Query on Malik Omari, Interview with Angle, major Sting DVD error, Yesamania lives, NXT and Impact lineups, Stephanie on Punk, first GFW event announced, Smackdown audience, WWE Network in UK update, more matches for BFG, Smackdown match, Raw guest, what happened after Raw, and Questions on streaming PPVs, Rusev, Ambrose vs. Rollins, Fandango, and Raw's ratings

First up, a query:
1. Former NXT talent Malik Omari is back working in the UK for PWF.

Kurt Angle talked about his future, potentially retiring soon, and more. In order:
- It definitely sounds like he's done with TNA, but can't announce his future just yet. I can see him going to Jeff Jarrett's GFW.

- As for TNA's TV deal, they're expected to go to a new network for 2015. There are several networks they're having talks with.

- I can see WWE being reluctant to bring Angle back given his off-screen history. I don't know how shareholders would take it, for one, and there's concern of him being able to pass a physical.

- I loved Kurt Angle's WWE stuff, as a goofy character and a serious one.

- I'd like to see Angle vs. Swagger, Rusev, and Bryan, but I don't really expect them to happen.

Interviews with Kamala/Bobby Fulton, more live event notes, and Questions on Bryan vs. Jeff Hardy, the Wyatts, WWE names, Cena, and Big E/Kofi/Xavier

Kamala talked about working as a face in WWF and more. It's amazing to think of a time when Kamala was a top draw as a heel. Totally different era.

Bobby Fulton of The Fantastics talked about the state of wrestling today vs. the territory days. I think the good guy/bad guy dynamic still works in 2014, but the fans aren't just going to cheer someone just because they're pushed as a good guy. A lot of fans choose their own favorites and cheer for them regardless of which "side" the promotion says they're on. As for Vince, he adapted wrestling into sports entertainment and keeps drawing money from that concept. I don't see him leaving "his baby" in favor of doing another XFL or WBF kind of thing at this point. I can easily see him staying heavily involved with WWE until he's physically unable to do so.

WWE live event notes, new match set for BFG, Joe update, more TNA TV tapings coming?, assorted TNA updates, Sin Cara I back on U.S. TV?, WWE scouting, Kane appearance, origins of Devitt's new ring name, and Questions on WCW music, the Wyatts, and commentary

On this weekend's WWE live events, NXT Champion Adrian Neville beat Tyson Kidd. WWE is also continuing to experiment with the trio of Big E, Kofi Kingston, and Xavier Woods. I'm glad Neville's getting experience, and hope something comes of that group.

In less exciting live events news, Big Show beat Bray Wyatt clean with the KO Punch, and Great Khali beat Slater Gator in a handicap match. Both results sound miserable.

James Storm and The Great Sanada vs. Tajiri and The Great Muta is set for Bound For Glory. That will be pushed as the main event on the Japan side of things. I suppose it's only fitting for a major TNA show to focus on names from 10+ years ago. I'm curious to see how long the latter team can "go".

New announcer welcomed, Interviews with Edge/Wale/Eugene, Sheamus charity, Darren Young comeback video, first match set for BFG, and Questions on Molly Holly in the Hall, Brock not being a fighting champion, a Sting documentary, and Johnny Jeter

Renee Young welcomed the former Arda Ocal to WWE. I'm excited to them being together again.

Edge touched on wrestling in a recent interview. He's pretty content to be living life outside of wrestling, and I don't see that changing.

Sheamus granted a Make-A-Wish wish before a recent live event. That's great!

Darren Young put out a comeback video. That was pretty impressive! Working with Titus was the best thing to happen for him post-Nexus. I don't know how well he can do as a singles star, but I'm glad he's motivated.

Interviews with Robbie E/Sheamus/Cesaro, TNA close to TV deal?, Smackdown dark match, Steen-NXT update, note on recent NXT release, a public Taker appearance, Impact audience, Jake Roberts update, and Questions on Reigns, shooting tag matches, WWE remembering the past, and Rusev's future

Robbie E talked about the future of TNA and more. Viewership is in-line with earlier episodes of Impact, but not in line with the increase they sustained for the NYC tapings. As for TNA's tag team resurgence, Team 3D could be wrapping things up at BFG, and Richards is injured. So, the resurgence was rather short-lived. There were some hard-hitting matches coming out of the tag team title series, though, so that's something.

