Main Event Reax - 7/1/17, rapper appearing on Smackdown, GBOF gets a post-show, Orton missing dates, Interview with Corbin, Y2J celebrates Japanese milestones, ROH officials at NJPW, GFW getting new belts, Alberto travel issues, and Questions on the Young Stallions, WWE-Sony in India, the 5 Star Wrestling tournament, and WWF in Australia

-- Main Event:
- Cedric vs. Kendrick:
I love Brian's tenacity. He's completely changed his game from the Spanky days.

Alexander bringing the acrobatics.

Nice counter to the big suplex. I like the story of Brian trying to outsmart his younger, dynamic opponent.

I love Kendrick's submission strategy. He fights like a hyena (or something).

Wow. A Cobra clutch, a camel clutch, and a butterfly suplex. Kendrick's going all over the animal kingdom here!

I like this shifting to being about strikes. Cedric doesn't want to get too fancy right now given Brian's lethal grapples.

I'm enjoying this. It's a match we haven't seen 500 times already.

I loved Kendrick trying to trip Cedric there. It's the little things to remind us this is a match, not just an excuse to do pretty moves.

That was a pretty good ending.

- Club vs. Revival:
Now this should be fun.

I'm liking this so far.

It's nice to see two rough brawling teams together.

Anderson and Gallows could probably make a fun face team. They'd almost definitely be more interesting.

I've missed The Revival in action.

This is how you do a tag match!

I'm loving the story between The Revival and the referee.

This is a treat! Nice to see something different from Anderson and Gallows.

Hahahahaha Wilder accidentally making a tag happen.

This is really good.

Really fun ending sequence.

Wale will officiate Smackdown's rap battle. This should be fun.

Raw Talk is scheduled to follow Great Balls of Fire. I assume it will be a regular thing for Network events going forward. I really hope they do "Raw Talking Smack" or something for dual-branded PPVs.

Randy Orton will be missing the July 11 Smackdown and some live events on the road to Battleground, possibly due to a WWE Studios project. Thankfully John Cena will be on hand for those shows.

Baron Corbin promoted Smackdown in Arizona. I'd pop if he and a ref traveled together and he "tried to cash in" on Jinder in an airport. The Hardcore Championship was really fun for the sheer insanity of the 24/7 rule.

Chris Jericho put over his 50th tour of Japan and reuniting with Ultimo Dragon. His career is the definition of illustrious.

ROH's GM Greg Gilliland, director of production Mark Davis, booker Delirious, official Todd Sinclair, Christopher Daniels, BJ Whitmer, and Cheeseburger were all at NJPW's California event. So, yes, this was a really big deal.

- Former ECW name Jeff Jones was also in attendance.

Anthem has ordered new championship belts for GFW as the promotion changes over to that name. The weekly TV show will remain Impact Wrestling.

Alberto El Patron missed the start of the Slammiversary fan interaction due to commentary duties in Mexico the previous night. He's got a pretty busy schedule post-WWE.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. Powers must have pretty much moved on from the business.

2. Happenings like that often spur action by WWE, as we saw with them pushing the UK series earlier in order to beat the potential WOS revival to the punch. It's that kind of "ruthless aggression" that got WWE where it is now!

3. Time will tell!

Nothing to add to 4 or 5.

6. It doesn't look like those shows were televised.

More wrestling tomorrow.
