Hardy court cases continued, TNA stars work charitable indie show, more on Orton dropped from the Marines, HHH interview, Questions on wrestling "fishing tales", replacing Cena at Mania, what's next for Taker at Mania, and Rock besting Cena, Finlay update, more Mania weekend visitors, Miz appearance, more on Epico, Strongbow remembered, more on Lesnar's return including advertised PPV appearance, will Heyman return to WWE?, ESPN reporter claims big Mania and Rock news, Bourne update, McIntyre hurt?, more on Kamala, Jericho to miss WWE dates?, Cena to appear on SyFy show, and Punk and Rock on good terms?

Matt Hardy's court hearings have been moved to 5/14. Since I started covering this story before this year, I'll continue doing so. In general, I'm moving away from court cases and legalities unless they're major.

Abyss and ODB will be part of an independent show for benefit for a Humane Society.

Marines supported WWE's decision to remove Randy Orton from the 3rd "Marine" movie.

Triple H talked before his WrestleMania match.

PWInsider.com had new questions Wednesday:
1. Hogan for the same reasons they said. Angle never said he was going to be a bass player in Metallica.

2. I'll trust their answer, though there's really no telling with Vince sometimes. My pick would have been Miz since he wasn't doing anything else at that point and there was a ready-made angle there from last year..

After the break, I go into everything else from Wednesday. Next up, does TNA have a chance to catch WWE? And if so, how?
3. As they alluded to, WWE has been around for decades. They are "weaker" than they were in years past and TNA has grown to some degree, but that's a tough mountain to climb. TNA (or any other promotion) needs to capitalize on WWE's mistakes for one. If I'm them, I'm making sure the fans know that TNA's not going into movies or just going to be pushing a kid-friendly PG product. If WWE drops the ball on someone and they get released, TNA should pick them up if they can and run with them. If fans want something WWE won't give them (Cruiserweights, whatever), they need to bring that to the table. But that might be advice for a little down the road. First they need to build themselves up to being in close to WWE's league by growing ratings and business, etc.. That might not involve going directly against what WWE's doing.  I agree that WWE (and wrestling in general) could benefit from a strong challenger.

4. I want to see Taker take on whoever gave him that haircut personally. Seriously, though, I agree with their reasoning on Taker vs. Cena. If Taker vs. Brock's not an option and he's still able to go next year, there are only a couple of people who are that big of a deal to face him after the matches he's had the last 4 years. If next year's his absolute last match, I've always been partial to a scenario where he faces Kane in something that ends their feud forever and completely writes his character off. Big Show or Mark Henry could work given how big they are. I just don't want them to derail someone who's still "coming up through the ranks like Barrett, Miz, etc.. Del Rio would be interesting, though (looking to fulfill his DESTINY). And Taker's "only" 47.

5. I wouldn't say it made Cena look weak, but it's tough to compete with Rock when he's "on". I wouldn't say Cena's devoid of charisma since he can definitely get at least a good part of the audience behind him. I'm starting to see the criticism of him smiling and that kind of thing, though.

Finlay will be competing at Ring Of Honor for an appearance he was booked for months ago. What that means for his WWE status (if anything) is TBD/TBA.

The lead singer of Rancid was in attendance at the WWE Hall of Fame and WrestleMania. Former WWF ring announcer Mike McGirk and Diana Hart also attended WrestleMania.

The Miz appeared on MTV for "The Challenge: Battle of the Exes".

Epico and Rosa Mendes' comments on Twitter recently were in character. Expect more storyline-driven comments on Twitter. WWE really wants the roster to use that to flesh out storylines.

Here's an article remembering "Chief" Jay Strongbow.

With Brock Lesnar's return come questions of whether Paul Heyman will join him have naturally popped up. There is currently no interest on Heyman's part. He's turned down opportunities to be on the WWE Network and for other projects, too. A one-time appearance or him changing his mind is always possible, but it's not something expected right now.

Some speculate that Lesnar's return could lead to some kind of push for Michael McGillicutty given the latter's father was good friends with Lesnar. He's currently a mainstay on NXT, so he's not someone the company's putting a lot of focus on.

Here's footage of Jeff Hardy and James Storm at the ACM Awards on behalf of TNA.

Gus Ramsey of ESPN is claiming that WrestleMania 28 brought in 1.9 million buys, and that The Rock has signed a 1-year deal with WWE. No confirmation on either of those things yet. Obviously both would be huge to WWE.

Evan Bourne confirmed that recovery will take a while for his foot injury. More on this when it comes out.

Drew McIntyre says that he hurt his shoulder at WM28. No word on whether he'll miss time and/or need any kind of surgery.

Brock Lesnar is now being officially advertised for Extreme Rules. No word on whether he'll be competing that night.

Kamala will indeed need his right foot amputated due to complications from diabetes. That sucks.

Chris Jericho's "Fozzy" has announced a UK tour in June. While he's advertised for Raw on 6/4, he isn't advertised for the No Way Out PPV on 6/17. I don't want to jump to conclusions here, but that is something to take note of.

A Canadian website talked about The Rock's dig at the CFL.

John Cena will guest star on SyFy's "Dream Machines".

The Rock posted a photo of himself with C.M. Punk, which is very unexpected given the latter's comments about him.

Finally, WWE issued a statement on the passing of "Chief" Jay Strongbow.

That's all for Wednesday's news. Superstars and Impact Wrestling thoughts are coming up next!
