Cody-Impact update, WWE Studios film hits TV, behind-the-scenes at Raw, Interview with Harper, big Impact YouTube milestone, ROH live event notes, and Questions on WWE losing their TV deal, HHH's effectiveness as talent developer, Vince's creative abilities, and Miz vs. Ambrose not being extreme

Cody isn't expected to return to Impact, despite being GFW Nex*Gen Champion. That would seem to help his case in becoming ROH World Champion, but he's still a free agent and that remain a stumbling block for ROH's side.

WWE Studios' Surf's Up 2 debuted on Cartoon Network yesterday. I can only imagine what the next crazy WWE crossover will be.

A soccer star showed behind-the-scenes Raw footage.

Luke Harper talked before Smackdown in his hometown Tuesday night:
- The Wyatt Family is a hell of a drug. Poor Huber going down that path.

- Luke might be relegated to the pre-show or post-show again. Just fair warning.

- Harper's definitely really solid. He can really move and still make use of his size.

- Harper should have kayfabed those kids, brother.

- It is pretty cool he could be a nice book clerk and the guy he is on WWE TV.

- I'm very glad Luke is in WWE. He's a lot of fun to watch.

Impact Wrestling's YouTube channel has passed 950 million views, which is really quite impressive. I'm sure a lot of that was then they had a bigger TV reach, but it's still a big milestone.

At an ROH live event in Illinois:
- Myron Reed beat Curt Stallion in a dark match.
- Jake Crist competed in Gauntlet To The Gold, which ended in a double countout with Jay White and Punishment Martinez. The two went on to a triple threat match with Christopher Daniels, who retained the ROH World Championship in the main event. Interesting that Daniels worked another triple threat match for the title. I wonder how many more big matches the 47-year-old champ has in him.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. If NBCU does drop WWE for some reason, WWE would definitely get a deal with (an)other network(s). It might not be the deal they want, but someone's going to want to pay to have Raw and Smackdown on the air. It's a big exaggeration to think WWE's going to have to move its content to the Network anytime soon.

2. It would definitely be a big loss if they didn't rights fees for their footage in the U.S. I expect they'd do a new tier of the Network including Raw and Smackdown. I really, really, really don't think they're going to be in a position where they're hurting for money anytime soon.

3. A lot of "HHH guys" are in important roster roles now. WWE is bending over backward for the fans who kept saying they wanted a cruiserweight division, smaller guys in the main event, etc.. The televised audience is dropping. I definitely don't think that can all be blamed on Vince considering all the names who are being pushed who don't fit the WWE mold.

4. Vince in the Rock 'n' Wrestling Era made wrestling a much bigger deal. I think it's fair to say he's needed to step aside creatively more since then and adapt more to the world in 2017, but he does still have instincts of what does and doesn't work for the bigger audience.

5. It was weird to have such a deliberately non-extreme match on the show, but I think it ended up working out. Having a card full of "extreme" matches can wear out the concept.

More wrestling tomorrow.
