Interview with Mojo, Jarrett on Impact+GFW's futures and recent departures, Impact recruiting new talents, Asuka set for more main roster shows, another NXT taping set, CW Anderson responds to Heyman's tirade, HoFer at Raw, former WCW name gets press, Raw audience, two more high-profile Impact departures, and Questions on Rock getting heat for calling Punk, Smackdown not being like Raw, WWE's big announce teams, Rock's crew at Raw, and Sasha vs. Stephanie

Mojo Rawley talked before a Smackdown live event this weekend. I think he's got a good future ahead of him; there must be people in WWE high on him for him to be getting the exposure and chances he's getting.

Jeff Jarrett hyped the future of Impact and GFW. He definitely needs to rally the troops for the new regime given the big departures. It's entirely possible we see crossover between Impact and GFW going forward, and Impact continues to seek a TV deal for the UK.

Impact is on the hunt for younger, perhaps undiscovered talents. They're going to pretty much have to go that route. One upside of the big departures is money being available for more hirings.

Asuka is scheduled for Smackdown live events on March 13, 25, 26, and 27, so it's very possible she'll be called to the main roster after WM33. She's definitely ready for it.

NXT will tape from Full Sail on April 19. I'm curious to see what the brand will look like after Mania week.

C.W. Anderson responded to Paul Heyman's burial of him:
- Either Heyman hadn't seen those earlier interviews or this most recent one was the straw that broke the camel's back.

- I'm glad there's not going to be a big social media war. Not that I think Heyman would sustain one; he's got a lot more on his plate.

- I'm sure a lot of why CW is interviewed is for his take on ECW and Heyman.

- ECW wasn't necessarily managed well from a pay standpoint. Downside guarantees have been a great benefit to the workers. That way, pay doesn't depend on if you're booked.

- People definitely wanted to be loyal to the phenomenon that was ECW, even if it didn't make financial sense. Of course, some names weren't going to be picked up by WCW or WWE and ECW was their best chance to make some money in the business.

- Heyman has been accused of being a flatterer. If he thought Anderson was going to leave or wasn't putting in work, it's possible Paul spoke highly of him in order to keep CW around.

- As I said, I'm guessing Heyman responded this time because it was the straw that broke the camel's back, i.e. one interview too many for him not to fight back.

- There were definitely people left in the dark about the true state of ECW's finances at the end.

Ric Flair was backstage at Raw. It's possible he was considered to be part of the show, but ultimately not featured.

WCW's Rocky King was featured on TV after giving back to his community. Good to see him help out like that.

Jeff Jarrett issued a statement about The Hardys and Drew Galloway leaving Impact. As it's been split into four tweets, I'll transcribe it:

(1)For the record, it's @IMPACTWRESTLING 's corporate policy not to make any comments on talent contractual matters.... (2) I personally wish nothing but continued success for @JEFFHARDYBRAND @MATTHARDYBRAND @GallowaySpeaks . All three of them are fantastic... (3) talent and wherever they land they will obviously do very well. Wrestling business can be tough at times, but one thing is for sure... (4)...the business is ALWAYS changing! Ready for @UniversalORL and can't wait for Thursday!

- (#MIGA is Make Impact Great Again) Things are definitely going to be very different in a number of key ways going forward. Jarrett and his team have an uphill battle turning things around. It's important to note positive results won't be immediate. It's going to take time for new names to be made into stars, etc. Hopefully their big gambles pay off.

Raw drew 3.09 million viewers, a soft number for Goldberg appearing before his first world championship match in well more than a decade.

Mike Bennett and Maria have left Impact Wrestling, making two more top talents who won't be part of the next set of tapings. They were working on a per appearance basis since their deals ended near the end of 2016. Impact had attempted to sign them to new full-time contracts, but were informed the pair would not be returning to the company. There's no word of them being offered contracts elsewhere, but it's certainly possible they're either back on ROH's radar or coming to WWE/NXT. The Bennetts were close to members of the Corgan regime, and with those days gone, they apparently decided not to continue working for Impact. I believe Maria's going to go for an advanced degree in the fall, so Mike could end up a singles act before much longer.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. WWE gives guys like Rock and Lesnar a lot of leeway because they're so valuable to WWE's bottom line and don't need the money/exposure. Either could bail and be set for life. Unless Rock says or does something that gets negative attention outside of wrestling press, I think he's pretty safe.

2. It does seem like Vince is letting Smackdown experiment a little more. I wouldn't read TOO much into that as far as him looking to hand it off completely or anything, but he is cognizant of the fact WWE will have to go on without him at some point.

3. WWE wants a third person to do all the promotional work they want to get across. It's not just about the match, but the event coming up on WWE Network, etc., etc. As for NXT's team, I think Nigel is more or less "on loan" until the UK series gets off the ground, so they're not cutting him. Someone must have recommended Percy as someone who would be a good talker who could add the wrestler's perspective to things once Nigel moves on.

4. I'm assuming the people who shot the scene work for his new production company.

5. I'd definitely like to see Sasha and/or Bayley stand up to Steph at some point. She could really be used to put the talents over, but she's often booked to be more important than they are.

More wrestling tomorrow.