Sheamus talked about potentially facing Rusev and Brock Lesnar, and more. Sheamus vs. Brock would be pretty intense. I'd like to see it. I think Sheamus vs. Rusev is more likely, though.

TNA is expected to have a TV deal in place shortly, likely leaving Spike for another network. They're in talks with several networks, so it looks like they could indeed have a U.S. TV home in 2015. I'm somewhat pleasantly surprised at that news. They keep on existing in spite of all the things expected to finish them off. It'll be very interesting to see how a new TV deal changes things, and if their momentum finally turns around.

Set for Smackdown, BFG updates on Wolves/3D/Lashley, Mathews update, '50s/'60s wrestler passes, Reigns' replacement, where's Holly now?, Interview with Sheamus, Lesnar update, WWE hires new announcer, former tag champion leaving WWE?, Devitt gets WWE name, and Questions on Bryan, Spike-TNA, WWE's pre-shows, Vince's favorites, and Roman Reigns

Set for this week's Smackdown:
- Big Show vs. Rusev
- The Miz vs. Dean Ambrose
- Battle Royal to face Dolph Ziggler for the Intercontinental Championship
- WWE Tag Team Championship: Stardust and Goldust vs. The Usos
- Layla and Summer Rae vs. Natalya and Rosa Mendes
- Dolph Ziggler vs. the battle royal winner for the Intercontinental Championship

That's not a bad lineup. It's missing a number of major WWE players, though.

The Wolves will not be a part of Bound For Glory due to Davey Richards' injuries. Team 3D, howver, will be in what could be their final TNA appearance. Devon will be appearing on pre-taped shows past that date, but his contract ends at BFG.

Main Event Reax - 9/23/14, Reigns update, former WWE announcer to TNA?, TNA taping update, Hardy injury, WWE awards, Raw audience, and Questions on Rock vs. Lesnar, Vince running Creative, changing wrestlers' names, Cameron's wrestling ability, and WWE commentary

Main Event:
Fine enough little match to start the show, as far as telling the story of Slater Gator vs. Rose and The Bunny.

The post-match was good for keeping the story going.

I liked the Show/Henry segment, but I think it's going to lead to a Show vs. Henry feud. The focus of this angle needs to be on Rusev, not the people past 40. These two should be more in supporting roles.

Not a bad Divas' match. The booking of Paige and AJ has been kind of curious these past few months.

I'm kind of tired of Paige vs. AJ, as good as they are. At least it's not Brie vs. Nikki!

I liked the Usos interview. Little things like that make matches more important.

Funny Bo/Kofi stuff. Bo's a pretty good character, though I don't know if we've seen anything as good as some of his NXT work.

I liked the Kofi vs. Bo match, but I hope Bo doesn't fizzle out after the losses. He should be OK as far as staying on the main roster, but WWE has to keep interest in him.

I liked the ending to the show for the most part, though I figured Ambrose would more or less tear through Miz and Sandow and be done with it.

Son of Hall of Famer passes, Sunny addresses health rumor, TNA promotes new signing, more on AWF promoter passing, Interviews with BNB/Sheamus, Taker A-OK, NXT names at Raw, Lucha Underground update, Smackdown audience, 15 years of Smackdown, Raw guest, Smackdown main event, fan jumps rail following Raw, and Questions on MITB, WWE pay, midcard titles, and Cena passing Flair's record

Michael Moody, son of WWE Hall of Famer Paul Bearer, has passed away. He was only 34. That's incredibly unfortunate, and really rough on the remaining family. I hope they make it through this as OK as can be expected.

Update: WWE.com issued a statement. It's been a rough year for the wrestling world in a lot of ways.

WWE Hall of Famer Sunny shot down rumors of a stroke or seizure at a recent convention. Ideally we'd hear from someone trained to differentiate a stroke, seizure, etc. who was present.

TNA put out a press release on their new Indian signing. Sonjay Dutt was born in the U.S. to Indian parents, so their press release is kind of a half-truth. I wonder when we'll see him in a TNA ring, since they've taped several months of Impact Wrestling before his signing.

Live event notes, Reigns update, More on 9/22/14 tease, Brain hospitalized, new TNA signing, and Questions on Brock vs. Rusev, Cena vs. Flair, Angle vs. Rusev, more NXT on the main roster, and not mentioning small towns

On a WWE live event Saturday, Sami Zayn beat Tyler Breeze. Also on the show, Big Show replaced Roman Reigns to beat Seth Rollins. That first sentence is part of the direction WWE needs to be taking. That second sentence is everything WWE should be getting away from. I guess they needed to send the crowd home "happy" with a face victory, though, so Show beats the talented and hardworking younger guy. Bleh.

