the company(ies) does (do).

2. The same reason anyone can look at anything and see what they want: spin! They see themselves as slowing the decline for PPV buys and stabilizing ratings while building new stars. Others see them as killing the business with the same data. I'm somewhere in the middle.

3. The Miz went from being a questionable midcarder to a semi-credible main eventer due to that title reign. He's more over than he was before cashing in MITB. I don't consider that a failure. Did he look particularly strong as champion? No. But after years in the midcard it wouldn't be believable for him to suddenly cleanly beat one of the most (if not the single most) pushed guys in the past decade. Bottom line, even with him looking like a chump lately he's still more believable than he was when he was tapping out to Daniel Bryan. Del Rio does have an impressive and credible finisher he's pulled out so he's not a weakling. Del Rio can't be Superman but he can be Lex Luthor: cunning, calculating, and avoiding getting defeated despite the odds against him. The catch is "Cena would have won if not for __________" so they have to have a rematch and so on. Classic hook.

After the break, I go into the rest of the day's questions and news. Next up, differences in the pace of a referee's counts.

NXT thoughts- 11/9/11

Today on WWE NXT, the competition continues. Derrick Bateman, Titus O'Neil, (and Darren Young?) face off to become WWE's next breakout star. One of these two (three?) men will eventually win this and move on to bigger and better things. In the meantime, the other guests of the show show us what they can do. The main event is JTG vs. Jimmy Uso. Jimmy will be accompanied by his brother Jey, and JTG will be joined by the Usos' cousin Tamina. It's a family reunion ahead of the future wedding. Read on for my thoughts on the show as it happens.

Chyna looks for a WWE comeback, rapper talks Flair and Dusty, Questions on Bischoff, WWE's "Union", and why WWE isn't what some of us want it to be, Raw retapes, Lesnar talks WWE '12 and more, WWE on Google+, Shane Douglas talks TNA, Flair and more, Hardy conference call, Nash before Raw, Punk interview, Styles update, Smackdown dark match, Owen match not on KOTR DVD, rib on Regal, TNA-OVW update, Raw rating, Angle court update, Foley addresses a UK crowd, Cena goes after Rock, and Nash returns to the ring

Chyna wrote a legal letter to Vince McMahon seeking to return to WWE. I think that there are two chances of that happening: slim and none. Given her not-so-distant past, WWE should stay away.

The rapper who recently used some of Ric Flair's lines in one of his songs talked about growing up watching the Horsemen and Dusty Rhodes. A good deal of profanity in the piece.

Next up: Into the lion den of PWInsider.com's questions.
1. And this is why they don't take internet fans seriously. Fans were complaining that TNA had buried Roode and such, and now Roode's the World Champion feuding with James Storm. The story has a good deal of heat to it. If anything, all that build as a babyface makes his heel turn better because he couldn't get it done when playing by the rules. Note that this doesn't mean I'm 100% behind the decision.

2. I wished it would have happened! They had a good deal of potential there, but for whatever reason didn't run with it. I would have loved a company-wide storyline pitting those who agree with them (and wanted Laurinaitis in charge) against those who would begrudgingly accept Triple H's leadership (after possibly being convinced by Cena/Sheamus/Punk, etc..)

After the break I go into the rest of the day's questions and news. Next up, who are the people in the front row at the Impact Wrestling Zone?

Tuesday, November 8, 2011

TNA website hacked, Questions on Muppets, Cena/Rock, Laurinaitis, and HHH/Nash, Jericho interview, Mania gross, Khali in film, big TNA sale, Punk taunts fan, Roode interview, Windham update, new Survivor Series match, Brisco update, Smackdown rating, TNA to work with OVW, what happened after Raw, Raw dark match, and updates on JR and Waltman,

TNA's website, ImpactWrestling.com was hacked on 11/6. It redirected to ShopTNA.com for a time while they were working on it, and it is now back to normal.

Up next, it's "bash WWE" time at PWInsider.com. Normally this is where they have questions but instead today's headline is sensationalist drivel. They might as well just call this section "complaints and our agreement with them" now.

