Sorensen update, ex-FCW wrestler charged with murder, Interviews with Maestro/Ryback/Nash/Sabin, Hall no longer accountable, more on Booker T. Day, Del Rio hurt, Orton returns, Kofi/Show/Ricardo/Keibler updates, Dixie addresses fans, Lawler to wrestle, and Questions on an '80s name, the Bryan angle, TNA vs. ROH, and Aries

Jesse Sorensen corrected a claim that was made on a Gofundme.com page associated with him. He was respectful to Bischoff and others on Twitter, so I wouldn't be surprised if it was someone else who made those claims on the Gofundme page.

Former FCW wrestler DT Porter has been charged with murder. More here. Sh*t just got real. That's some pretty scary stuff.

Update: Even more here and here. Ah, the old "I was hacked" defense. Kurt Angle would be proud.

Former WCW wrestler The Maestro was interviewed. Wrestling has some crazy gimmicks, no?

Scott Hall has left DDP's "Accountability Crib" to move into an apartment with his son Cody. I hope that's the right decision for his health.

Everything else from yesterday's news is after the break.

Here's a brief ABC story on Booker T. Day in Houston.

Alberto Del Rio suffered some sort of rib injury recently, though worked a match at the Smackdown taping. It feels like there are injuries all the time. Geez.

Randy Orton worked the Smackdown taping as well, so he's been cleared to return.

Kofi Kingston is expected back in about three weeks. I wonder where he'll go from here. I'd be interested to see how he would fare with Prince Nana in his corner if that's still a possibility.

Big Show still has not been medically cleared to return to the ring. So why the heck did they run a video package on him? I'm guessing that might have been some kind of miscommunication. I'm completely ok with people like Cesaro and Swagger getting TV time in his place.

Ryback talked in Texas. If there was ever a state made for someone like Ryback, it's Texas.

Dixie Carter talked about the state of TNA and more. Apparently there will be new talents coming in, and they might continue to use some of those recent X-Division names. To the best of my knowledge, no one has been signed since Rampage Jackson. As always, they could use some stars on a date-by-date basis without bringing them in under full deals.

Jerry "The King" Lawler will return to the ring in Memphis in September (but not for WWE). Maybe he'll get picked up full-time there and we can get Riley or Regal or someone to take his place on Raw. He's been on commentary for WELL over a decade.

Kevin Nash (of "thought he was dead lol" fame) was interviewed. I like that he put over NXT and The Shield.

Ricardo Rodriguez is eligible to return to WWE on 8/2. I hope this is the last time that he gets suspended.

Here is part of a recent Chris Sabin interview. He's right that there have been a lot of times where people have thought that TNA was going to go out of business. The current situation's concerning nonetheless.

There is reportedly no truth to the "Stacy Keibler returning to WWE" rumors, as the two sides aren't in contact. Not really sure how they got started.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. I can't find any matches for him since I've been born! Maybe he flew into the Bermuda Triangle or something.

Nothing to add to 2.

3. I can see why they're doing what they're doing, because there are fans (and wrestlers) who have that opinion of Bryan. If anything, it makes it more impressive when Bryan does succeed because he's got the establishment against him!

4. There's no telling! Hell, TNA did have all of that at points (and they have some of it now). Part of how TNA got their TV deal was acquiring the likes of Sting, Angle, etc., and I'm sure that some fans tuned in because they had/have some of those names. As for whether WWE will ever be overtaken, you never know. I certainly don't see it happening in the near future, but "never" is quite a long time.

The only thing to add to 5 is that he tried to make it into WWE through the latest "Tough Enough" but it didn't happen. I'm glad TNA picked him up for sure.

More wrestling tomorrow.
