ROH name signs deal, Japanese star retiring, WWE celebrates holiday, Crockett Cup notes, potential MLW hire, Raw audience, SDL dark match, AEW hires UK name, and Questions on Jay White, AEW working agreements, Nia being unsafe, Ambrose having a no-compete clause, and Y2J as an all-time great

ROH has signed Brian Milonas to a new contract.

Kris Wolf is setting up her final U.S. tour as she plans to retire due to concussion issues. Wolf will work all announced dates, including upcoming events with Bar Wrestling and RISE/SHIMMER.

WWE celebrated Chinese New Year.

NWA's Crockett Cup event will feature Jim Cornette, The Rock 'N' Roll Express, Magnum TA, Nikita Koloff, and the Midnight Express.

- Cornette, Ian Riccaboni, and Joe Galli will do commentary for the event. It's expected to air on Fite.

- Teams from Japan and Mexico will be added to the event. I would think ROH would coordinate that with CMLL and NJPW.

MLW has used Davey Boy Smith's daughter Georgia as a backstage interviewer, but there's no word if she'll be a regular for the promotion.

Raw drew 2.51 million viewers Monday, pretty much what they usually do.

Before Smackdown Live, Heavy Machinery defeated SAnitY's Eric Young and Alexander Wolfe. Killian Dain was at ringside. WWE is really missing the boat with SAnitY.

AEW has picked up UK star Jimmy Havoc, who will also be working MLW.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. I'm not nearly familiar enough with NJPW to answer this, and I haven't seen much of White.

2. They will be working with other companies, but ROH isn't likely to be among them since they're competing to sign the same talent. NJPW is still taking a cautious approach as far as AEW is concerned. Certain talent might be able to work both NJPW and AEW, but the two sides aren't working together at this time. I expect AEW will announce more company partnerships at the upcoming rally, following in the footsteps of China's OWE.

3. Truth wasn't injured; he didn't miss a single show. He just felt she hit him harder than the spot required. Nia is notably less experienced than some of her peers, so that plays into it. WWE and Nia could definitely make efforts to be more careful if need be. Unless something's particularly egregious, I wouldn't expect a "receipt."

4. The no-compete clause is part of the contract and takes effect when someone is released from it. Since his contract is expiring, it doesn't apply. So, yes, he can appear elsewhere as soon as it's up. I would be surprised to see him go to ROH, but Double or Nothing seems like a decent possibility if he's looking for another chapter to his career.

5. Honestly I think that's coming from younger/newer fans. Each generation sees its stars as among the best. It happens in other sports and genres, too.

More wrestling tomorrow.
