Hardys-Anthem updates, more on Hardys' future, WWE women returning at Mania?, Mauro updates, Impact puts partners over, meet the new LAX, WM33 promotion, Cena's show gets season 2 premiere date, Smackdown heading to Latin America, WWE debuting in new country, WM33 dream match pitch, ECW champion at WWEPC, Alberto missing convention appearance, WWE licensing ROH footage?, SCOH XI notes, WWE conference call set, WOS tapings set, Kane makes moves in politics, and Questions on Lemmy in the HoF, leaked explicit material, Styles' Mania spot, and three hour wrestling shows

Before Impact and the Hardys had their falling out, there were plans for the Young Bucks to work Impact as part of the two teams' feud. Both teams would have been working both promotions. Even after the Hardys left, there was a chance the Bucks could have worked Impact before the legal issues between Anthem and ROH. All of that could have been big for both companies, but things went south and now the Hardys and Bucks could be finishing their business next weekend.

There's speculation the Hardys will face the Usos at WM33 in a big surprise bout given the recent title change. That would definitely be quite the event, and Smackdown could use those two to add to the show with fewer big "name" talents.

Summer Rae and/or Tamina could be coming to Smackdown as part of the upcoming women's title match, and some names from the past (Kelly Kelly, Lita, Victoria, and Maria) are also rumored to be working that bout. The Smackdown women's division could be really growing soon, which would be good as they can only do so much with the number of names they have now.

Mauro Ranallo is reportedly resting up due to an unspecified illness. I really, really hope he's OK given his public history of bipolar disorder.

- Ranallo addressed his recent absence. I really hope he comes out of this well. Bipolar disorder is a very trying condition.

Anthem Media is editing footage of the "Broken Universe" on Impact Wrestling to claim ownership of its associated trademarks. I get why they want credit for cultivating the Hardys, but if it's not in Matt and Jeff's contracts, they're out of luck in that regard. Even if they are legally in the right, they're coming across as the villains for preventing a very popular act from blossoming. It's very much a case of cutting off your nose to spite your face.

Impact put forth footage of visiting AAA. Anthem and the Jarrett regime really want Impact to be more global going forward.

LAX's new members will be known as Santana, Ortiz, and Diamante. I'm not crazy about them each just having one name, although that fits the theme of previous members.

Jeff Jarrett put over working with other promotions: Tweet 1 Tweet 2 Tweet 3. Impact bringing back Jarrett and his crew, with their deep connections, was the right move. The brand really needed/needs some fresh faces.

For Wrestlemania 33 promotion, John Cena was on Jimmy Fallon, Big Show was on Conan, and Shane McMahon and DDP were on SportsCenter.

John Cena's "American Grit" will debut season two on June 11. If it's picked up for a third season, that's more time John will presumably miss from the ring.

Smackdown will run the following dates in Latin America:
- June 8 in Puerto Rico
- June 10 in Panama
- June 11 in Costa Rica
- October 21 in Argentina, where the company has never previously run.
-- That's all great! WWE is really looking to grow business south of the U.S., potentially setting up something similar to what they're building in the UK.

Triple H put over NXT's influence on this year's Wrestlemania:
- There have been quite a few HHH signings popping up in the last few years, really changing the complexion of WWE.
- It's weird people still complain about WWE pushing the same old names given how many fresh names have been in world title matches in the last five years.
- I expect HHH to compete at Mania for at least the next several years. Vince relies on him as one o the few active "names" left who were champions/top guys in previous eras. With guys like Henry, Show, and Kane winding down, Vince likes having someone like HHH to count on.

WWE offered Shawn Michaels a match at Wrestlemania against AJ Styles, but he turned it down. I'm sure Michaels can still "go," but there's the whole issue of another part-timer getting a big Mania match and him already having retired. It could definitely have been a big nod for AJ and put him further on the map (let's be honest, Shawn coming out of retirement to face AJ means a LOT more than wrestling in the Tokyo Dome).

Jerry Lynn is working at the WWE Performance Center as a guest trainer this week. THat's pretty cool. WWE's really bringing in a lot of seasoned names to pass knowledge to the developmental performers.

Alberto El Patron pulled out of Wrestlecon this weekend due to private explicit material of Paige being released publicly recently. I can't say I blame him for staying home with her after such an invasion of her personal life.

WWE and ROH are reportedly in discussions for ROH content to air on WWE Network alongside PROGRESS and ICW, with ROH's weekly TV show appearing there in addition to Comet TV, local TV stations, and the Fite app. The two sides are also said to be discussing ROH content being licensed for future DVD releases of ROH alumni like Seth Rollins and Samoa Joe. That would be pretty big for both sides. WWE airing footage from UK promotions is one thing, but featuring a company in direct competition with WWE (particularly NXT and 205 Live) is virtually unprecedented. WWE clearly wants to expand their base on WWE Network, and it's possible they see ROH as a place where their future stars will come from, so they're willing to work with the company. WWE continues to surprise in their approaches to growing their audience.

Supercard of Honor XI is expected to feature ROH's highest attendance since being bought by Sinclair. That's almost definitely largely due to the Hardys appearing. Still a big milestone!

Added to SCOH XI:
- Frankie Kazarian vs. Punishment Martinez
- Matt Taven/Vinny Marseglia vs. Silas Young/Beer City Bruiser
-- Wow. Kazarian's not really doing much for a guy involved in the main event of the last PPV. Also, why isn't Punishment facing BJ? For that matter, where is BJ on this show? I hope he at least makes a run-in.

Supercard of Honor XI will air as an iPPV on ROHwrestling.com and the Fite app. That's good, as it's quite a big show for them.

WWE will broadcast a conference call the day after Wrestlemania, giving updated Network numbers and more. I'm sure it will be a lot of putting the company over and answering a few business questions.

The World of Sport revival will hold its first tapings from May 25 through May 27. Anthem and Impact are involved with the project, so there will likely be crossover going forward.

Kane has filed paperwork to run for mayor in his hometown, and has named a campaign treasurer. The election will be held May 1, 2018. It appears working on this endeavor is why we haven't seen him in WWE in months. He's still part of the company, but is clearly planning more of his life outside of wrestling.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. I would absolutely like to see Lemmy inducted at some point. He's one of the most deserving celebrities they could put in the Hall.

2. Important to note that none of the people involved here made the footage in question for public consumption, and they didn't do the things they did as WWE superstars, but in their private lives. Hogan's issue got a lot more negative press, and it put WWE in the public eye for longer. That's likely the biggest difference.

3. AJ's actually in a feud with Shane, and a LOT more people know who Shane is than Balor or Nakamura. While I'm sure Styles vs. Balor or Styles vs. Nakamura could be a "****+" match, that's not nearly as important as drawing a large audience. This is a much bigger stage for AJ than it would be facing those names.

4. Presumably that's a pretty good middle ground between too short and too long, which makes WM33 quite the long haul.

Nothing to add to 5.

More wrestling tomorrow.
