Final Battle Reax

Read on for my thoughts on last night's ROH PPV.

- Taven vs. Ospreay:
Will not wasting any time getting to the dives.

Lots of moves already.

Taven's friends are paying dividends here.

Taven's growing on me.

Ospreay's definitely impressive.

Jesus. Will's pace is unreal.

This is heating up well enough.

Ospreay taking out everyone!

Lots going on here.

Not bad at all to start the show!

- Addiction vs. W. Machine:
I'm glad this is a big fight.

This is already one to check out.

Solid tag team war going on.

The Addiction can still be important players.

War Machine can be pretty fun when they run wild.

I'm liking the story here.

This is going pretty well!

Lots of action going on!

Wow. Impressive agility from Hanson.

Pretty good work!

- Lethal vs. Scurll:
Pretty good start.

Scurll is someone to watch going forward. He's got something special.

This has been pretty good so far.

Lethal can definitely go.

Scurll is game. I'm glad he's here.

Impressive story here!

Both men really impressing me with their work here.

NICE counter to the Lethal Injection.

Hahaha nice homage to Eddie Guerrero.

And nice counter to it by Lethal.

This is going to another level.

Damn, how many umbrellas does this guy go through?

AHHHHHH I thought the piledriver was it.

That was one hell of an ending! Great work from both guys.

- MCMG vs. Friends:
And more young flashy wrestlers.

Impressive work early.

I liked Shelley breaking up the hug.

This is pretty fun so far.

The Guns really have the advantage here.

Good story here.

Good to see Chuckie in ROH. He works hard.

All four men putting on a clinic here.

I'm enjoying this a lot.

WOW. A lot of action here.

Not bad at all.

- TV title match:
-- King vs. Punishment vs. Taylor vs. Silas:
I like this one early.

There's a fun combination of styles here.

Shane vs. Punishment is fun here.

WHOA. I didn't expect Silas to his a plancha.

Impressive dives.

Silas having a big performance here.

I'm really liking the four contrasting styles here.

Nice first stage.

-- King vs. Punishment vs. Silas:
This is a hell of a fight!

HAHAHAH nice betrayal from Silas.

That was pretty fun while it lasted.

-- Punishment vs. Silas:
This is a really good story so far.

Martinez's agility is insane for his size.

I'm loving this one from a psychology perspective. Bruiser's adding to that dynamic.

That was one hell of a fight. This show has been incredible.

- Dreamer/Bully vs. Briscoes:
This is a crazy brawl already!

JESUS. Tommy and Bully had more athleticism than I expected there.

Wow. This is balls to the wall.

I love a crazy hardcore match here and there.

Ha. Nice nod to the movie people chose Final Battle over.

Imagine being the person buying lightsabers and a kitchen sink, having to explain to the employees why you need them. Better yet, imagine Sinclair getting the invoice for lightsabers and a sink.

This is definitely insane.

They're going to kill both ECW guys if they can. Damn.

Team ECW taking a BEATING here. Which makes sense given where they are in their careers compared to the Briscoes.

This is wild.

Jesus. Who volunteers to go through a flaming table?

Not bad at all!! Good ending especially.

- WOH announcement:
I'm glad they're getting something moving on that front.

- Bucks/Page vs. Flip/D. Lee/Titan:
I'd appreciate this match more if there weren't already so many flashy dives on this show.

Um, Flip, you want to get sued? That gesture is WWE property!

Really impressive work. I'm just burned out with this style of match.

Everyone here is an amazing athlete doing innovative, flashy things. I don't have much else to say...

Lots of good moves here.

Pretty impressive Meltzer Driver spot.

That was one of the craziest finishers I've ever seen. Holy shit.

- Post-match:
Looks like The Addiction have another friend in their anti-ROH crusade.

- Cody vs. Dalton:
I'm not really feeling Cody's hair, but it definitely fits the other Rhodes' looks.

Nice start. I'm glad this isn't another spotfest.

Nice use of Brandi there.

It's going to be a LONG 2018 waiting for Cody vs. Bryan. That might have a chance to draw a big crowd at the proposed Cody/Bucks funded show, though.

Wow. This is a battle so far.

Good use of Brandi vs. the boys.

Castle's got momentum!

This is solid.

Heck, Dalton's got a fighting chance!

Castle looks like a credible star here.

AHHHHHHHH Dalton would have had him. Good spot.

OH WOW. Dalton looking good in this one.

WHAT!!!! HOLY SHIT!!!! Big win for Dalton, and big moment for ROH.

More wrestling coming up.
