Post-Raw note, ROH attendance note, sad Briscoes note, (another) TNA-DA update, new BFG match, BFG conference call, Interview with Paige, Raw audience, WWE vs. ProWrestlingTees, Raw cameo, and Questions on Rollins' character, protecting wrestlers, PPV bonuses, beating Bo, and telegraphic Kane's appearances

There was no dark match after Raw this week, which is a little surprising. They almost always do something special for the live audience.

ROH had about 500 fans in PA this weekend, and close to 1000 in NY. Good for them!

The Briscoes were unable to attend one of ROH's shows this weekend due to a death in the family. That's very unfortunate, as they really do what they do well.

TNA has been confirmed as airing past the initial 39 episode run DA signed up for (that would take them to the episode after BFG). It is expected they will remain on the channel through the end of January. At the least, they will continue on through the end of 2015. So, the company has been given a stay of execution for now. They still have a lot of work cut out for them.

As for ROH on DA, there has been no update on a relationship between the two sides past the end of the year. In fact, the deal might only go through the end of November.

Next two Summerslams set, TE competitor update, DX member hurt, Interviews with Nikki/Backlund, Wellness suspension, WWE security update, WWE guests, and Questions on Cena beating Rollins, replacing Vince, a new brand extenstion, WWE using older wrestlers, and the Real Americans in ROH

WWE has announced that Summerslam in both 2016 and 2017 will be in Brooklyn, NY. They'll continue the theme from this year with an NXT show the night before Summerslam and Raw the night after all coming from the same building. That's really big news!

Update: here's WWE's official announcement.

Tough Enough's Tanner has decided to focus on MMA full-time, but has not ruled out returning to wrestling down the line. How many people from Tough Enough's however many seasons actually came back to the ring after losing?

Scott Waltman was hospitalized after tearing several muscles. I hope he pulls through.

NXT+ROH live event notes, Fast Lane location confirmed, and Questions on Sting as an all-time great, superstars vs. wrestlers, deleting Hogan from existence, Ryback as Warrior, and Brock retiring Show

Here's a report from an NXT show this weekend (including a Dusty Classic match result). I forget Norman Smiley's still there sometimes.

Here's a report from an ROH live event featuring Jay Lethal vs. Stevie Richards. I somehow forgot to mention that match in the previous coverage of the event. That should have headlined the show. I wouldn't mind Stevie mixing it up with more ROH names since he knows how to work and can still go.

The 2/21/16 Fast Lane PPV will be in Cleveland. I wonder what that show will feature.

ROH+WWE live event notes, Goldust update, Lana note, and Questions on another Muppets-WWE crossover, fans jumping the rail, Paige's heat, Regal's one man shows, and ROH-Hammerstein

Taeler Hendrix defeated Mandy Leon at an ROH live event this weekend as the company expands its efforts at a women's division. A new female performer debuted after the match. Having a women's division would definitely add some variety.

ROH's live event also featured Shaheem Ali in a loss to Brutal Bob. I'm guessing this was a potential tryout if the company liked his work.

Goldust and Cody Rhodes will be on hand at Takeover:Respect to congratulate the winners of the Dusty Classic. I think they could easily have Goldust as another veteran working with the NXT regulars; he'd be perfect for it.

Superstars Reax - 9/15/15, more TNA vs. GFW, more NXT press, Hernandez update, ROH name missing shows, Smackdown audience, Austin shoots down WM32 rumor, and Questions on gold Twitter profiles, Cena's 15x shirt, Pope wrestling for TNA, and the Diva Search

Superstars:
- Truth vs. Slater:
I miss the Heath Slater from the U.S. Title challenge and the legends angle. He's so funny.

Not a bad match to fill some time.

Adam Rose is ridiculously stale. I think he's a fine performer, but he's going absolutely nowhere.

- Rose vs. Swagger:
Good stuff so far. Swagger's a skilled performer.

Nice stuff with Swagger going for his kill move with Rose avoiding it.

