Another DDP interview, more Taker/HBK appearances, Piper interview, Canadian Raw ratings, Questions on Miz's heat, Shamrock, and Bryan, angle at WWE press conference, Rock interviews, Matt Hardy updates, Koloff autobiography out, Hogan and Samoa Joe interviews, and an FCW performer gets an official name

Diamond Dallas Page was interviewed again. Nice read. I hope that YRG works out for more people who can still add to the business.

Shawn Michaels and The Undertaker are advertised for the 3/12 Raw taping, so expect more of them as we head towards WrestleMania.

"Rowdy" Roddy Piper was interviewed as we head closer to WrestleMania. Hot Rod's high octane all the time. I'd love to see a Cena/Rock Piper's Pit. Or Ziggler/Foley for that matter. Or maybe Cody Rhodes?

An article about the Super Bowl's rating in Canada mentioned viewership numbers for a recent Raw. Without more data, it's tough to judge how good or bad that is. I'm glad Nielsen does things in percentages.

For my take on PWInsider.com's questions:
There's nothing to add to 1, so after the break, I'll move to a question about the heat Miz currently has in WWE. Then, I go into the rest of the day's news and questions.

2. I also think he'll remain a part of the company. Kennedy had dealt with a number of similar issues in the past, combined with a poor attitude, injuries, and at least one Wellness violation. Miz, on the other hand, hasn't had anything like that going against him in quite some time, so I think he'll survive if he stays on his toes from ehre on out.

3. I also don't remember any UFC or Octagon references.

4. That was sadly a little before the time I started watching. I do love the over-the-top celebrations, though.

Nothing to add to 5, so I'll go to the rest of the day's news.

WWE had a press conference in Dubai ahead of their house show in the UAE. It concluded with John Cena putting Kane through the table with an Attitude Adjustment. Somewhat cheesy, but entertaining in its own right. You don't see that in your typical press conference.

Update: there were also interviews conducted there.

The Rock conducted a number of interviews where wrestling came up:
CBS News Fox in Washington DC ESPN Mashable Chicago Tribune
Impressive list. Hopefully this all leads to big business for WWE and wrestling in general.

Matt Hardy talked about his future in wrestling and more. Good insights.

Nikita Koloff's autobiography is officially out. Here's the blurb.

Hulk Hogan talked about his standing in the wrestling world and personal issues. He's certainly had much worse appearances.

Samoa Joe was interviewed a number of times going into Against All Odds:
Scripps Guru SLAM!
I like his newfound motivation. Maybe his career can get back on track now.

Finally, former Lingerie Football League player Danielle Moinet has been rechristened "Summer Rae" in FCW. Someone's a fan of puns there.

That's all for Thursday's news. More to come tomorrow. Thanks for reading!
