Query on the Hardys-WWE, Lawler bringing back talk show, Smackdown house show notes including an FCW talent competing, TNA stars promote PPV, Questions on performers with "attitude", Whipwreck, blood, and losing viewers, NFL cameo in TNA nixed, Punk added to live Smackdown, Creative shake-up in TNA?, and injury updates on Jesse Sorensen

Sunday's news begins with a query:
1. It's tough to say what would happen if the Hardys returned to WWE. It should go without saying that what takes place outside the ring would have a pretty big impact on how well or poorly they fared. Matt's pretty banged up, so it doesn't look like he'd be able to do something close to a full-time schedule. He wasn't happy near the end of his run there, so I honestly don't think it would work out for long unless something really changed. I don't know if Jeff's condition would work with a full-time WWE schedule, either. He MIGHT be able to make one last good run there, but I wouldn't say it's a sure thing. Either way, I don't really expect either of them back there any time soon.

Jerry Lawler will resume his role as talk show host in Memphis, interviewing wrestlers of the past and present (including WWE performers) as well as celebrities. Sounds intriguing.

Camacho wrestled a tag team match on Smackdown's 2/11 live event. To the best of my knowledge, that's the first time he's competed as a member of the main roster.

Also on that show, FCW talent Big E Langston defeated Heath Slater after being called as backup by Hornswoggle. As you can probably imagine, he's a sizable guy.

After the break, I go into the rest of the day's news, including PWInsider.com's questions.
Tara and Crimson talked ahead of TNA Against All Odds.

For my take on PWInsider.com's questions:
1. All of those performers were bigger and more physically imposing than Kofi, Ziggler, Rhodes, Bryan, etc. so I see why they're going a different route. While I agree that the young talents aren't (in general) being pushed as high as the part-timers and older talents at times, I'd hardly say they're doing a horrible job. A horrible job is when they're barely getting reactions, and that's not the case here. I don't know what level they consider "young", but I wouldn't say Punk (33), Ziggler (31), Kofi (30), Miz (31), Rhodes (26), Bryan (30), Orton (31), and Barrett (30), are old. All those people are in the title pictures this month. If that's not getting pushed, what on earth is?

Nothing to add to 2, other than I have no idea what he's talking about with the "working against them" part.

3. I don't know much in the way of specifics outside of what they said. I'm also glad we've (mostly) moves away from some of the ridiculous levels of carnage some wrestlers went through to get reactions then.

4. I agree with their thoughts on the matter. No intentional blood. Strong workers don't need that kind of cheap thing to get brutality over.

5. That was an interesting theory, but it doesn't look like it holds water. The disillusioned older fans were more of the culprit, which is interesting in its own right.

NFL player Jason Pierre-Paul has pulled out of his apparently not-finalized TNA appearance, citing exhaustion. So much for that.

C.M. Punk is now being advertised for the 2/21 live Smackdown, which will be in his home state of Illinois.

Former WWE Creative team member Dave Lagana, who is working on the Ring Ka King series for TNA, was backstage assisting with the production of backstage segments at Against All Odds. Some were speculating that he would be a part of TNA's Creative team, but that's not confirmed as the case.

Vince Russo was not present at the event. Some are speculating that he could be on his way out, but nothing's confirmed there either. He's one of the two main script-writers alongside Matt Conway. The cripts then go to the Head of Creative, Bruce Prichard, who is somewhat of an "editor". While Eric Bischoff gives feedback the day of the show, he isn't strictly involved with the day-to-day putting together of the shows. More on this situation as it comes in.

Following a nasty accident during his match with Zema Ion, Jesse Sorensen was taken to the hospital  for testing. A neck injury has been confirmed, but final results aren't in as of this writing. More on this as it comes in as well. That was a pretty scary miscue.

That's all for Sunday's news. More to come tomorrow. Thanks for reading!