Interview with Muraco, JAPW promoter passes, TNA live event now a PPV, TNA and ROH audience, and Questions on Taker's opponent at WM32, Hardys-WWE, King-ROH, two hours of NXT, and roster cuts

Don Muraco talked about working with Vince, Sr., and more:

- Man, those sound like some fun days.

- It's kind of funny we're dealing with the same thing with wrestlers being called awful despite them being over with the crowd.

NJ independent promoter Frank Iadevia has passed away. The business lost an important person.

Read on for my thoughts on last night's Impact Wrestling.

Interviews with Miz/Cameron/Sting/Okada, stipulation added to MSG match, loaded Raw next month, Total Divas audience, Takeover match set, and Questions on Corino-WWE, Paige losing, Sting earning the title shot, HHH vs. the indies, and pushing the Network

The Miz talked about his rise from reality TV. I would have never seen him headlining Mania after his first couple of years. No one expected him to last long.

Seth Rollins vs. John Cena in MSG will be inside a steel cage. I'm still more excited for Brock destroying Big Show.

WWE has booked Ric Flair, Shawn Michaels, Stone Cold, Undertaker, and Brock Lesnar for the Oct. 19 Raw in Dallas (since that's where WM32 will be). I wonder what Taker and Lesnar will be doing at the big event in April.

Post-Raw note, Sting update, WWE-MSG lineup, WWE signing updates, Interviews with Albert/Arnold/Bryan, Former ECW Champion retiring, more on NOC jumper, Raw audience, and Questions on pushing Strowman, the Dudleys, Heyman in TNA, WWE in syndication, and Nikki's title reign

There was no dark match at the Raw taping, which makes sense given what Kane did to the ring at the end of the show. How are they going to explain Rollins' future appearances? Did Kane let him escape from the flames? Is he still down there!?

Update: Rollins made it out in a video posted after Raw.

Sting was not at Raw. He flew home following NOC. I hope he's OK. That was a scary situation.

WWE's show in MSG will feature Brock Lesnar vs. Big Show, Seth Rollins vs. John Cena, New Day vs. Dudley Boyz, Kevin Owens vs. Chris Jericho, and Rusev vs. Dolph Ziggler. So some of those matches will feel even less fresh after the event. That's the problem with having to do so much content for the Network.

What happened after NOC, Nitro Week for WWE, more NOC guests, Snuka update, ROH expands TV presence internationally, Sting update, WWE security to be strengthened, WWE performer branching out, ROH to another cable channel?, more LU set, Bram update, and Questions on the Vaudevillains, calling people up, the Cosmic Wasteland, Bayley, and Cena putting others over,

Here's a live report from Night of Champions. Sheamus tried to cash in, but was stopped by Kane. So he decided to bide his time instead. That DID make sense. What is with some people? Anyway, I hope WWE fixes the problem of people jumping the rail.

WWE Network is doing Nitro Week to celebrate the 20th anniversary of that show launching. Quite the milestone.

Update: WWE has added 100 new hours of Nitro episodes to the Network as the massive digitization project of their libraries continues.

Hip hop name Wale and former nWo member Scott Norton were also backstage at Night of Champions. There were quite a few guests that night.

TNA+WWE live event notes, TNA exec comments, WWE injury updates, big main event for HIAC, NOC guests, more on fan jumping rail at NOC, and Questions on repackaging Sandaxel, a new nWo/Horseman group, Sting beating Rollins, The Shield's partner, and TNA plugging other DA shows

Jeremy Borash was not at one of TNA's shows this week for reasons unknown. I assume he's still with the company and just got a night off. He's been with TNA since literally the first show.

Natalya beat Alicia Fox on a WWE live event in Texas, so it looks like she's back on the road for now. Maybe they can pair her with Cesaro since he's supposedly lacking in personality?

Bob Ryder gave some updates on the state of TNA. Those live event numbers aren't bad. I hope they do well in that area as their tours continue.

