Ryder interview, Matt Hardy court updates, Questions on Taker's hair, Flair, a women's DVD,and Toxxin, match cut from Smackdown, Swagger interview, TNA hype videos, Cena and Rock trade jabs, Z! TLIS #51, Roode and Layla interviews, likely FCW releases, and the Impact Wrestling rating

Zack Ryder was interviewed about the Ryder Revolution. Hopefully he'll continue to be rewarded by the fans and the company for his hard work in getting his character over. And hopefully more young performers will be able to break out of the mold in the year(s) to come in a similar way. Time to make wrestling fun again, and move it past 1998.

Matt Hardy's court cases have been continued to a 3/1 date. I really, really hope he's going to be able to put this kind of thing behind him in 2012 (and beyond).

As for my look at Friday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. That would explain why something seemed off about his hair. Maybe those pictures of him with very short hair were legitimate after all! Weird.

Nothing to add to 2, other than it's no surprise that Henry didn't make it in given his injuries. He's a very tough man to make it as long as he has.

After the break, I go into the rest of the day's news and questions, starting with Ric Flair appearing at the WWE Hall of Fame.

3. I also haven't seen anything legitimate in the way of his contract expiring any time soon. I think Hogan claimed something along the lines that WWE and TNA worked something out, but given the source I'd take that with a grain of salt. That'd be pretty big if true. Either way, Flair's apparently going to be at the event regardless of contract status.

4. Female wrestling and WWE don't exactly go together well. I doubt they'd go with something along those lines given the focus on "Divas" over more serious wrestling. It would be a bit odd for them to link the two eras, especially after dropping the Women's Title.

5. Wow, there are a lot of questions/queries about Neal and Toxxin lately! I think he's likely right in that they'll try to go somewhere together. Since that won't happen in TNA, maybe it will in FCW. That's just speculation at this point, though. I haven't seen anything about either of them since they visited an FCW show not too long ago.

Brodus Clay vs. Heath Slater was left off of the Smackdown broadcast, likely due to timing reasons. I'm ok with that, since they run the risk of overexposing Clay and he'll eventually run out of people to beat in decisive faction (without hurting the person he's beating's credibility too much).

Jack Swagger was interviewed ahead of a Raw live event. He might be someone to watch out for in the main event scene in the years to come.

TNA put out a Before the Bell video on Against All Odds' main event, and a showcase of their UK tour.

WWE is considering putting out PPVs in 3D, possibly as soon as Summerslam. Cool enough, if people will pay for it.

John Cena and The Rock resumed their Twitter back-and-forth. GLAAD's not going to be happy about this.

Zack Ryder's YouTube show recapped its first 50 episodes with its 51st episode on WWE's YouTube channel. Hopefully this gets him further over (especially with fans who haven't seen the earlier episodes) . It's been a fun almost-year with some pretty clever skits.

Bobby Roode promoted TNA live events in both North and South Carolina. Good that he's getting to do so.

Layla talked about WrestleMania being in Miami. Hopefully she's able to come back to wrestle soon.

Four names have been removed from the FCW roster, likely signifying that they are no longer under employment there:
Peter Orlov, better known as Alex Koslov, a Russian wrestler who had competed in AAA, TNA, and ROH. I was curious as to what they'd make of him, but apparently he hadn't won a televised match since 2010 so apparently they weren't incredibly fond of him as someone to push.
Calvin Raines, who was in his second run at FCW, appearing there from 2008-2009 and 2010-2012. A third shot seems unlikely for someone who never even got a dark match.
Marcus Owens, who was also in his second run at FCW, with a run from 2008-2009 and 2010-2012 and also never got a dark match. Not good signs for going further without picking up skills elsewhere.
Leroy Parks, who I can't find anything on as far as history or matches. It's possible that he's just getting a new gimmick or something, as I don't believe he'd been there long.

Finally, Impact Wrestling drew a 1.15 rating on Thursday. That's honestly kind of disappointing given the big matches they had on the show and the reveal of Garett's trainer as Hulk Hogan. Especially following the big tables main event last week.

That's it for Friday's news, which was more work than I anticipated. I'll be back with more later. Thanks for reading!