Roman Reigns tweeted about his recovery. Apparently his hernia was pretty serious, and six weeks is the more likely recovery time than just four. Three months is the long guess. No Punk, no Reigns, and no Bryan might mean it's time for an Orton face turn. RVD and Jericho are gone, too, and I damn sure don't want to see Big Show as a top face.

WWE's tease for 9/22/14 is just about WWE 2K15. That's being billed as the next generation of the franchise. Exciting, but not as exciting as a changing of the guard of talent.

NXT live event report, WWE's next generation, WWE expanding into India (including live events!), WWE live event notes, Reigns to miss time, Interviews with Stardust/Matt Hardy, Rollins' school, Y2J the weatherman, and Questions on BFG, wrestling producers, autobiographies, and Downtown Bruno

Here's a report from a recent NXT live event. With some of NXT's top acts on the road with the main roster, the live events were missing some important players. I'm curious to see who will step up as "the next" Zayn, Neville, Breeze, Ascension, etc. as they transition to the main roster as time goes on.

WWE is teasing the beginning of the "next generation" for the day after Night of Champions. This could just be in relation to WWE 2K15, but it could also be a signal of an increased push of NXT on the main roster. Several NXT names are booked for upcoming TV tapings. WWE could definitely use some fresh faces on the main roster, but that only means so much if they don't elevate people who are already on the main roster. If that glass ceiling of stars who've been in main events for roughly ten years (or longer in some cases) remains at the top of the card, only so much change can be achieved. I think there needs to be a conscious goal to transition the roster in the coming years. The Cenas and Ortons can still contribute, but it's time to use them better. Triple H vs. The Undertaker was billed as "the end of an era" two years ago, but we still see some of the Attitude Era names pushed in big ways. It's OK in small doses, but ultimately it doesn't help the business long-term if new names don't get cycled in to the mix on a more regular basis.

WWE is making a HUGE investment into India moving forward. I think expanding internationally is going to be an increasingly important goal for WWE. I think in years to come we're going to see even more of an emphasis of the first "W" in the company, including more international signings to expand the company's reach. It could be pretty exciting!

Flair update, Interviews with top NXT prospects/Stardust/Bret Hart, NXT preview, NXT releases, and Questions on Cena selling injuries, PPVs on other nights, pushing NXT, and the fate of Impact Wrestling

Ric Flair is being advertised for WWE's live events in Mexico next month, so he's expected to be fully recovered by then. I hope so, for everyone's sake.

WWE.com interviewed five top NXT prospects: Sami Zayn, Adrian Neville, Hideo Itami, Fergal Devit, and Kevin Steen. What a lineup! They have some good points about not being stereotypes and all that. I'm glad to see it. All of them who talked sound excited to be there and make an impact. I really hope they all knock it out of the park. I wonder how many of those indie names they dropped are on the WWE radar and actually have a chance to be signed? Adam Cole and the Young Bucks have tried out before.

Set for the next episode of NXT:
- NXT Tag Team Championship: Lucha Dragons vs. The Ascension
- Bull Dempsey vs. Mojo Rawley
- Tyler Breeze vs. Justin Gabriel
- Bayley vs. Alexa Bliss
- Enzo Amore vs. Marcus Louis

That should be a good enough show.

Upcoming top TNA matches, Bully signs short-term TNA deal, another superhero on Raw?, Savage DVD details, AWF promoter passes, AJ/Paige angle update, new name for NXT Diva, Flair health update, Interviews with Henry/Rock/Miz, Impact audience, and Questions on NXT's priority, KENTA with Heyman, Taker in a movie, Kane's early WWF gimmick, and Cornette saving tapes

Announced for this week's Impact Wrestling tapings (to air in the weeks to come):
- TNA World Heavyweight Championship: Lashley vs. Bobby Roode
- Full Metal Mayhem for the TNA Tag Team Championship: The Wolves vs. Team 3D vs. The Hardys. This is the final match in the series.

So, Bully Ray has signed a short-term deal to at least work that match. Presumably he'll appear at BFG as well as part of the Hall of Fame. Beyond that, it's anyone's guess for both members of Team 3D.

