Read on for how I'd book tonight's show.
- Tozawa/Swann vs. Kendrick/Noam:
Babyfaces win to start the show with a good feeling/warm the crowd up.
- Neville vs. Gallagher:
The King retains. Neville vs. Aries at Wrestlemania in what should be a really big feud.
- Sasha vs. Nia:
Nia wins. Sasha's great, but Nia's unstoppable.
- Charlotte vs. Bayley:
Charlotte wins again to keep her PPV streak alive in order to kill it at Mania so we can get some variety in the title picture. Bayley is owed a rematch, Nia should gun for the champ after beating Sasha, and Sasha can beat a cocky Nia on Raw to make it a four-way at WM33.
- Club vs. Enzo/Cass:
I was all set to have the Club win in order to face the Hardys, but it looks like that plan's out the window for now (more on that later). I'd still have them win. I'd like to see them have a leader to play off, but no one really fits the bill.
- Joe vs. Zayn:
Joe brutalizes Sami to send a message to Rollins, earning another win.
- Roman vs. Braun:
This one turns into an absolutely wild affair. Roman wins by the skin of his teeth, but Braun destroys him after the match. Strowman goes on to kill everyone and anyone in the Andre battle royal. Roman needs this to look like a threat to Taker for WM33.
- Owens vs. Goldberg:
Owens shows he's been watching WWE Network. He pulls a Scott Hall and incapacitates Goldberg with a Taser. DQ finish. I wholly expect Goldberg to beat him in under a minute, but that's why it's called fantasy booking. Brock vs. Goldberg doesn't need the title. Jericho returns on Raw to confront a gloating Owens, and we're off to the races for WM33. Owens costs Y2J the title in a match with Zayn, so Zayn vs. Rusev is the U.S. Title match. I wouldn't mind Owens/Y2J being for both titles, but I'd like to reward Sami and Rusev for their work instead of throwing them in the "Braun destroys everyone" match.
