More Impact live event names, WWE Network updates, tag team legend retires, former IC Champion out of retirement?, WWE PPV theme song, Smith Hart moved to hospice, Takeover logo, NXT live event notes, Flair injured, and Questions on Rock's physical condition, tokenism with Jinder, the history of WWE developmental, supporting FloSlam, and saving world champs for PPV

Eddie Edwards, Eli Drake, Allie, and LAX have been officially announced for Impact's August 5 live event. There are plans for another live event in the Northeast the next night.

Eve Torres, Kelly Kelly, and Maryse will be part of the next "Table for 3" on June 19.

WWE is set to tape another episode of Bring it to the Table this week to debut next Monday. The show pretty blatantly attacks the "smart" audience that could potentially buy the Network, so I don't know how effective it is beyond getting WWE's viewpoint out there.

Kurt Angle's WWE 24 will hit WWE Network on July 10.

Sheamus and Cesaro filmed material for WWE Ride Along after Extreme Rules.

- Big Show and Kurt Angle were another tandem on the show. Pretty interesting pairing. I wish Show was traveling with Sheamus and Angle was traveling with Cesaro so the newer WWE stars can learn the ropes from the veterans.

Demoliton Ax, also known as The Masked Superstar and Geto Mongol, has wrestled his final match at the age of 69. He's earned his retirement!

The former Santino Marella looks to be wrestling again for Destiny World Wrestling. I'm guessing this is something related to his training academy as opposed to a full-on return. I do REALLY miss his antics, though. Him becoming GM of Main Event would make the show more interesting (not that WWE cares about the booking of that show).

WWE will use Jerry Lee Lewis' famous song as the theme for Great Balls of Fire. I REALLY want to hear the story of that PPV name being pitched and accepted because that song is older than every single member of the WWE roster. Even Kane is almost 10 years younger than that song.

Smith Hart has been moved to hospice care, due to battling cancer at 68 years old. I wish him peace.

Takeover: Brooklyn's logo has been revealed. I'm curious if we're in for a fourth edition next year. It's become a pretty big deal for NXT and WWE.

At an NXT live event in Scotland:
- No Way Jose beat Jack Gallagher, which is surprising because not only is it a face vs. face match, but it's close to Jack's home turf.
- Nikki Cross beat Ember Moon, so Ember's back in action.
- SAnitY worked as faces in a loss to the Authors of Pain. That would be great in Brooklyn.

Ric Flair needed medical attention for an unspecified hand injury. Naitch would probably still wrestle if someone would book him to do so.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. Rock's movie commitments required him to be built in a way that wasn't necessarily the best physical shape for a wrestling match.

2. It's definitely something of a double-edged sword to get a spot largely due to appealing to a certain market, but he does have the chance to take the ball and run with it. GRAB THAT BRASS RING DAMMIT.

3. They didn't have their own in-house "developmental" system or a promotion that was exclusively for developing future talent, but they worked with other companies to get their new signings some experience.

4. One can certainly make the argument that the extra price is worth it to support indie wrestling. I don't know how many people will support that line of thinking, but I can see the logic behind it.

5. That kind of used to be what they did, but now they're trying to get as big of an audience as they can for the weekly TV shows. So, the champs end up wrestling on Raw and Smackdown.

More wrestling tomorrow.