TNA and WWE live event notes, another ECW name at WWE HQ, Interviews with Owens/Balor+Bayley, WWE Network cards update, NXT press, Busick update, and Questions on WWE's next statue, WWE splitting into territories, nostalgia DVDs, and the WWWF

Chase Owens and Jason Kincaid lost to the team of DJ Z and Tyrus at a TNA live event this weekend. Whether those two names were just in for the night or if this was some kind of tryout remains to be seen. The attendance was estimated at about 400. TNA's still chugging along.

ECW's Joel Gertner was interviewed at WWE HQ. I'm glad they're reaching out to unaffiliated names for material instead of it just being people who already work for WWE in some form.

Kevin Owens talked about working with Cena and more. I also think he'll be remembered for taking the fight to Cena instead of whether he won or lost.

Everything else from yesterday is after the break.

Superstars Reax - 9/18/15, TNA name leaves for ROH, ECW DVDs in the works, new Network series, Divas Revolution not in 2K16, Interview with Owens, interesting names on Table for 3, another WWE animated film, Smackdown audience, Impact dropped internationally, TNA-DA update, TNA tapings speculation, and Questions on the WWE-WWNLive deal, LU Season 2, WWE's next statue, Kurrgan, and Torito's future

Superstars:
So-so promo by Rose. At least it played off what Ryder does.

- Rose vs. Ryder:
Ryder's a pretty good wrestler for the undercard.

Rose isn't bad himself.

Not bad at all.

- Swagger vs. Dallas:
I BOLIEVE, Bo!!!

Good match overall. Yes, Bo beat a former World Champion. Swagger has definitely fallen since those days. I'd love to see him work with the likes of Gable and Jordan in NXT. Not as a demotion, but to give them pointers.

TE name official for WWE, HoFer on WWE's Mexican tour, Rowan update, more WWE Network content, NXT ticket sale notes, TNA and ROH audiences, first match set for BFG, TNA live event note, and Questions on Dixie buying Jarrett's shares, Hogan in the press, Bam Bam/Vader in the Hall, the New Heavenly Bodies, Ambrose/Reigns' partner, and Sting vs. Show

Tough Enough's ZZ has officially been signed to WWE. So the finale of TE was pretty pointless given that the runners up are still a part of things.

Ric Flair is set for WWE's tour of Mexico. That should be fun.

Erick Rowan is expected to head to the WWEPC soon to work off ring rust ahead of a return to the ring, which would seem to indicate he won't be working Night of Champions.

Interviews with Cena/Sting/Dixie+Jarrett+Matt Hardy+EC3, Disco as booker, Jarrett out as minority owner, gimmick matches on TNA shows, TNA-DA status confirmed, and Questions on Angle-WWE, selling, rebranding the Divas, Vince pushing POC, and giving Nikki an asterisk

John Cena talked to Larry King. He's been a big star for years now. I'd say after he beat HHH and HBK at Mania, he was solidified as a real top guy.

Sting talked about the decision to come to WWE. I'm glad the legend is in the fold, although I think people are going to say WWE blew his run if he doesn't face Taker.

Here's a second Sting interview. Of course he shouldn't be the centerpiece of WWE in 2015.

Disco Inferno did a Guest Booker DVD. I would watch the hell out of some of that. Bring this man to ROH.

Nikki on breaking the record, what happened after Raw, Interview with Hogan, another TE name to WWE?, Athena-WWE update, WWE back with Jakks, TNA live event change, next Takeover title, Raw audience, new WWE trademark, and Questions on TNA's future re: GFW, Gail-WWE, using legends, Rollins' next challenger, Cesaro's future, and Cena/Bryan on Total Divas

Nikki Bella celebrated her long title reign on Instagram. She should have also thanked Johnny Ace for signing them despite having no wrestling experience, E! for making "Total Divas"  a thing so they were able to have a second big run in the company, and AJ Lee for earning the company's ire so they got petty and had Nikki break her record.