Those matches are both awesome, but what the heck is TNA doing for Bound For Glory, the biggest show of the year?

Stephen Amell, who appears as the Green Arrow on CW's "Arrow", has pitched making an appearance for WWE. He even offered to wrestle. Book it! He could easily just KO Sandow.

Next WWE Network addition, NXT-WWE 2K15 update, notes on end of WWE Magazine, TNA-India updates, WWE star returning from injury?, former WWE name and TNA Original work tapings, and Questions on Swagger vs. Rusev, NXT names on the main roster, HoF nods for backstage folks, Vince pushing smaller stars, and Neville

WWE Network will next add the old Hulk Hogan's Rock 'n' Wrestling cartoon. That's pretty cool. I'm glad they're adding that.

Adrian Neville and Sami Zayn are supposed to be part of WWE 2K15 in some fashion. That's a pretty high endorsement considering they made it in before people already on the main roster (David Otunga, Zack Ryder, etc.).

AL.com covered the end of WWE Magazine. I also have some good memories of reading the magazine, like the brand split days resulting in a Smackdown magazine and Stone Cold telling his side of his walkout to Raw magazine. It's sad to see the publication go, but its time has passed. WWE is offering subscribers a 30-day pass to the WWE Network or a refund check to cover the balance.

Main Event Reax - 9/16/14, Query on GFW's roster, Lesnar update, TNA names at HoH, indie names work Raw, JR on Brock, in-depth look at TNA, X-Division talent missing tapings, Angle promoting TNA, a look at Melendez's first match, WWE seeking German goalkeeper?, Jake Roberts update, NXT names in 2K15, Hogan rumorkiller, Raw audience, Interview with BNB, Bully-TNA update, and Questions on WWE commentary, Cena's promos, wrestling as a work, jobbing in WWE vs. headlining on the indies, and Taker vs. Brock at WM31

Main Event:
The action was good in the opening tag match. I'm just getting tired of seeing this same combination of people wrestle each other. It's hard for Miz vs. Ziggler to feel special when they've already wrestled so many times.

I enjoyed Rollins' promo and think it was effective in getting his heat back after his loss to Reigns. They're just going to have to be really careful with how they book Sunday.

The sooner we get away from Brie vs. Nikki, the better. If this angle isn't getting "Total Divas" viewers to watch WWE, I question the value of it.

Fine enough Brie vs. Cameron match. Cameron makes for a good heel.

Rollins vs. Big E was pretty solid. I don't think it made up for Rollins' loss, but it's a step in the right direction.

Helms at WWE HQ, NXT preview, Interview with Bearer's son, what's set for TNA No Surrender?, Team 3D-TNA update, Y2J update, why Flair missed NXT date, WWE.com acknowledges Punk leaving, BNB update, more WWE-Full Sail scholarships, TNA pulls talent from iPPV, new WWE signing, Smackdown audience, Y2J hurt, and Questions on wrestling tropes, TNA names in WWE, tryouts, Vince's booking, and cashing in MITB

The former Hurricane/Gregory/Shane Helms was at WWE HQ filming material for the WWE Network. I was a huge Hurricane mark back in the day. I wish they would have done more with the character, because it was REALLY over.

Set for this week's NXT:
- Charlotte vs. Emma
- Hideo Itami vs. Justin Gabriel
- Baron Corbin vs. CJ Parker
- Titus O'Neil and Tyson Kidd vs. Adrian Neville and  Sami Zayn

You'd think it'd make more sense for Tyson to team with Gabriel again, but Itami vs. Titus almost definitely wouldn't be as good of a match. It will be interesting to see how Titus works with the high-flyers.

NXT names on live events, updates on NXT names on WWE TV, TNA taping updates, Bully-TNA update, Jeff Hardy note and Questions on the Monday Night War show, TNA post-Hogan, Ambrose vs. Reigns, wrestlers getting over, and Kurt vs. Brock

This past weekend's live events featured Sami Zayn beating Tyson Kidd, and Los Matadores beating The Ascension. I'm glad Zayn and The Ascension are getting more experience working main roster names. I'd like for all three to be brought up by the end of Mania season.

Update: Also on live events this weekend, Adrian Neville beat Tyler Breeze to retain the NXT Championship, while Xavier Woods was once more alongside Big E and Kofi Kingston (as faces). I think Neville and Breeze would still benefit from more time in NXT, but it's great for them to be getting their feet wet on a higher stage.

