Impact signing made official, Shaq back in the running, Impact-Spike update, Hardys and new match for ROH PPV, Bully-ROH update and new gig, new HoFer announced, Y2J charity, Summerslam travel packages, Cena talks video games, more WWE-Tapout press, Xavier gets to plus new game, ROH hitting Roku, Impact spoils big debut, Broken trademark, Punk trends on Twitter, WWE PPV announced, Shane at MSG, new WWE mobile game coming, Smackdown live event notes, and Questions on Impact running WM33 week, Rock not appearing on Raw, DCC's future, Impact's new UK deal, and Balor's WM33 status

Kevin Matthews has signed a two-year deal with Impact Wrestling. There will be a LOT of new and returning faces on the show in the upcoming weeks and months.

Shaquille O'Neal is back in discussions to face Big Show at WM33. I'm fine with an attraction match here and there. If it happens, great. If not, Show can do the job to Braun in the Andre battle royal.

Spike TV executive Scott Fishman was at this week's Impact tapings, talking to Jeff Jarrett. However, this was a personal visit and Spike is in no negotiations to bring Impact back to their network. Fishman lives in Orlando and has visited at Impact before. It's worth noting Spike will be rebranding to The Paramount Network later this year, so they could be in for some changes.

The Hardys have been added to ROH's 15th anniversary show, but their roles haven't been announced yet. Presumably they'll have a title match, but against whom?

Young Bucks vs. Roppongi Vice in a Las Vegas streetfight has been added to ROH's 15th anniversary show. The Bucks will get their rematch with the Hardys during WM33 weekend. Hypothetically the Hardys could lose their title before then, but I don't see it happening.

Bully Ray had been talking to ROH for some time. So, he did choose them over a deal at Impact Wrestling. ROH will be his priority; this isn't just a case of him coming in to work a few matches. I'm glad he'll be around as a veteran hand working a fresh batch of opponents. ROH could use a new credible worker.

- Bully will also be making regular appearances on "Busted Open" on SiriusXM. So, he's still doing pretty well for himself without D-Von. No retirement anytime soon.

WWE has announced "Ravishing" Rick Rude for this year's Hall of Fame class. He has been one of the biggest omissions from the Hall, so it's good to see him being honored.

Chris Jericho is fundraising for juvenile diabetes research. That's great! He has a deal that lets him do merchandise independent of WWE.

WWE is now selling travel packages for Summerslam. I wonder what part-timers will be in action then.

John Cena talked video games for GQ. Great to see him have that kind of reach. I can only imagine what WWE names think of being in a video game and having awful stats, or not making the cut at all. One of my favorite wrestling stories ever is Stevie Richards, an avid gamer, playing Kane as themselves in a game and Kane beating him.

WWE talents are doing photo shoots for Tapout's spring collection. It's weird to see those two properties associated after Tapout's association with the stereotypical WWE-hating UFC fan.

Xavier Woods will get to announce a new character for Injustice 2. That's pretty cool. I2 is made from the same people who made WWE Immortals.

Comet TV has been added as a free channel on Roku, so those with that service can watch ROH TV that way. It's good to be available across a lot of platforms.

Impact Wrestling spoiled a big debut for tomorrow night with a teaser for their new opening video. Jarrett and company hit the ground running with talent debuts/returns at these tapings, and more are likely on the way.

Matt Hardy trademarked "Broken Matt Hardy," presumably so Impact didn't try to. I really hope Impact wouldn't be that petty. The two sides have split. It's time for both of them to move on to their next steps.

C.M. Punk trended online after about 400,000 chants for him during Raw from Chicago. I wonder if Stephanie responding to them only encouraged fans to keep them going. It's the new "You Screwed Bret" apparently. I don't expect there to be any reconciliation between Punk and WWE anytime soon. The lawsuit with Dr. Amann is still ongoing, and Punk is continuing to pursue another bout in UFC if not elsewhere.

Smackdown's Backlash PPV will be on May 21 in Illinois. That's a really quick turnaround to Chi-Town.

There were no dark matches or segments after Raw, which is a little surprising. I guess they wanted the big moment with Taker to close the taping.

Shane McMahon promoted WWE's upcoming live event in MSG during an NBA game. Shane will be part of it.

WWE has trademarked the name Tapmania for a mobile game. I can only imagine what that will be like.

Mickie James returned to WWE live events this weekend after seven years.

Randy Orton is working as a face on Smackdown live events, so that turn's official.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. There was talk of them doing a show Mania week at one point, but I don't know if it's going to happen now. They're doing a lot of rebuilding, and I don't think they're ready to do an untelevised event right now. They definitely don't want to do TV tapings when so much else is going on in the area.

2. I almost said something about WWE not wanting to take away from the regular stories, but I wholly expect they'd move over someone(s) lower on the card so Rock could have a 15-minute segment. He must have just wanted to be there to film rather than be WWE superstar The Rock.

3. I'm guessing Jarrett's not a fan of the gimmick. Expect some changes with the group going forward; Impact is definitely taking some new directions on TV in the weeks and months ahead.

4. I do wonder how it all ended up coming together, as it definitely seemed like they were in trouble in the UK market before Anthem came on board.

5. I can see Balor being involved with the HHH/Joe/Rollins angle. I wouldn't rule out a surprise appearance at WM33 to save Rollins from HHH and Joe. Or, as alluded to, Balor could face Joe that night. I wouldn't mind saving him for the night after Mania since we're so close to the big PPV. It could be tough to put him in the title picture with Goldberg or Brock walking out of WM33 with the belt. I expect the winner of that to be challenged by Kurt Angle.

More wrestling tomorrow.