Anyway, I'll address the queries regardless:
1. The Muppets deal was something Disney pushed for after they saw the cross-promotion that Real Steel got when Hugh Jackman appeared on Raw. It got WWE and the Muppets movie a good deal of press. That's why we got it. In that sense, it was good for business. A lot of people there enjoyed working with the Muppets as well. That show also had The Rock answering John Cena's challenge to join him at Survivor Series, and C.M. Punk getting his title match with Alberto Del Rio, but that doesn't fit in with the anti-Vince agenda so it wasn't mentioned.

After the break, I go into the rest of the day's questions and news, starting with why people would pay to see Cena/Rock vs. Miz/Truth.

Raw thoughts- 11/7/11

Tonight, on the IWC's new least-favorite show, Monday Night Raw is in Liverpool! Will it be a hard day's night when Michael Cole challenges Jim Ross? What does Oz Diesel Vinnie Vegas Kevin Nash have in store as a new member of the Raw roster? Anything can happen in the WWE! Read on for my thoughts on the show as it happens.

Questions on jaded fandom, Eric Young, Chris Benoit, heel/face turns, and wrestling relating to real life, Gargano interview and more from Warrior on TMZ

There isn't too much news to get into for Sunday, but it begins with PWInsider.com's questions. And wouldn't you know it, they bash WWE again. The first question is indeed kind of sad, but not for the reason put out by the asker. I could be reading this wrong, but it certainly sounds like they're just Tivoing WWE, reading the recaps on the net, then not watching. So, they're just relying on the recap and not giving the show a chance on its own merits? That's rather weak in my book. A lot of times things aren't as cut-and-dry as they're made out to be. Things can sound bad from what's written that are actually entertaining. But, you have to actually watch to see whether the recaps are accurate. If they're watching the shows and not enjoying them, that's one thing. But if they're just going off of others' information to determine their enjoyment of the shows, that's disconcerting. Missing out on Punk, Del Rio, Awesome Truth, Sheamus, Christian, Mark Henry, and Zack Ryder among others because of the occasional JR-Cole or Muppets segment isn't worth it in my eyes.

2. He's not a former WWE/WCW guy for one. Seriously though, they just like him more as the goof character (and have for years, predating Hogan and Bischoff). World Elite and The Band didn't work out too well for him, so it looks he's stuck in this role for a while. Heck, it's working for him.

After the break, I look at the rest of the day's questions and news, starting with why WWE looks down on Chris Benoit.

Z! TLIS #38, Rock/Cena Piper's Pit?, Storm talks injury, Rourke talks wrestlers, Mania party coverage with Legends, Superstars and Divas, Divas on The Insider, Foley interview, Questions on Rock's return, Jarretts vs. Kazarians, the 6-sided ring, a non-controversial WWE, and ECW reunions, Maxim interviews Kelly, DH Smith interview, Styles injured, and Angle's health

Zack Ryder has posted the latest episode of his YouTube show. Not as crazy about this week's.

"Rowdy" Roddy Piper wants to do Piper's Pit with The Rock and John Cena, and who could blame him? That'd be pretty big.

Former TNA World Champion James Storm (that didn't take long to happen) has tweeted about working injured. He's been working limited  matches at house show, perhaps dangerously.

Mickey Rourke brought up some wrestling names he keeps in touch with in a recent interview.

Sgt. Slaughter and Jimmy Hart were interviewed at the WrestleMania 28 kick-off party, and the Miami Herald had coverage on the wait for Rey Mysterio's autograph.

Triple H was also interviewed to promote the show.

Here's another interview with Sgt. Slaughter and Kelly Kelly. I assumed the latter's name was because of the TV show, but given how poorly that did and the odds of anyone knowing about it other than those who Googled the wrestler, it could easily be a coincidence.

After the break, I go into the rest of the day's news, including PWInsider.com's questions.

Saturday, November 5, 2011

Variety looks at WWE Studios, more stars at Mania kickoff, Morrison losing streak, Maryse talks release, Turning Point music video, new WWE job openings, Bryan interview, Questions on the 2012 HoF class, walkout, and wrestlers' political opinions, WWE going to Italy, Impact Wrestling post-show, Turning Point Before the Bell, Miz talks Brock and WWE, Dixie answers questions, HHH and former Creative team member interviews, Roode/Storm after Impact Wrestling, college football vs. WWE, Tulsa looks forward to Smackdown, Ryder interview, Mysterio update, Impact Wrestling ratings, more WWE fun on The Soup, Bourne talks WWE-Twitter, and a new WWE trademark

Variety looked at WWE's Q3 numbers, specifically focusing on the sizable drop from the films division. Things look like they're going to get worse before they get better in that part of the company.

