TNA Against All Odds preview

Tonight, TNA puts on its latest 8-match card, with 4 title matches. With a number of top stars in action, this could be a big night if TNA plays things right. Read on for how I'd book the show.

TNA announced that Robbie E would compete tonight in an open challenge, so we could be in for a big return or debut. Since I don't know where they're going with that or what they have up their sleeves, I can't really do much in the way of fantasy booking. I won't set my hopes too high, as it could just be Ronnie from Jersey Shore or something.

For the other announced matches:
Alex Shelley puts up a good effort, but just as he looks like he's about to win the title, Aries hits a low blow to retain by DQ.

In a related note, Jesse Sorensen surprises Zema Ion when he gets too cocky. Aries vs. Sorensen next month for the title. Shelley and Ion are both ticked at the results of their matches, so they feud going into that PPV as well. Depending on how well Sorensen and Ion do in the next month or so, I'd either do Aries vs. Shelley one-on-one at Lockdown or a 4-way.

Matt Morgan, Crimson, Joe, and Magnus bring their all until Morgan and Crimson intentionally "injure" Magnus to set up for a win. Morgan pins him while Crimson keeps Joe occupied at ringside. Joe vows revenge as the champs leave with the title. Street Fight next month, where we get new champs leading to a cage match to settle everything at Lockdown.

Gail Kim retains as TNA shows what women's wrestling can be. Tessmacher gets the next shot as Gail's arrogance grows. She'll eventually say that there are no challengers left to her, and treat Madison like a lackey instead of a competitor. Gail vs. Madison penciled in for Lockdown.

Kazarian tries to best Styles, but keeps getting counter-wrestled. Daniels yells at him, which only makes things worse. Eventually Kazarian throws Daniels into the ring to be taken out by Styles. I'd strongly consider eventually doing some kind of Loser Leaves TNA match with either Kazarian or Daniels leaving the company (if not both), as they've really run their course as characters. They're doing pretty much the same thing they've been doing since I started watching TNA near the end of 2004. They need some kind of reboot or at least a break from the stale monotony.

Garett Bischoff gets a roll-up victory over Gunner, who's distracted by Hogan and Bischoff at ringside. Yeah, I'm not thrilled with any of this either, but they might as well get everything they can out of it.

Mr. Anderson interferes in the main event, attacking Jeff Hardy after Bobby Roode punches out Sting. Anderson's ticked that Hardy's getting another chance after his failings going into the first Victory Road since "that match". Roode vs. Sting and Storm vs. Bully Ray then (leading to Storm vs. Roode at Lockdown, since those two should be the focus of the company).

That's how I'd put the show together. I'll be back with coverage of the real thing, and all the day's news tonight. Thanks for reading!
