Live crowd segment at Raw involving HHH, Questions on blaming Rock, Mania contract signings, Cena winning at Mania, bad segments, and Rhodes passing HTM, Raw and Smackdown trade GMs next week, Rock's post-Raw promo, Cena meets a survivor, Vader interview, Hemme "wardrobe malfunction", Rock's promo notes, Kendrick talks TNA release, Hardy ill, change in TNA announcing, JBL responds to critics of part-timers, and a Slaughter interview

Following The Miz's loss to John Cena, he demanded an authority figure to come out and give him a match at WrestleMania. Triple H came to the ring, gave him a Pedigree, and did the crotch chop. I guess that could be part of Miz's punishment for not catching R-Truth the other week? Otherwise, I don't know what that really brought to the table.

Update: here's footage.

Here are my responses for PWInsider.com's Tuesday questions:
1. It's hard to argue with that one. I also can't really blame Rock for making a comeback fans have been asking for for years now when he could easily go off and be Dwayne Johnson the actor 100% of the time. So, while I understand the frustration, I think it's at least partially misguided.

2. Who's to say there won't be more than one? Punk/Jericho would indeed be pretty big, but I wouldn't count out Sheamus/Bryan. The other two top matches are so big that something as mundane as a contract signing would cheapen them some in my book.

3. I was going to just say something along the lines of "yes, Cena should win", but if it's handled right, I think a loss could be better for him. That's a BIG if, though. That match result is always going to say that he couldn't get the job done.

After the break, I go into everything else for the day, starting with a question on bad segments.

4. Trish Stratus has said in recent days that the fact that she's getting a character and TV time, no matter how critically derided, is a good thing for her. Other than Trish and the people who book the segments, most people have been pretty negative about her performances and the angle she's involved in.

5. He apparently still has more than 8 months to go to catch Honky, so that might be a little out of reach. It could happen, though. Interesting to note that the next name on the "Honk-a-Meter" for longest single reign as champion is Randy Orton. I kind of hope WWE plays off of that, but I don't count on it. Maybe once he's passed that threshold they can use that as part of a feud with them.

In what should be an interesting experiment, next week's edition of Raw will be "run" by Theodore Long, while next week's edition of Smackdown will be "run" by John Laurinaitis. WWE will use their performances to judge who should run both shows. I'm thinking things won't be settled until some kind of big multi-man match at WrestleMania.

Here's footage of The Rock's post-Raw promo.

WWE touted their Middle East successes. As domestic business continues to be unimpressive, I expect them to do more internationally.

In a touching story, a teenager who was nearly killed when shaken as a baby met his hero John Cena.

Former WCW Champion Vader talked recently. His son currently competes in FCW as Jake Carter.

TNA ring announcer Christy Hemme apparently had a "wardrobe malfunction" at the 2/28 Impact Wrestling taping. I'm sure that some fans wouldn't complain if that was a regular occurrence.

Here are some photos of The Rock's "crib notes" for his promo on Raw. I honestly can't think of a time where someone's been caught doing that. If it was someone not as high up on the totem pole as Rock, I don't think that would go over too well with Management.

Raw did a 3.1 rating off a 3.11 in hour 1 and 3.16 in hour 2. That's very underwhelming given the time of year and the names featured.

Brian Kendrick talked with former WWE (ECW) Diva and TNA Knockout Shelly Martinez, going into character about why he's not in TNA anymore, including a seeming jab at Garett Bischoff. Eh.

Jeff Hardy didn't work the 2/28 Impact Wrestling taping due to an as-yet-undisclosed illness. He's definitely someone TNA wants to have around and make the most of, so the sooner he's back on his feet, the better it is for them.

Taz and Mike Tenay didn't do live commentary at that taping, as the plan is now to add that in post-production. Since the shows are taped at least a number of days before they air, that's a good move to attempt to avoid outdated references.

JBL blogged on Facebook about the resentment in the WWE locker room towards people like The Rock being in big spots at the expense of the more full-time competitors. He makes fair points (though it could be argued that some performers won't get the chance to show if they can succeed while those names are still in the spotlight). The only part of his argument I would contest is the part about creating interest and buzz. I generally defend that, but if it doesn't result in increased revenue for the company in some form at some time, I don't think it should be something they pursue too heavily.

Finally, Sgt. Slaughter talked about assorted Mania in Miami.

That's all for Tuesday's news. More to come tomorrow. Thanks for reading!