Sami Zayn and Tyler Breeze are scheduled for the next few weeks of TV, while NXT Champion Adrian Neville is set for appearances into October. It will be interesting to see how that plays out, and how long those three talents will stay in developmental if they get over well.

Rock-WWE update, Titus press and Questions on Kenta's new WWE name, Brock vs. Bully, Tara, and Cena changing gear

The Rock was interviewed about the feud with John Cena and more. He had some legit heat with Punk, too. As for a comeback, Rock vs. Brock at WM31 would be huge. I think Brock should lose the title to an up-and-comer, though.

Titus O'Neil got to be a special honorate at a recent home game. That's great!

Heenan injured, WWE selling video library?, Interviews with Melendez/Ziggler/Swagger/Sheamus, live notes from Takeover, NXT taping note, latest on Punk-WWE, Takeover guests, new international WWE deal, upcoming WWE matches, NXT names on main roster again, live event note, match set for Raw and Questions on Kenta's new WWE name, Brie vs. Nikki, Raw commentary, Bully Ray, and Havok

Bobby "The Brain" Heenan fell and broke his hip at home and will likely require surgery. He has pulled out of upcoming appearances. That's very unfortunate. I hope he recovers well.

There's a rumor going around about WWE selling its entire video library to Warner Bros.. I find that incredibly unlikely, given the use of WWE's library for the Network. The more likely scenario is WWE partnering with WB for DVD releases and the like.

New TNA signee Chris Melendez gave an interview about training with Team 3D and more. If Devon's staying there without Bully Ray, it would be wise to team him with Melendez. The rookie needs an experienced hand to work with. I think Rhino would also work as a partner given the ECW connection.

Here are some live thoughts from Takeover. I also think Mojo and Bull could use more fine-tuning. The "fans getting themselves over" thing is part of the main roster a lot as well. It's depressing. Some fans just do it when they don't like what's going on the ring, but others do it regardless.

Sad O'Haire note, Lucha Underground additions official, HoFer misses Takeover, Punk-WWE update, WWE press, Cena DVD cover, Jake Roberts update, more NXT merch, Interviews with Swagger/Russo, worst promos ever, Impact audience, Takeover dark match, and Questions on Brad Maddox, Christian, calling it in the ring, Cole vs. JR, and the Pitbulls

TMZ.com is reporting Sean O'Haire's death as a suicide. That's incredibly sad. I hope his family and friends are coping well. This is unfortunate for everyone involved.

Matt Striker and Ivelisse Velez have officially signed on to Lucha Underground after working the first set of tapings. There's a good lineup of talent there so far.

Brian Kendrick was also offered a deal for Lucha Underground, but turned it down. I would have liked to have seen him wrestle on U.S. TV again.

Ric Flair was unable to make NXT Takeover due to personal reasons. I hope for the best for the legend. His daughter put on a hell of a match there.

Main Event:
Reigns vs. Rollins makes sense for the PPV. Orton vs. Jericho is a little odd, but it makes sense for both of them to have a match then. I guess Bray's facing Big Show (yay....).

That was a pretty good opening segment. My only gripe was Rollins insinuating no one cared what happened to Ambrose. Instead, he should have turned that into more heat on himself for taking the fans' hero away from them.

Pretty good match between Swagger and Rollins. I think the right guy won, since Rollins is in the midst of a push right now.

Not a bad Slater Gator segment for their kind of comedy. I'm glad they're getting screen time, at least.

Nice showing from Cesaro to get the win. I think he'd make a great U.S. Champion (again).

Pretty good Cesaro promo. I liked the King of Wrestling reference. Sheamus vs. Cesaro should be pretty fun.

Silly, but entertaining segment with Slater Gator.

Fine match to get the fans warmed up at the taping. How long before the bunny wrestles?

It was pretty cool to see The Ascension work the main roster. I hope it's not too long before they're brought up. They're ready to get some training at the next level (vs. main roster teams).

Everything else from yesterday is after the break.

