Maria comments on failed Mania match, post-Raw dark match, WWE responds to allegations, Smackdown audience, Diva hurt, deaf wrestler aspires to WWE, Cena's 300th wish, Booker update, Kane "hurt", Interview with Del Rio, Hogan pals at baseball game, NXT stars profiled, Morgan leaves TNA, and Questions on the IC Title, Wellness failures, TNA problems, and Miz

Maria is claiming that the Bella Twins cost her a WWE return. The story that's been reported is that The Bellas, Kelly Kelly, Maryse, and Maria were set to be a part of a 10-Diva tag at WrestleMania facing off with 5 current Divas led by Kaitlyn (who was Divas' Champion at the time). There was dissension in the ranks of the past Divas, to say the least. Obviously the Bellas are back, but I don't expect the others to return. How this affects the status of Maria's boyfriend, ROH star Mike Bennett, in possibly going to WWE is unknown. He had a tryout some time ago.

After Raw, John Cena defeated Ryback to retain the WWE Championship. BAH GAWD CENA OVERCAME THE ODDS. Yeah, I don't think anyone was surprised about that result.

WWE responded to recent claims about sexual harrassment in NXT, which have circulated over the Internet from former workers. Does anyone else see the problem with them investigating themselves instead of an independent 3rd-party looking into it?

Everything else from yesterday is after the break.

Smackdown was at 2.38 million viewers this past week, likely due to the advertised appearance of C.M. Punk. Hopefully the casual viewers stick around.

Nikki Bella is on crutches (having previously been in a wheelchair). No word on why, or how long she'll be out. Hopefully it wasn't a vengeful Maria.

A deaf wrestler has dreams of going to WWE. Inspirational story, but I don't see it happening. It would be very difficult for him to be successful there.

Here's a story on John Cena's 300th Make-A-Wish wish. That's really awesome of him.

Booker T. is expected to be back soon. I wouldn't mind if they just kept Teddy in charge. The authority figure thing is pretty played out.

WWE is teasing that Kane won't make the MITB event following being attacked by the Wyatt Family. I wonder if he'll be taking any time off? He's 46 and has had well over 2000 matches in his career. If anyone's earned some time off, it's him.

Alberto Del Rio was on a radio show ahead of MITB. As great as he is with facial expressions, it would be a crime to keep him under the mask.

Jimmy Hart and Brian Knobs were at a Marlins game, which is good because that means they weren't at a wrestling event.

Two NXT stars with football roots were profiled. Pretty cool story. Neither man has made much of an impact thus far, but they've barely been on TV, so they haven't exactly had a lot of chances to. There's only an hour of TV a week, so not everyone can be featured.

Matt Morgan has left TNA after requesting a release from his contract last month. tna what r u doin. tna. stahp. Seriously, that's a shame. He could have been a big star for them. He has great size, athleticism, experience, and mic ability. He's not a "perfect 10", but a lot more ready for the main event scene than some of the acts that TNA has been waiting to break out for YEARS. I hope he's WWE-bound. Maybe they'd actually appreciate him.

Update: Morgan commented on leaving TNA. Still employed: Chavo Guerrero, DOC, Devon, Eric Young, Hernandez, Jessie Godderz, Knux, ODB, Rob Terry, Sam Shaw, etc.. TNA pls.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. I think it's fair to say that the IC Title is less important than it was before the World Title came into existence. Though I guess when the WCW Title was around during the Invasion angle, it was more important as well. I think it's a stretch to say that it's not important in 2013. Not AS important, true. But not important? Why the hell would Miz and Axel fight over it if they it didn't mean anything!

2. You think RVD will get 3 Wellness violations working a part-time schedule for a year? That's some pretty hardcore drug use. He was arrested and suspended in the days of the ECW brand, but not due to failing a Wellness test.

3. I do think having more babyfaces in prominent positions who don't always get one-upped by the heels could help TNA. And I think there's something to the theory of WWE being down hurting things as well as the focus on older stars. It's worth noting that they are doing some pushes of some somewhat younger acts now.

4. I have to concur here. I'd like to think that WWE would get (even further) behind some younger, fresher acts if TNA started to gain significant ground. And maybe bring back the Huckster! I think they're somewhat complacent where they are now: they know they can keep bringing in HHH, Lesnar, Taker, etc. every once in a while to prop business up a bit if they really have to.

5. Miz isn't exactly known for his technical expertise, but that would make sense. Of course, if he copied even more of Flair's moves (chop blocks, etc.), the IWC would hate him even more!

More wrestling tomorrow.
