TNA Lockdown thoughts

Tonight, TNA goes on Lockdown as every single match takes place inside of a steel cage. Former partners turned bitter enemies Bobby Roode and James Storm collide over the TNA World Title, either Eric or Garett Bischoff must leave the company following Lethal Lockdown, and a number of other title and grudge matches will go down. Read on for my thoughts on the show as it happens.
Starting the show with Lethal Lockdown is interesting to say the least. What does that say about their confidence in the Bischoffs?

Glad we're getting kind of a change of pace with Aries.

Well, at least Kazarian looks different now.

Eric's doing a good job in his role here.

Chaos here as expected.

Well, at least we got that out of the way. Not a 5-star match by any means.

Joe and Magnus are quite the well-oiled machine. I dig seeing them.

I thought we were going to have new champs there for a second. I wouldn't have been pleased with that outcome.

Glad MCMG didn't take the titles. They're good at doing high-flying daredevil stuff, but that novelty eventually wears off.

I hope they have plans for Robbie E. Devon dominating here (without setting something up for someone to feud with him next) doesn't really do much for anyone. He's already pretty credible and over.

Meh. Devon's in great shape and all, but I really think it's time for some other stars to grab the brass rings in the company. There wouldn't be much point to a rematch, since he pretty much dominated Robbie. I'm not a big fan of Robbie T, but at least him getting the gold would be something different.

Solid interview with Matt Morgan. Push this guy.

This match is a good deal better than I thought it would be.

And Gail Kim's reign continues. I appreciate them building a strong champion, but she's pretty much beaten everybody with any credibility.

Good thing they made some of the matches shorter so we could get Flair and Hogan facing off for the umpteenth time.

These two are going to be hitting each other with walkers and dentures in a couple of years.

Are we really going to get Hogan vs. Flair again? They've got over 120 years between them!

Morgan and Crimson are bringing it here. Glad to see it.

Good for what it was. Certainly better than seeing Hogan and Flair jabber on.

Very big match between Angle and Hardy given Angle's injury. They've both "still got it", and TNA should take advantage of that by having them elevate people who aren't already stars.

TERRIBLE Knockouts tag match. Everyone involved should be ashamed of it.

Solid by Roode as always.

I liked the way they started this one off. It should definitely feel like more of a fight than a match.

This is going pretty damn well. Props to both men.

Damned good end game. I wish they would have done a little more with it, but I'm glad this is continuing.

That's all for Lockdown. I'll be back for Raw tomorrow night. A news post will be up soon. Thanks for reading!
