More Punk-Brown press, JR talks Mania, Mr.Punk interview, Pec-Tacular update, Questions on Morrison-WWE, Cole, Smackdown rating, Natalya blogs, Gangrel talks about a rib Vince played on Donald Trump, NFL player in TNA full-time?

Here's video of C.M. Punk on "Showbiz Tonight", addressing the Chris Brown situation. Punk choking him out would be worth the price of WrestleMania in of itself.

Jim Ross talked about wrestling and WrestleMania, specifically John Cena's promo. That was indeed a very genuine moment from him. He understands about connecting with the audience being the end-all, be-all of the business. I wish more did.

C.M. Punk was interviewed. Very ballsy, intelligent guy. A pretty must-listen interview from a very one-of-a-kind performer. I'd love to hear more from him.

TNA developmental performer Jessie Godderz is said to be on his way to the main roster in 2012. I hope he's worth all the hype.

As for my take on Thursday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. They were certainly interested in doing that at one point, but the longer it goes without happening, the less likely I'd say it is. He's apparently branching out from wrestling for at least a bit, so I wouldn't assume he'd be with either promotion by year's end.

Nothing to add to 2, so I'll move on to 3 (and the rest of the day's news and questions) after the break. Next up, silencing Michael Cole.

3. I don't blame Cole as much as the overall direction from backstage on what a commentator should be. As long as King and Booker are still there, and we still have to hear about Twitter, that's only part of the problem solved.

There's really nothing to add to 4 or 5, so I'll go into other things:

This week's live Smackdown did a 1.7 rating, considerably lower than what they've been getting on Fridays. Live Tuesday shows generally do a good deal better than the taped Friday ones, so this is very mind-boggling.

Natalya blogged on her history with Beth Phoenix and more. Smart, talented performer.

The Score showed a clip from an interview with Gangrel about a rib he was a part of involving Donald Trump.

Following his appearances on Impact Wrestling, the NFL's Brandon Jacobs is apparently talking with Dixie Carter about having a career in TNA after his run as a football player. I'll believe it when I see it.

That's all for the non-financial news from Thursday. More to come tonight. A post on WWE's Q4 2011 earnings will be up during today as well. Thanks for reading!
