Lawler updates, Goldberg rumorkiller, Interview with Barrett, and Questions on indie guys, Morgan, and WWE Main Event

Jerry Lawler is believed to have undergone cardiac arrest at Raw. It took 15 minutes to revive him then. He's recovering now after an angioplasty. There is (very thankfully) no brain damage.

Despite rumors to the contrary, Goldberg has not signed a WWE Legends contract.

Wade Barrett was interviewed.

For my take on the 9/11 PWInsider.com questions:
Nothing to add to 1.

Everything else from 9/11 is after the break.

Note on Lawler, Questions on the Steiners, Aces and 8s, "ruined" wrestling, new blood, and GMs

Everything about Jerry Lawler's heart attack on Raw was legitimate, WWE confirmed to TMZ. More on him in future posts.

For my take on the 9/10 PWInsider.com questions:
1. I hear their names thrown around at times. It might be a while before WWE puts them in the Hall. Can you trust them with a live mic?

2. TNA's trying to misdirect people a bit by having different people in the roles so online fans don't know who it's going to be. They could be kind of auditioning people in the roles, too. The names I've seen attached  have been good, so things MIGHT turn out well for it.

After the break, I go into everything else from 9/10.

Raw Reax - 9/10/12

Read on for my segment-by-segment thoughts on the 9/10 Raw.

NXT star works live events, Interviews with Reks/Kane,

Roman Reigns, the former Leakee, defeated Heath Slater over the weekend of 9/8 on Smackdown live events.

Here's another post-WWE Tyler Reks interview.

Kane talked in India.

For my take on the 9/9 PWInsider.com questions:
1. They pretty much nailed it. He doesn't need to be anywhere close to the title. Ditto for Brock, HHH, and Undertaker. He's already the main event guy, and it'd be better if they used the title to elevate people into becoming bigger stars.

Everything else from 9/9 is after the break!

TNA No Surrender Reax

Saturday Morning Slam Reax - 9/8/12/Z! TLIS #83, Interviews with Bret/Booker, and Questions on Bundy and Divas

Saturday Morning Slam:
I'm really not crazy about this show. It's too kiddy for me. The match was ok, nothing phenomenal.

Here's episode #83 of Z! True Long Island Story.

Bret Hart talked in Montreal.

Booker T. talked about his book.

After the break, I go into the 9/8 PWInsider.com questions.

Interview with Jericho/Miz, NXT identity, Bully re-signs, and a Question on heel turns

Chris Jericho talked about what would need to happen for a TNA return.

Emma, wrestling on WWE NXT, is Lance Storm student Tenille Tayla.

Bully Ray has signed a new 2-year contract with TNA to be a wrestler and a backstage agent. I think he'll be valuable for setting up the future of TNA.

The Miz talked to Digital Spy.

After the break, I go into the 9/7 PWInsider.com questions.

Smackdown Reax - 9/7/12

Read on for my segment-by-segment thoughts on the 9/7 Smackdown.

Another WWE tryout, Interview with Goldberg, Knockout leaves TNA, and QUestions on Aces and Eights, HHH vs. Lesnar, and muting

WWE is holding a tryout in the UK. Cool.

Goldberg talked about the streak and potential WWE opponents. I don't expect him to return to the ring unless there's a huge payday attached. I don't know how much name value he has in 2012.

Winter didn't renew her contract with TNA. I always liked her. The Knockouts division definitely isn't what it used to be.

For my take on the 9/6 PWInsider.com questions:
Nothing to add to 1.

Everything else from 9/6 is after the break.

Superstars and Impact Wrestling Reax - 9/6/12

Leakee has been rechristened Roman Reigns in NXT.

Eve Torres talked to Young Hollywood.

The former Kenny Dykstra talked as well.

So did King Mo.

And Jake "The Snake" Roberts. In two parts!

Ted DiBiase beat Dean Ambrose ahead of the 9/4 Smackdown taping. No definite idea when either man will be on TV.