The official list of stars for the WrestleMania kick-off party includes the previously named Rey Mysterio, Jimmy Hart, Sgt. Slaughter, joined by Kelly Kelly, The Bella Twins, and Rosa Mendes.

WWE.com talked to John Morrison about his losing streak. I wish they were talking to him about a winning streak, but I think some things unrelated to his ring work have prevented that one from coming to pass.

Maryse briefly commented on her release at her release party. I can't really make out what she said other than it was Vince's "loss". We'll see about that one.

TNA has a music video for Turning Point featuring Jeff Hardy.

WWE is looking for an income tax manager and Wellness Program coordinator.

Daniel Bryan was interviewed at Ringside Fest.

After the break, I go into PWInsider.com's questions, starting with a look at potential 2012 WWE Hall of Famers.

Smackdown thoughts- 11/4/11

Tonight, WWE Smackdown continues on the path to Survivor Series. How will Randy Orton, Mark Henry, Big Show, Christian, Sheamus, and the rest of the blue brand prepare for the annual Fall Classic? Read on for my thoughts on the show as it happens.

Video of Foley's return, NBA player to WWE?, Questions on titles/jaded fans, Goldberg vs. Austin, breaking kayfabe to kids, and recreating Steamboat/Savage, next WWE show poll, WWE going to Spain in 2012, Dreamer interview, Mania kickoff party, JR update, piece on Moolah, Punk and Roode interviews, Ryder petitioning for title shot, FCW Diva to main roster soon? Dixie talks Impact Wrestling, and an appearance by Beer Money

Here's video of Mick Foley's return to WWE.

Update: Foley teased more appearances.

A player for the Utah Jazz mentioned possibly getting into WWE after his basketball career. Yeah, it's not that simple. More power to him if it works, though.

As for my look at PWInsider.com's questions:
1. While I think some of it might be the quick title reigns, I wholeheartedly agree that a lot of the displeasure with the current product is because of the jaded older fans who are becoming increasingly hard to please. WWE and TNA should be going for the fans who are giving the show a chance like those mentioned there. The Attiude Era didn't just work because they pleased the '80s fans in new ways (or used a lot of nostalgia and gimmicks from those days). It connected with those who grew up in that era on a cultural level. WWE's got some good characters and storylines going on now, but the grumpy internet critics are so burned out that they won't or can't get behind it.

2. Slim to none. That's one of those "dating Megan Fox" scenarios. I mean, it COULD happen but the odds aren't in favor of it. And I honestly don't think it'd live up to expectations.

After the break, I go into the rest of the day's news and questions, starting with when to tell kids when wrestling is predetermined.

WWE Q3 2011 results

Superstars and Impact Wrestling thoughts- 11/3/11

Today on WWE Superstars, John Morrison faces off with Drew McIntyre in a battle of (barely utilized) former Intercontinental Champions. Then on Impact Wrestling, Ronnie from "Jersey Shore" is in attendance as a guest of the TV Champion Eric Young. Also, Jeff Jarrett teams with Bully Ray against Jeff Hardy and Mr. Anderson. Oh, and of course, James Storm is defending his TNA World Title against Beer Money teammate Bobby Roode in a huge showdown. Read on for my thoughts on the shows as they happen.

Questions on JR, bullying in WWE, and Punk's character change, Divas rivalry heats up, injured star returning, new WWE merch, Kelly on cover of Maxim, Bull Buchanan and RVD interviews, former XFL designer talks, Foley returns to WWE, and Orton gets staples after Smackdown

Wednesday's news started with the questions sent to PWinsider.com. Here's my take:
1. What they said. And he's a pretty tough nut to crack. I mean, after he's been through all that, what else can they possibly do to him?

2. I'm ok with heels doing it provided it's portrayed as a negative thing to do. Jerry Lawler and others going after Vickie Guerrero on the other hand is reprehensible. Especially given the shape she's gotten herself into now. I don't really "get" how that's ok by them either and agree that it sends the wrong message.