NXT Takeover lineup, WWE live events canceled?, TTTT date set, indie names at WWE tryout, NXT injury update, Smackdown audience, Raw cameos, new NoC match, segment set for Smackdown, Raw guest hurt and Questions on NXT talent on the main roster, Cena vs. Vince, Cena in TNA, and WWE camera zooms

Set for Thursday's NXT Takeover special this Thursday:
- NXT Championship: Adrian Neville vs. Tyler Breeze vs. Sami Zayn vs. Tyson Kidd
- NXT Tag Team Championship: The Ascension vs. Sin Cara and Kalisto
- NXT Women's Championship: Charlotte vs. Bayley
- Hair vs. Hair match: Enzo Amore vs. Sylvester LeFort
- Bull Dempsey vs. Mojo Rawley
- Ric Flair welcomes Kenta to NXT

That should be a really big show. I'm looking forward to it.

WWE is believed to have canceled two South American live events in mid-October (10/15 in Colombia and 10/16 in Ecuador). These shows were the same week as WWE's shows in Mexico. Maybe WWE just loads up the Mexican shows, then. With no Rey or Del Rio, it will be interesting to see how well those shows do.

More NXT names work live events, Jake Roberts update and Questions on Raw's season premiere, suing WWE, the WWE HoF, the internet, and wrestlers' goals

The team of Big E and Kofi Kingston (accompanied by Xavier Woods) defeated NXT Tag Team Champions The Ascension at a recent live event. It might just be about time for them to be called up. Dropping the titles at Takeover would be a good indication of them being on the short list of coming to the main roster.

Also on the same set of live events, NXT's Sami Zayn beat Tyson Kidd. I'm sure that one was really something. Sami's definitely the top name down there as far as whom I've seen compete. Kenta, Devitt, Steen, Crowe, and Willie Mack have yet to be tested on the NXT TV show so I can't really say anything about them.

Everything else from yesterday is after the break.

Adrian Neville beat Tyler Breeze for the NXT Championship at Friday's WWE live event. I'm glad they're getting experience working the main roster. They've both got great potential.

Add the former Judas Mesias to those working Lucha Underground. The former Jesus and Ivelisse Velez are still in the "dark match" category until/unless they come to terms for contracts. Konnan will be in a non-wrestling role.

Here's footage of Kenta in the ring at an NXT live event. I'm ready to see him kick some fools.

Del Rio's AAA debut set, Kenta to appear on NXT, leaked Raw script, Impact audience, Rivers-WWE connection and Questions on Jerry Springer, Lashley in MMA, I-G-G-Y in WWE, worked shoots, and Bully vs. Brock

El Patron, the former Alberto Del Rio, is wrestling September 13 and 14 for AAA. He's apparently worked out something with WWE in regard to his no-compete clause. It's unclear whether this means he can work in TNA or elsewhere in the U.S.. I'd assume not. I imagine he'll do AAA instead either way.

Kenta will make his NXT TV debut next week at Takeover, being welcomed by Ric Flair. That's a big start for him! I'm curious who his first feud will be. I think Tyson Kidd (with Justin Gabriel as his "sidekick") would be great given how Kidd can work with just about anyone.

The script for the Labor Day Raw has been leaked. It even includes hashtags! I love how they actually used the name "Damien Mizdow", too.

WWE has dropped all references to Michael Sam from their website. And so, another publicity stunt in the wrestling world goes unfulfilled.

Update: Michael Sam has been signed to the Dallas Cowboys, so don't expect him to be on Raw.

Update: WWE congratulated Sam for being signed. So, hopefully this story's pretty much wrapped up.

Set for Night of Champions:

Main Event:
I liked the opening segment, if for no other reason than Sandow got some time to get his character over. Could he finally be on the road to something meaningful? It's an off chance, but that's better than no chance.

I didn't expect Sandow to win given Ziggler defending his title at Night of Champions. But he's had more embarrassing defeats lately (especially on live events). So maybe this is progress?

I'm actually kind of excited for Jerry Springer on Raw. If they're going to go full train wreck, they might as well get everything they can out of it.

Not a bad Divas' match. I'd definitely rather see more of Summer Rae, Natalya, and Layla than Rosa Mendes, but that's life.

Good showing from both teams here. Stardust and Goldust are really coming into their own. I hope the sky's the limit for Stardust/Cody Rhodes.

Good post-match to keep the heel turn active.

Everything else from yesterday is after the break.

Cool Batista story, NXT lineup, wrestling in North Korea photos, more TNA departures?, TNA taping notes, names who won't be on El Rey series, Del Rio update, WWE signs top indy name and Questions on WWE re-writing history, creative control, WWE commentary, TNA on Spike, and the Wyatts

Batista's portrayal of Drax the Destroyer inspired a boy with autism. That's pretty cool.

