AAA TV in the UK, Shibata update, Corgan-NWA update, more on Impact growth plans, new WWE contracts, Owens injured, where Charlotte has been, Otunga update, more on Mae Young tapings, ICW-WWE update, Interviews with McIntyre/Cross/Jarrett, new ROH PPV matches, former NFL name moving to wrestling, NXT live event note, and Questions on approaching talent after shows, Joey Styles' future, dirtsheet turf wards, WWF's Tori, and Taker's future

AAA's weekly show will air in the UK beginning June 14. The company hasn't been televised there in more than 20 years, so that's got to be seen as a good move. The show will air on a relatively new channel in the market.

Katsuyori Shibata could remain with NJPW as a full-time coach. He isn't expected to return to the ring following a really scary injury.

Billy Corgan can't officially get the rights to the NWA until the trademark situation is sorted out, so things have stalled to a degree on that front. I'm sure that hasn't stopped the planning for what the company will look like under his leadership, though.

Impact Wrestling has plans for further live events this summer. Hopefully they can get a pretty regular tour going, as that could be an important source of revenue for them.

Impact is reportedly seeking more Indian talent. I expect that will be more and more of the norm in the years to come.

WWE has signed Pete Dunne, Tyler Bate, Trent Seven, Wolfgang, and Mark Andrews to new contracts to work the U.S. as well as the regular UK brand. So, those names should be appearing more regularly on NXT and the like going forward.

Kevin Owens recently suffered a broken thumb, but won't be missing any ring time. I expect he'll be a pretty good soldier for WWE as far as working a lot of matches. I assume more world title reigns are in his future as HHH further puts forth his vision for the company.

Charlotte has been missing live events due to being part of a USA-related movie taping. She's still working televised shows in the meantime.

WWE has signed Axel Dieter Jr., Kennadi Brink, D.A. Brewer, and Fabian Aichner in addition to Thea Trinidad. Brink and Brewer have recently worked as referees on NXT live events. Notably, Brink had been part of the women of honor division.

David Otunga only did the Kickoff show at Extreme Rules because he was just taking a break from his movie shooting. It will still be a few weeks before he's back on commentary.

WWE is expected to tape the first four rounds of the Mae Young Classic in one weekend, meaning everything but the finals will be ready to go on the Network from just two dates. The "binging" idea is an interesting experiment in line with what Netflix does.

With the Mae Young Classic, UK specials, and both brands having PPVs every month, WWE isn't planning any further Network specials in the vein of Beast in the East. They put out a LOT of content.

ICW has pulled their content from the FITE app due to their new agreement with WWE. ICW and PROGRESS should be heading to WWE Network shortly. I don't know why WWE hasn't announced the deals yet.

Drew McIntyre talked about returning to WWE and more:
- The NXT audience had definitely been keeping up with what Drew had been up to. It's easier than ever to follow what's going on in the world of wrestling.

- I'm sure Drew will match up from some of his UK opponents again going forward.

- A book about the history of WWE developmental would be great.

- It probably would be good to move some main roster people to NXT in the next draft.

- Yes, Drew isn't the same wrestler he was as the Chosen One. So it makes sense to give him a new theme.

- I love seeing the variety of styles in NXT.

- Poor Slater hasn't gotten the kind of breaks his buddies have recently. I still love him, though.

Added to ROH Best in the World:
- Young Bucks vs. War Machine for the ROH Tag Team Championship
- Hangman Page vs. Frankie Kazarian in a strap match

Former NFL star Par McAfee is training at OVW. He's still pretty young; I hope all those knee surgeries don't prevent him from having a good shot at making it.

Nikki Cross discussed WWE and more. She's been great in and out of SAnitY.

Jeff Jarrett discussed GFW vs. Impact, Impact live events, and more:
- Impact definitely has the capital and personnel to be successful again, but it's going to take a lot of work to get it done.

- We'll see if another Ring Ka King kind of project comes about out of all this.

- India and UK are definitely important markets for Impact now as far as big TV deals bringing revenue.

- I'm curious what other international partnerships come about.

- Impact definitely wants all those revenue streams going strong.

- Impact has had plans to tour Canada and the UK as well.

William Regal made an appearance in front of the live crowd at an NXT live event in the UK. As you might expect, he was well-received.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. Any talent that will come off a long car ride to the venue or a long night at work willing to interact with a bunch of strangers definitely has some serious resolve and generosity. Many understandably want to have some time off from the stresses of being a top performer. Remember, this is a job to them and we all want time away from the pressures of work here and there.

2. It sounds like other than some ECW nostalgia kinds of things, everyone involved has had their fill of Joey Styles the wrestling personality. He's been in that role for a long time, and I don't blame him for wanting to write a new chapter of his life. There's not much left for him to do in the business, and he can probably make a better living for himself not being an indie commentator.

3. So much for dirtsheet turf wars. I'm sure Scherer and Ryan Satin could have some serious words, but I doubt they'd get into a fight.

4. She's very much "off the map" as far as being a wrestling personality goes. I mean, how many times do most people want to talk about a job they had 20 years ago?

5. I would go on the assumption he's done. Unless he's REALLY getting antsy for a specific match around the time to put together the WM34 card, I imagine he'll just get the HOF nod and walk off into the sunset.

More wrestling tomorrow.