After the break, I go into the 9/4 PWInsider.com questions.

WWE tryout, Interview with Flair, anger management cameo identified, TNA return, McIntyre update, and Questions on Tyson, Lesnar, WWE/TNA, and PTP

WWE NXT is having a tryout from 9/28-10/1.

Ric Flair talked about his daughter being in WWE NXT and more.

The identity of "Stylez Monroe" in WWE's anger management skits is XPW's GQ Money.

Sonjay Dutt is believed to have signed a new contract with TNA, as he has been regularly working live events.

Drew McIntyre has undergone wrist surgery and will likely miss ring-time. It's not like WWE was taking advantage of him anyway.

After the break, I go into the 9/3 PWInsider.com questions.

Raw Reax - 9/3/12

Read on for my segment-by-segment thoughts on the 9/3 Raw.

Z! TLIS #82, Interviews with Otunga/Miz, and Questions on Cameron, PG, Mid-South, and the brand extension

Here's the 82nd episode of Z! True Long Island Story.

David Otunga talked in Chicago.

The Miz talked in the UK.

For my take on 9/2's PWInsider.com questions:
1. She should be ashamed for both. She should be on some thin ice for her actions. She's supposed to be a role model!

Everything else from 9/2 is after the break.

Saturday Morning Slam Reax - 9/1/12/Interview with Del Rio, USA Guy, Questions on Little Jimmy, Hurricane Isaac, and contracts

From Saturday Night Slam, Clay vs. Hawkins was ok. They're really limited with the ban on some moves. Hawkins' career is pretty much dead in the water.

Alberto Del Rio was interviewed.

Derrick Bateman is pushing a new character "The USA Guy" on YouTube.

For my take on the 9/1 PWInsider.com questions:
1. I lol'd. Well done.

Everything else from 9/1 is after the break.

Interview with Jericho, Devon leaves TNA, and Questions on the Diva who quit after her debut, Team 3D, Impact ratings, WWE-NASCAR, and Cena

Here are highlights from a recent Chris Jericho interview. Very insightful from one of the smartest men in wrestling.

Devon's TNA contract has expired. He was the reigning TV Champion. They really blew it on his whole situation. They might as well drop the TV Title now. This is why you keep an eye on your talents' contracts!

For my take on the 8/31 PWInsider.com questions:
1. I seem to remember there also being an issue about being separated from her boyfriend (husband?) who was also to be wrestling. It was something. I can't think of any other time where someone's quit right after debuting.

2. I'm a little surprised that Ray stayed with Devon leaving, but he was being used better so it makes sense.

Everything else from 8/31 is after the break.

Interviews with Booker/AJ/Ziggler, and Questions on Rey and ECW

Booker T. talked about wrestling one more match, the Hall of Fame, and more.

For my take on the 8/30 PWInsider.com questions:
Nothing to add to 1.

The rest of the questions are answered after the break.

Superstars and Impact Wrestling Reax- 8/30/12

Read on for my segment-by-segment thoughts on the 8/30 Superstars and Impact.

Interviews with Roberts/Punk, King Mo update, Questions on Taker, Brock, Rock, BFG, and title runs

Jake "The Snake" Roberts talked about Stone Cold Steve Austin, drugs, and more. Smart advice about turning heel and face.

C.M. Punk talked Austin, Rock, and more. I'm ready for both of those matches!

King Mo is scheduled to debut in TNA this October. Bound For Glory?

For my take on the 8/29 PWInsider.com questions:
Nothing to add to 1.

The rest of the questions are after the break.

What happened after 8/27 Raw, Foley rumorkiller, Interviews with JBL/Reks, celebrity cameos?, and Questions on Santino, Ziggler, Angle, AW, and Lesnar vs. Tyson

John Cena defeated Big Show after the 8/27 Raw.

