Del Rio takes shots at Miz, Questions on Shane McMahon, Brian Kendrick, Impact positioning, and Laurinaitis wrestling, WM29 announcement upcoming?, Raw house show note, NFL player to be on Impact, and a Stephanie (McMahon) Levesque interview

Alberto Del Rio gave an interview ahead of his return to the ring for WWE. Pretty fun stuff, even the shots at Miz. I just hope we're not going to be hearing any stories of backstage fights stemming from this. Both men should have bright futures in the company if they don't throw it away by doing something like that.

PWInsider.com had some new questions for Saturday:
1. While I get queries about him returning pretty often, other than that he barely gets mentioned outside of popping up at the golf event some months back or when someone mentions him in an interview like HHH did. Even if he did work with his mother's campaign (which I haven't seen anything about), that's being run independent of WWE.

Nothing to add to 2, so after the break I jump to a question on where Brian Kendrick is, followed by the rest of the day's news and questions.

3. I don't think I've seen anything on him in a while. Apparently he hasn't been used in a number of months, even on house shows. He might just be "lost in the shuffle" as Management wants to use different people for the time being. Hopefully it's a sign that he'll have a different gimmick when/if he comes back, as I think the "spaced out" promos and mannerisms had really run their course.

4. It's tough to say. You do want to space the big matches out so the fans don't get drained, but with a show that had that many big things, something was going to have to give for the show's "flow" to work and the biggest matches to be at the "right places". I didn't find any reason to complain when watching it, so it wasn't egregious.

5. Laurinaitis actually had a pretty lengthy run in Japan. Either way, I think we'll eventually see him wrestle at least once. Given how many times commentators have competed lately, and a number of other authority figures have done it, the odds are pretty good.

An official announcement on the location of WrestleMania 29 could be coming as soon as Wednesday. The frontrunner was said to be East Rutherford, NJ with AXXESS events in New York City.

Michael McGillicutty worked as a face again at the most recent house show in the UAE. We'll see if anything comes of it on-screen in the weeks to come.

Jason Pierre-Paul of the New York Giants will make an appearance on Thursday's Impact Wrestling, working with Kurt Angle. I hope that succeeds in getting the press they're after.

Finally, Stephanie McMahon Levesque gave an interview on a number of wrestling topics, including her marriage to Triple H. There were a lot of non-PG statements thrown her way back in the Attitude Era, from fans and wrestlers (on-screen) alike. I can definitely see a LOT of heat going HHH's way for being pushed so heavily while in that position, and the relationship angle had to have been pretty awkward with all the feelings backstage.

That's it for Saturday's news. More to come later in the day, including a preview for Against All Odds. Thanks for reading!