After Raw, Sting and John Cena celebrated with a young cancer survivor at ringside. Will they be celebrating on Sunday?

Hulk Hogan talked to Sports Illustrated. Hopefully the worst of his lumps are over now.

Autobiography updates, TNA/ROH events on Flipps, Kidd update, more on new WWE signees, ROH attendance, Compton update, ROH injury, GFW signs distribution deal, new TNA HoFer, NXT name back from injury, former WCW name getting surgery, matches added to NoC, and Questions on Rollins' title matches, pushing Bray, Superstars, and HHH vs. Rollins

Jim Ross is shopping an autobiography, and Justin Roberts is expected to work on one as well. Both would be really interesting.

ROH will be showing ASE VIII on the Flipps app, and TNA will show Bound For Glory in addition to One Night Only PPVs and a special on TNA Legends (Savage, Piper, Sting, and Snuka). With their TV future in jeopardy, I can see why TNA is expanding in this way.

A preview for an upcoming episode of "Total Divas" teases Tyson Kidd's career is over. I REALLY, REALLY hope not. He was a great undercard wrestler who made the most of what he was given.

Some of the new WWE signees will start in the Performance Center on 9/29. People are excited to see them!

More on Divas bar incident, ROH+WWE+NXT live event notes, Rey on leaving WWE, WWE live event guests, Interview with Bayley, and Questions on Vince vs. WCW, Rosita-WWE, Cena as a draw, and Sting's WWE run

Paige discussed the recent bar incident involving herself and Alicia Fox. It's very depressing that some people can't control themselves and give in to the power of their substances. At least we know it wasn't a work for "Total Divas," although I think I'd prefer that because I could blame sleazy reality show producers.

NJPW stars will be on ROH shows in May 2016.

ROH's most recent live event featured Beer City Bruiser and Samson Walker, as well as some local talent. ZZZZZZZ

ROH/WWE live event notes, more on Lana, and Questions on Wyatt challenging for the title, Bam Bam in 2K16, and putting over HHH

Samson Walker and Watanabe competed on the latest ROH live event. I don't dislike Watanabe.

Chris Jericho defeated Kevin Owens in Canada during this weekend's live events. I picture that being quite the matchup.

Lana is expected to make a full recovery following surgery on her fractured wrist. That's good news!

Superstars Reax - 9/11/15, TNA and ROH audience, WWE tapings guest, TNA-DA update, Orton note, new NXT coach, Smackdown audience, press for Bret Hart/Cesaro, indie names officially signed to WWE, more on NXT pay situation, Compton update, and Questions on fan interference in the show, Amell's wrestling, Erick Rowan, Khali, and Orton's future

Superstars:
- Bo vs. Neville:
Bo plays his role well, making up for not being as amazing in the ring as someone like Neville.

Well, that was quick. So much for Bo getting a push. I honestly think he's fine as an undercard comedy guy for now. Speaking of those, we need more Heath Slater on WWE screens.

Not a bad promo for The Cosmic Wasteland. I think Stardust adds something to their act.

- Swagger vs. Stardust:
Good stuff so far. I like Cody being able to show more of his personality as Stardust.

I like that Stardust has some screws loose. It's more fun than "great wrestler with no personality" vs. "great wrestler with no personality."

Fine match overall.

NXT Diva's job saved, Athena addresses NXT rumors, another NXT tryout, Lana update, Interview with Bryan, big Taker note, NXT pay note, big anniversary for important WWE employee, 2016 HoFers set?, Angle's in-ring return confirmed, Takeover main event confirmed, Kana-NXT update, and Questions on Rollins's titles, Taker's WM32 opponent, and the Divas revolution

A recent NXT signing will not be losing her job over racist tweets made in 2011, due to them not being posted by her. Thank goodness. Enough careers have been ruined by such foolishness.

Indie wrestler Athena discussed potentially going to WWE/NXT. That would really make some fans happy.

