GLOW launch date announced, another Impact name out?, WWE name coming back from injury soon, Sonjay update, Gable gets press, Interviews with Anthem head/Galloway/Show, Hardys out, Cody-Impact update, new Impact show online, Owens DVD coming, Smackdown audience, WWE star leaves company, Rusev's new look, and Questions on Katz's wrestling endeavors, Rock-Punk-WWE, WWE's use of Gail, remembering Koloff, and Show vs. Strowman

Netflix's GLOW series got a brief teaser. It should be a pretty interesting series.

- Netflix later confirmed Season 1 will hit the service on June 23. It's possible the success or failure of this series will affect any pans for future wrestling content, so I'm sure LU and the like are keeping an eye on how this goes.

Jade's Impact contract has expired. The company is looking to get everyone working the upcoming tapings signed to deals, so we should have an indication really soon of whether she's staying or leaving. She's definitely been a hard worker for the Knockouts division and could be valuable wherever she ends up. She should certainly be on WWE's radar given her work the past few years.

Erick Rowan is expected back soon. That has big implications for the current WWE Title feud. Where will he fit into the disintegrating Wyatt Family? I'd actually like to see him try to mend fences and bring them back together, only to be unsuccessful. Bray could more or less betray him and he could be part of a face team with Harper. It's pretty much inevitable he'll be paired with either Bray or Luke in a lot of tag matches going forward.

Sonjay Dutt worked as a guest trainer at the WWEPC again. That has interesting implications for someone who's on the radar for ROH and almost certainly Impact. It's good for him to have options of what he wants to do going forward.

Chad Gable got press before Smackdown in his home state. Glad to see him succeeding. He and Jordan are a lot of fun as a team.

Anthem's owner discussed buying Impact and more:
- Hahahahaha "obscure wrestling company." Fucking BURIED.

- It makes sense to want to own your own content. It's much less of a headache that way.

- Oh my God. Are they really going to call it Anthem Wrestling Exhibitions? That's a terrible name. I'd be OK with Anthem Wrestling Entertainment if they want to keep the AWE name.

- Interesting. Having Corgan back could be good, but I don't know how he'd play with the Jarrett regime.

Matt and Jeff Hardy are now legally free agents after their Impact deals expired. It's expected they will return the physical championship belts to the company, but they won't be losing them in a match at this week's TV tapings.

Cody will only be working one date at the Impact tapings, wrestling Moose. That could be the last time we see him in Impact. Whether Brandi will end up leaving with him remains to be seen.

A new Impact Legends PPV has debuted on the Fite App, showcasing past World Title matches. Of course, a number of current WWE/NXT names are featured on the release.

A Kevin Owens DVD is coming in July. I'm sure we'll see plenty of him destroying Sami Zayn on that release.

Smackdown drew 2.57 million viewers this week, down from last week. That's unfortunate given the implications the show had for the Wrestlemania main event.

Drew Galloway discussed leaving Impact:
- Man, they REALLY blew it by not getting things in order soon enough to sign him.

- I don't blame Drew wanting to be in charge of his own schedule for a while. We'll see how important that is vs. the kind of money WWE can offer. The UK's increased importance bodes well in that regard, as well as how he's reinvented himself since leaving WWE.

- He's got a lot of options, which is a great position to be in.

Jack Swagger has announced his departure from WWE. He asked for and received his release after his career stalled. I can't say I blame him for wanting to get out of a stagnant environment where he wasn't really being used. There's speculation he'll join the former Zeb Colter in Impact, which I would be all for given how entertaining they were together in WWE. Even if Dutch remains backstage, Jack could contribute on-screen as a top player.

Rusev now has short hair. I really hope he approved that with WWE since they've got action figures and video games that will have to be updated in the future. I think his previous look really accentuated him as a beast; we'll see how things will go with his new look.

Big Show talked about WM33 and more:
- WWE without Show will be weird. He's been such a visible presence from a PR standpoint.

- WWE will definitely need a backup plan for Show at Mania. I wouldn't mind Joe making an example of him there.

- From the sound of things, Show could stick around on a Legends deal like Lawler, Booker, etc.

- Hahahahahahaah Show taking the piss out of his turns got me.

- Show being able to be in a lot of roles is good for him.

- YES. Big guys need to work like big guys most of the time. That doesn't mean they have to be slow, but something like a dropkick needs to be saved for an OMG moment.

-  I like his attitude of being used to get the newer names over. That's the right move.

- Show vs. Shaq would definitely be a big spectacle, what could be Show's last.

- They've got to have Show on the card at WM33 in some way, even if it's just in the Andre battle royal.

- HAHAHAHA Show has the knockout punch, too. So that's four moves. That's all he needs to be successful, though.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. That makes me wonder how likely it is that Katz's other wrestling ventures get off the ground.

2. WWE got buzz, but not for reasons they want. They're probably not thrilled to be promoting Paige, much less C.M. Punk. But, they like having Rock around, so they're working with him. I don't see anything changing between WWE and Punk anytime soon. Punk is focused on MMA and WWE is focused on other matters.

3. WWE went through a phase where "workrate" wasn't important with the women because they were just a sideshow to the men. Impact has always let Gail be a top athlete/wrestler. As for wrestlers at Gail's level, I'm going with Mickie James, Beth Phoenix, and Jacqueline more or less off the top of my head.

4. Mainstream news sources have a lot of important stuff to cover that deserves a lot of time and space. I do agree WWE should have done more for Koloff, but Koloff was part of a big legal battle with them, and that never bodes well.

5. I'm very glad others share this viewpoint. I'm usually one of the few IWC members who enjoys the occasional big spectacle match.

More wrestling tomorrow.