Set for this week's NXT:
- The Vaudevillains vs. Sin Cara and Kalisto to determine the #1 Contenders to the NXT Tag Team Championship
- Charlotte vs. Alexa Bliss
- Tyler Breeze vs. Tye Dillinger
- Tyson Kidd vs. Adam Rose
- Sami Zayn vs. Marcus Louis
- Adrian Neville vs. CJ Parker

So, all four men vying for the title at Takeover 2 will have singles matches. I look forward to it.

NBC has footage from the recent wrestling event in North Korea. That's a pretty cool form of diplomacy.

Raw Reax - 9/1/14

Read on for my thoughts on Monday's Raw.

Jake Roberts update, Interviews with Sabin/Cesaro/BNB/Bryan, NXT name injured and Questions on cutting back PPVs, the Attitude Era, Robbie E/Brooke, Tamina, and Rollins' finisher

Jake Roberts has been sedated and put on a ventilator to aid in getting oxygen to his lungs. He continues to fight double pneumonia. I hope he pulls through.

Chris Sabin talked about wanting to go to WWE, being TNA Champion and more. He got really hosed as champion.

Cesaro talked before Raw. It's a real shame the association with Heyman didn't do him much good. He could have really excelled post-WM30. Fans were (and still are) hungry for newer names moving up the card.

Everything else from Sunday is after the break.

Monday, September 1, 2014

Title match set for NoC, Rollins appearance, Interviews with Goldust/McIntyre, Wrestle-1 names at BFG, former X-Division Champion re-signs to TNA and Questions on Sandow's booking, Bram, managers, saving Miz and ROH attendance

Sheamus will defend the U.S. Title against Cesaro at Night of Champions. No surprise there. I hope both of them show they can be used higher up on the card. I'd much rather see those two in big roles in 2014 than Show, Kane and Henry.

Seth Rollins will appear at The Gamestop Expo in Anaheim, CA on Sept. 10 ahead of the launch of WWE 2K15. Can he cash in MITB there?

Goldust talked before Summerslam. No face paint, sadly. It's cool to hear from the experienced pro. Good words about his success in the business.

Everything else from Saturday is after the break.

Announcement of roster for BFG, Interviews with Stephanie/R-Truth/Angle/Goldberg, wrestling in NK, profile of the Bull, new DVD covers, Jake Roberts update and Questions on Comic-Con on the WWE Network, TNA hiring Russo, Chael Sonnen, Ryback vs. Lesnar and where Cena goes from here

TNA has announced a list of names appearing at Bound For Glory. They usually save some of the big names for later announcements, so the sparse roster's not a big surprise. It will be interesting (and perhaps depressing) to see who will and won't still be in TNA by the time BFG comes around.

Stephanie McMahon talked about WWE superfan Connor Michalek. That was pretty touching. I hope it wouldn't be seen as exploitative if he was put into the WWE Hall of Fame's celebrity wing. I'd love to see something like that.

R-Truth talked about working hurt and more. He's great in the role of journeyman helping less-experienced performers. As for a career highlight, I definitely point to his run as a heel vs. Cena. That was one of the best heel turns I've ever seen. It gave him something fresh to do and new fire to his character.

Everything else from Friday is after the break.

Smackdown Reax - 8/29/14

Read on for my thoughts on Friday's Smackdown.

Brock appearances update, Interview with RVD, Jarrett update, notes on new U.S. lucha series, Impact audience, Jake Roberts hospitalized, Devitt update, WWE Magazine closes and Questions on splitting the Bellas, non-WWE docs on the Network, battle royal matches, sources on docs and Ventura

Brock Lesnar is advertised for the Smackdown ahead of Hell in a Cell. It must be something to make the Thursday night move more special, because he's very rarely on that show.

Rob Van Dam talked after the final Raw of this run. RVD's an amazing performer, but his promos are dry as dirt sometimes.

Here's a trailer for a Brothers of Destruction DVD. Taker and Kane used to be really dominant and awesome. Now they're really winding things down. How much more can WWE get out of the two of them in the ring at this point?

Jeff Jarrett made a splash in Japan on behalf of GFW by joining AJ Styles' Bullet Club faction. That group's the big talk of the Japanese wrestling scene.

Everything else from Thursday is after the break.