There was a rumor going around that there was heat between Triple H and Mick Foley. Not true. Foley is on very good terms with WWE, and some of the credit for that goes to HHH.

JBL talked about his WWE status and more.

The former Tyler Reks talked about his time in WWE.

Floyd Mayweather said that he'll be at WrestleMania. I'm sure WWE would love to have him again.

Terry Crews has talked to WWE about appearing.

My answers to the 8/28 PWInsider.com questions are after the break.

Flair update, Tough Enough returning?, Interviews with Hart/Booker, Raw cameo identified, Questions on WWE's pettiness, Taker/Lesnar, commentary, and PG WWE

Ric Flair's TNA no-compete clause will soon be up if it isn't already. There've been online suggestions for him to manage Ziggler. That'd be kind of cool.

There are ramblings of another season of Tough Enough. That might be a good idea for the WWE Network.

Bret Hart talked about C.M. Punk, Daniel Bryan, and more.

The identity of "Harold" in the anger management skits is Scorpio Sky, who TNA used recently under the name Mason Andrews.

Raw Reax - 8/27/12

Read on for my thoughts on the 8/27 Raw.

new TNA analyst from Howard Stern, NXT star on live events, Naomi wrestles, and Questions on Big Zeke, Roode, Brisco, Lesnar, and McIntyre

Eric the Actor, a.k.a. Eric the Midget (their words, not mine!) is joining TNA as a PPV analyst. I thought TNA was making good decisions now.

Big E Langston worked live events on 8/25-8/26, beating Jack Swagger. They either have high hopes for him or Jack Swagger has seriously fallen from World Champion level.

Naomi replaced Kaitlyn at a Smackdown live event, getting the win over Natalya. She's a trained wrestler (and the early favorite on NXT Season 3), but you wouldn't know it from how she's presented on TV.

After the break, I go into PWInsider.com's questions from 8/26.

Saturday Morning Slam Reax - 8/25/12/Interview with Mysterio, Z! TLIS #81, Barrett returns, Rock vs. Cena injury, Questions on a wrestling movie by WWE, and Knockouts

Kofi vs. Slater from SMS was so-so. If the style of that show is an indication of the future of WWE, I'm worried.

Rey Mysterio was interviewed.

Here's the 81st episode of Z! True Long Island Story. I'd have thought he'd be more of a big deal than he is by 81 episodes, especially given the fan support he got.

Wade Barrett defeated Curt Hawkins on the 8/25 and 8/26 live events. I hope he gets a big push.

The Rock says that he tore his right hamstring at WrestleMania 28.

Everything else from 8/25 is after the break!

Interviews with Brodus/Angelina, why TNA ended the Claire Lynch angle, and a question on Punk vs. Cena

Here's another interview with Brodus Clay.

Angelina Love talked WWE, TNA, and more.

The actress playing Claire Lynch left TNA after receiving quite a bit of flak from online fans, who had found her personal websites and accounts. It's a shame that it had to end that way.

For my take on the 8/24 PWInsider.com questions:
1. Not happening. It would be interesting, though weird for Cena to align with Ace after the whole angle with Show. They'd need a good explanation.

There's nothing really to add to the other questions, as my answers echo theirs. More news later!

Smackdown Reax - 8/24/12

Read on for my segment-by-segment thoughts on the 8/24 Smackdown.

TNA star to teach at OVW, Interviews with Brodus/Booker, and Questions on the Wellness Policy, Beautiful People, homegrown TNA stars, and Creative

TNA's Douglas Williams is now a trainer in OVW. I think that'll work out well.

Brodus Clay did a Q&A with SoulTrain.com.

Booker T. commented on his infamous slip of the tongue.

Curt Hawkins and Eve have officially been moved to the Smackdown roster, while AJ has been moved to the Raw roster.

After the break, my take on the 8/23 PWInsider.com questions.