An Australian rugby player will be trying out for WWE soon. I'm really impressed by all the work HHH has done on that end of things.

More on Angle leaving TNA, WWE press, more from Dusty Classic, TE winners to WWEPC, Total Divas change, Raw audience, new NXT signing, and Questions on MSG's importance, Brock retiring Show, Vince being out of touch, and booking the Divas

More from Kurt Angle's recent interview:
- Angle not re-signing with TNA doesn't mean he's going to WWE. He didn't deny the possibility of one last match there, but he's definitely taking time off in 2016.

- There's speculation of him moving full-time into acting. Really, anything that keeps him occupied without taking crazy bumps is a plus.

Overall, Angle was upbeat about his time in TNA and working with Dixie Carter. He wishes them the best for their future, and will do the best he can for them while he's still employed.

Neville promoted WWE returning to Saudi Arabia. I'm guessing the Divas and Darren Young won't be touring there. That's a real shame.

Stone Cold podcast:
Asheville is similar to Seattle and Portland (or so I'm told).

I wish Edge had passed the torch more when he was a wrestler, but his injury ended that.

Kurt Angle with the ukelele was one of my all-time favorite wrestling skits.

The Attitude Era was pretty fun. I think the kind of humor that's not forced is missing in some performers in 2015. On that note, I miss Santino and 3MB.

Tag team basics are REALLY lost on a lot of teams, especially outside WWE.

Harper is definitely awesome.

Wilder and Dawson are really growing on me, too.

They were totally both wrestlers AND sports entertainers. Same for Austin.

Having psychology is even important in a car crash match if it's going to stand the test of time. How many X-Division gimmick matches stand out?

Sometimes there need to be matches people aren't talking about as much to build things for other parts of the show and to get the talent involved to a new level.

It was great to have a veteran like Gangrel help them out. That's missing to a degree now.

Absolutely Christian should be in the Hall of Fame.

Michael Hayes and the Freebirds are glaring omissions in the HoF. I hope that's remedied in 2016.

Hayes is a smart guy.

Vince would probably hate Asheville haha. I do think part of him would be much happier retired.

The exit strategy is important for any walk of life, especially when fame and big money are involved.

Nice closing thoughts from E&C. Great interview overall.

Interview with Bret Hart, Kane update, more on TE finalist to WWE, Road Dogg vs. Paige, Lana injured, NXT Diva talks release, updated NOC lineup, big international WWE signing, and Questions on the fly on the wall, Ryback vs. Show, stripping Bryan of the title, Summerslam '16, and Cole interviewing HHH

Bret Hart talked about Owen, The Kliq, and more:
- Bret almost always comes across as bitter and still holding grudges.

- That's a pretty low blow to Scott Hall given his recovery process.

- I guess a so-so Owen DVD is better than no DVD?

WWE has pushed back the timeline for Kane returning. Apparently he was scheduled for this week's TV. They made the right call. Saving him to challenge Rollins at Hell in a Cell (and Survivor Series?) to knock him down a peg after more arrogance following NOC makes a good story.

Former X-Division Champion works GFW show, Cena update, and Questions on Steph selling stock, Ambrose/Reigns' partner, Eva Marie in NXT, Nikki losing the title, and TNA vs. GFW

Former TNA name Matt Bentley (Michael Shane) worked a match for GFW in his hometown of Clinton, Iowa. He was kind of like a prototype for the Young Bucks. I expect this was just a one-time thing, although it was a pretty neat cameo.

John Cena was back in action at another live event last night, defeating Kevin Owens in a street fight. It looks like he shook off being banged up the night before. He's one insanely tough guy.

NXT/WWE live event notes, top WWE name receives medical attention, NoC match official, DGUSA name to WWE?, another platform for WWE Network, Interview with Owens, and Questions on Nikki's title reign, pushing the Divas, Owen in the HoF, title vs. title feuds, and Jarrett-WWE

Here are results from a recent NXT live event. I'm interested to see how Nia Jax does once she's on the show itself.