3. He's still somewhat of an anti-establishment character, as evidenced by his continued disrespect towards Laurinaitis. But part of his character was that he wanted to be featured more and get more mic time. He's gotten/is getting that. He's doing promotional appearances. He's on PPV posters. He's pushing change behind the scenes. And he's not getting to the top by sucking up to those in charge. So, to me, he's getting what he wants now and doesn't need to complain as much after being signed to that sweet contract that brought him back to the company.

There's not much to add to 4 and 5, so after the break I go into the rest of the day's news.

NXT thoughts- 11/2/11

Love is in the air on NXT. Last week, NXT rookie Derrick Bateman proposed to former NXT rookie Maxine. And she said yes! There's also a competition going on. Bateman's opponent and chief rival Titus O'Neil is also looking to become a breakout star. Joining them will be others on the WWE (and FCW) roster all looking to cut their teeth in the "new WWE". Read on for my thoughts on the show as it happens.

Why Ross vs. Cole was cut, wrestling items on Netflix, Windham and Rougeau updates, Questions on a full DX reunion, Hall on E:60, WWE's commentary, and A-Ry, Warrior talks Occupy Wall Street, former Diva visits, Khali interview/update, Sheamus promotes Smackdown, Bourne suspended, TLC poster, Storm update, Final Resolution poster, WrestleMania sweepstakes, JR and Foley updates, another 3-hour Raw made, Cena talks Series,, and the Raw rating

The Michael Cole/Jim Ross match was cut because too much other stuff had been written for the show. I certainly didn't miss it!

Here's a list of wrestling-related titles on Netflix. What did people do before that existed?

Barry Windham is also suffering from liver issues. Very sorry to hear that.

Jacques Rougeau has clarified the article published earlier. He hasn't been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, but has been told that it's a possibility pending future test results. I wish him the best either way.

PWInsider.com has some new questions for the new month:
1. Honestly, I'm not so sure. Outside of maybe some special appearances, I wouldn't count on seeing it. ESPECIALLY with Chyna. Other than that though, it's possible the stars will align there at some point.

2. I don't think they needed to. The piece wasn't on wrestling in general, just one man's sad decline. Or at least that's how I saw it. And it really isn't "news" that most people turn out fine.

After the break, I go into the rest of the day's questions and news, including some on WWE's commentary picture.

Tuesday, November 1, 2011

Punk-Jericho, Questions on Maryse-Miz, Knockouts vs. Divas booking, Undertaker, and HHH in power, Variety looks at Muppets on Raw, update on WWE Network and YouTube, Bearer interview, more Rock-Cena on Twitter, Final Resolution and Garett Bischoff updates, names absent from WWE '12, Kelly in Maxim, predictions on WWE stock, a look at some WWE action figures, Finlay and Ronnie from Jersey Shore interviews, Sheamus to present, new grudges DVD in the works, Scottish wrestlers to get tryouts, Bryan looking for beards, James Storm health update, next WWE Network show poll, Smackdown rating, Edge and Miz interviews, press release on Chyna YouShoot, JR update, and what happened after Raw

C.M. Punk took a shot at Chris Jericho at Ringside Fest. I guess the pipe bomb thing works outside of arenas.

Update: Jericho fired back. He kind of makes a point. Apparently we might see a program between them when Jericho returns down the line. That would be fantastic. Both men are solid in all aspects of their performances. I wish we had more like them.

On to a look at PWInsider.com's questions:
1. He was with her at her "release party" so hopefully he's taking it as well as she is? I know that Charlie Hasas worked with WWE while his wife Jackie Gayda was in TNA, so it's not insurmountable. This seems like they just didn't have anything for her rather than anything to do with him.

2. Hmm, I wouldn't say that they blow WWE away on it, but they do use more women in important roles. I'd say that WWE's mostly doing well with the DoD/SoS angle and we usually get a good Divas match on NXT and/or Superstars, but they're not big parts of Raw and Smackdown (like the Knockouts are on Impact Wrestling).

3. At home in Texas as far as I know. I also think that we'll see him again, but there's been so little in the way of news on him that there's really not much telling when that will be. Mania seems like the obvious choice, though. Would that theoretically be his last match? Time will tell.

There's not much to say that would add to 4, so after the break I once more explain the WWE COO angle and the rest of the day's news.