Superstars and Impact Wrestling Reax- 8/22/12

Beth Phoenix update, DiBiase works dark match, WWE looking for new talents, WWE star quits, Mysterio update, and Questions on Ryback, finishers, AW, and Gut Check

Beth Phoenix is missing time from WWE following the loss of a loved one. Thoughts and prayers are with her. She's next scheduled to compete on 10/1.

Ted DiBiase beat Jack Swagger at the 8/21 Smackdown taping.

WWE is looking to add a Chinese superstar to the roster. If they can become a hit there, it will be a big boon to them financially.

WWE has launched a recruiting website. Good idea!

Tyler Reks has resigned from WWE to spend more time with his family.

More news, including PWInsider.com questions, after the break.

NXT talent becomes WWE referee, Jericho update, story on Brock, rumorkillers, and Questions on the BFG Series, the spinner belt, Aces and Eights, and Brock/HHH

Brad Maddox of NXT (formerly FCW) debuted on the main roster as a referee.

Chris Jericho confirmed that he will return to WWE some day.

Triple H and Rey Mysterio talked about Brock Lesnar's WWE return.

To combat some rumors, "Stone Cold" Steve Austin is not considering a WWE return and Skyler Moon is still a part of NXT.

After the break, my take on the 8/21 PWInsider.com questions!

Questions on Nash, WWF, Punk/Sheamus, Angle, Cena, Heyman, WWE in LA, PPV venues, Hogans, Barrett, Kharma, Summerslam, Angle vs. Shamrock, Vickie, the WWE Network, WWE PG, Lesnar, wrestling books, WM29, and the Invasion

Here's my take on the 8/16 PWInsider.com questions. More after the break!
1. I still say Nash is every bit the puppetmaster he claims to be, since people keep talking about him and putting his name out there.

2. Maybe they're on good terms now. That's certainly interesting at any rate.

Nothing to add to 3 or 5. I hope they come to terms with the champs.

8/17, 8/18, 8/19, and 8/20 are after the break.

Summerslam notes

Damien Sandow vs. Brodus Clay was pulled from Summerslam for timing reasons. Sometimes that happens, unfortunately. There was also time cut from the tag and WWE Title matches.

Lita visited at Summerslam. Cue the "one more match" speculation.

There's talk of a Brock Lesnar/Triple H rematch at Survivor Series. Building new stars!

There are RUMORS of Shawn Michaels coming out of retirement to face Lesnar. I wouldn't count on it.

Tyson Kidd and Cody Rhodes talked at Summerslam AXXESS.

AJ also talked before Summerslam.

So did Miz.

And Eve.

Up next: a lot of questions answered!

Raw Reax- 8/20/12

AMAZING opening segment. Why do so few people cut promos like that in 2012?

Solid opening bout. Everyone's performing well.

Good backstage segment to re-establish Otunga and get over Punk's Tout.

Ryback's freaking BRUTAL. Scary power. I hope they utilize it right. Good continuation of the Jinder feud.

Interesting continuation of Ziggler/Jericho. I'm ok with it if it makes Ziggler a superstar (which should be the whole point of the feud!).

Orton vs. Del Rio was good, and it added fuel to the World Title feud. That's important!

Clay vs. Sandow was surprising, as was the post-match.

Pretty good segment with HBK.

Show vs. Otunga didn't accomplish much. Show got some heat back from losing last night, but I think they could have done that without derailing Otunga. How you book younger talent is important when you're running low on super-established names.

Pretty good match/segment involving Kane. I wish some of the younger talent got as much character work as Kane and Show.

Surprising win for Kaitlyn. Kind of an odd choice to face Layla, but we'll see what they do with it.

I like the videos for  Barrett.

Ziggler did get the win over Jericho but I think they could have built him up better with a win at Summerslam, too.

Jericho lost clean but got his heat back after the match. I don't get it. Why not a bigger rub for Ziggler?

Pretty solid ending to the show. I like the building of Punk as a heel.

More news and show coverage when I'm able!