John Cena was checked on by medical authorities during his recent live event match with Kevin Owens. He finished the match, but seemed to be hurting. Obviously WWE wants him healthy for Night of Champions, and he remains a top player in the promotion.

Update: Cena was hurt as the result of a botched Code Red/Canadian Destroyer. I applaud him for adding impressive moves to his arsenal, but some (like this) are unnecessarily dangerous.

Update: Cena was said to be OK after the match, and isn't expected to miss any ring time. Hopefully he'll be more careful now.

GFW live event note, NXT DVD in the works, big Nitro anniversary, new WWE stable official, Smackdown audience, and Questions on Paul Roma in the HoF, Rollins going the distance, PPV cities, HHH's interviews, and Rowan's future

"Hacksaw" Jim Duggan was part of the most recent GFW live event, with a promo leading to him clotheslining Daivari out of the ring. I miss WWE Daivari. Sheik Abdul Bashir, not so much.

A Best of NXT DVD is confirmed to be in the pipeline. That's great! I can see that becoming a series.

Eric Bischoff tweeted about the 20th anniversary of Lex Luger appearing on Nitro to spark the Monday Night War. I know people always wonder what would happen if he had a lot of money and control of a wrestling company again. I think what happened in the '90s was a lot of being in the right place at the right time with the right resources, as in the Outliers theory. Not to discount what Bischoff did, though. He had some balls.

Sgt. Slaughter talked about a number of career topics. I wish I would have grown up in the era when Mid-Atlantic was hot. Greensboro's not too far from where I grew up.

Bret Hart did a Q&A. Nothing too shocking.

The wrongful death lawsuit stemming from the demise of Matt "Doink" Osbourne has been moved to Connecticut. Not surprising. That's usually what happens when WWE is sued.

Brock Lesnar vs. Big Show has been officially added to WWE's Network special from MSG. I was really hoping for Lesnar vs. Bo (Bo could hype it up for a few weeks beforehand), but it will be more impressive to see Lesnar dominate BEEG.

Raw's audience Monday was 3.89 million. That's pretty impressive for a weekly three hour show when there's so much other wrestling content available, too.

What happened after Raw, more on Professor passing, more on WWEPC shooting, Hogan situation update, Raw guests, WM34 host city speculation, ex-ECW name vs. ROH Champ, more on Bram, Interviews with Hall/Owens/Ziggler, another big ROH match booked, Snuka charged for 1983 homicide, internal changes for TNA, WWE-MSG card change, and Questions on the Divas revolution, Braun Strowman, and more Taker vs. Lesnar

Following Raw, Randy Orton and John Cena defeated Seth Rollins and Sheamus. Orton vs. Sheamus for the briefcase at NOC would make sense after they've traded wins.

"Professor" Elliot Maron was profiled. It's always cool to look back at those days.

WWE personalities have been told not to comment on the shooting near the WWE Performance Center, deferring to the local authorities. I think that's a good move. The suspect is clearly disturbed, and should be whisked out of the limelight as soon as possible. Honestly, a case could be made for him to be institutionalized and treated. It's not like he's going to wake up one day and be a functioning member of society; he needs to be seen medically.

More from Hogan, WWE lawsuit updates, TNA name arrested, NXT-Music City update, NXT release, shooting near WWEPC, and Questions on Sting's title shot, WWE going joshi, NXT the night before Mania, double-booking HoFers, and the Diva branding

Hulk Hogan appeared on GMA to try to deflect the controversy he's in. The man said some hateful things when he was at a dark point in his life. If he comes out and tries to sow some racial harmony (and is sincere with it), I think he should be forgiven.

Update: following the appearance, WWE confirmed the two sides remain separated. It's going to be a good while before the two sides have a chance of being back together.

WWE succeeded in getting the lawsuit against them by the widow of Viscera/Mabel/Big Daddy V combined with the other wrongful death lawsuits currently against them in Connecticut.
