Smackdown Live and Mixed Match Challenge Reax - 12/11/18

Read on for my thoughts on last night's Smackdown Live and Mixed Match Challenge.

- Bryan/Mustafa:
I mean, I don't really see Bryan as a heel for this message.

I can't wait for AJ to realize fans will turn on him one day, too.

I wonder how/when Management remembered 205 Live existed and they could use those talents on other shows.

I can't complain about them using some fresh faces on WWE shows.

HAHAHAAH Bryan acknowledging no one cares about WWE matches.

Bryan tapping out everyone who kills the planet is badass.

Pretty good work to set a match up.

- Bryan vs. Mustafa:
I like the viciousness shown here.

Ali's got a big opportunity here.

A win is a win, even by countout.

This is solid!

Ali's having a heck of a showing with the WWE Champion.

This is pretty good.

Pretty good ending.

- Post-match:
Based. Mustafa should trade in his SUV now.

- Rap battle:
That wasn't bad.

There's no way they were going to top the Xavier Woods dis. I don't know if this was the right "go-home" segment for the feud, but the beatdown was fun.

- Asuka promo:
I'm ready for Asuka to be prominent again. I'd be fine with her winning the title and Becky entering the Rumble to face Ronda.

- Miz/Shane:
If anything, Shane the non-wrestler should be stanning Miz, since Miz could be WWE Champion.

I would be all for Miz beating Shane and taking the trophy.

- Miz/Shane squash:
Wow. Shane was more dominant than the WWE Champion. At least he didn't have to exert himself too much.

- Paige backstage:
Yeah I doubt Miz got $5,000 for that match. Be glad you got on TV, jobbers.

- Orton/Rey:
This should really be a good match.

Good work to sell a match that doesn't feel like a forced stipulation.

- Becky interview:
Becky vs. Asuka vs. Charlotte could steal the show.

- Rusev/Jeff vs. Joe/Shinsuke:
GOD STOP WITH THE DANCE BREAKS.

Joe and Shinsuke as a team is interesting.

This is good so far.

Wow. Surprised to see Rusev pin Shinsuke, but the work was good.

- More Shane/Miz:
STOP THE PAIIINNNNNN

- AJ interview:
That was pretty good.

- Asuka vs. Charlotte:
Smooth technical work to start.

NICE moonsault counter.

This is really good.

These two work together REALLY well.

Hell of a match.

Tables Ladders Chairs and Kendo Sticks!!

- Post-match:
Yeah don't mess with The Man.

Glad to see Asuka look like a threat.

-- MMC:
- Apollo/Bayley vs. Jinder/Alicia:
Solid action so far.

Mahal is basic, but effective.

They're kind of stretching this one out.

Fun stretch to wrap things up. I can't say I'm compelled by Jinder and Alicia winning the series, though.

- Miz/Asuka vs. Truth/Carmella:
I still love the Miz/Asuka pairing.

Miz and Asuka are pretty much the highlight of Season 2.

Miz is doing pretty well here.

Hahahaha Miz using Asuka as a shield.

Ahhhhh fun work at the end. It makes sense to save Asuka for the title match.
