Rumble match announced and dropped, WM35 comic, Impact moving channels, All In main event released, Bandido's ROH debut set, Brock Raw date, more Hidden Gems, WWE TV wins social awards, Cena skit, new Network shows this week, new wrestling HoFers, Impact audience, Tribute audience, and Questions on working injured body parts, wrestlers who should have been world champion, Burchill's status, Flair vs. Muta, and Taker working Japan

WWE announced Asuka vs. Becky Lynch for Royal Rumble before revoking it. It could be they want Becky to win the Rumble and don't want to put her on double duty that night.

WWE comics will have a WrestleMania special issue in March. The art on the series is always incredible.

Impact will move to Pursuit Channel starting January 11. The show will air Fridays at 10 p.m., meaning it will follow Smackdown Live beginning in October.

- Anthem is a partner in the channel, so this was a natural move.

- Pursuit Channel is in far fewer homes than Pop or Destination America, with a significantly smaller social media presence. This feels like a last-ditch, desperation move on Anthem and Impact's end. It keeps them alive, but it's not a step up or even a step to the same level.

- Impact is still seeking a larger, more profitable U.S. distribution deal. This move is being presented as Impact having a safe haven while they pursue their next steps.

- Pursuit is interested in further Impact programming, including Xplosion and making use of the video library. That could be helpful for Impact.

- Impact moved from Pop due to feeling Pop was changing directions and would drop them sooner rather than later. Impact chose to leave while things were on good terms.

- There are no current announcements of replays or digital distribution of Impact episodes once this deal takes effect. It could be something they're still working on.

ROH released All In's main event on YouTube to promote Bandido signing with them. He can definitely be an important part of the company.

- Bandido will work both the January 12 TV taping and January 13 Honorclub event. I'm glad they're putting their new talents right to work.

Brock Lesnar is advertised for the January 21 Raw leading to Royal Ruble 2019. WWE has a big opportunity to establish Braun Strowman and show they're truly committed to new ideas with this feud.

WWE Network continues to use AWA Christmas cards on their Hidden Gems.

Raw and Smackdown Live were among the top five "social" shows of 2018, according to Nielsen. Raw was second with engagements on Facebook and Twitter, while Smackdown Live was fifth.

John Cena was in a "couple's therapy" skit on YouTube.

WWE Network is debuting new series this week:
- "Fashion Files: Cold Case Unit" will debut after Raw
- "Xavier's Arcade Challenge" will debut at 7:30 p.m. before Smackdown Live
- "WWE Kitchen Smackdown" will debut Thursday at 7 p.m.
- "Botch Club" will debut Friday at 7 p.m. Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson are part of this.

Beth Phoenix is the first female inductee into the George Tragos/Lou Thesz Professional Wrestling Hall of Fame. That's very special.

- Author Brian Shields is also being inducted this year.

Impact Wrestling drew 116,000 viewers for their first of two Best of 2018 episodes Thursday night. That's in line with what they've generally done in that time slot. We'll see if they can hit that number on Pursuit.

Tribute to the Troops drew 1.13 million viewers.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. Once someone's cleared, they're cleared. There's a lot of rehabilitation before someone's allowed back in the ring.

2. Hennig was AWA World Champion, notably. I think Wade Barrett should have been WWE Champion during the Nexus angle. That's the most prominent recent name that comes to mind.

3. I marked out so hard for Burchill. He actually worked OVW 1000, but only had a handful of matches after WWE.

4. It was likely either Great Muta or Buzz Sawyer. This could have been Starrcade 1989 on December 13, because I don't see any other time they faced off one-on-one that was televised.

5. WWE plays loose with facts sometimes as part of the work, making things seem bigger or more important they are. Undertaker worked Japan in 1990 as Punisher Dice Morgan, before returning in 1992 and 1994 as Undertaker before that match in 1997.

More wrestling tomorrow.
