New WWE VIP perks, McIntyre rehabbing, assorted Cena and WWE press, Impact continues to reach out to other promotions, Prichard-Impact update, another role for Sonjay, more Impact talent shifts, why The Crash dropped Konnan, Kamala update, Cody and Bucks seeking sponsors, Sydal-Impact note, WWE and ROH interested in former Impact champion, Van Ness-Impact update, Interviews with JR/Flair, three Raw matches set, WWE makes history in the UAE, top NJPW name injured, and Questions on Rousey-WWE, TJP, AXS airing NJPW, a women's Rumble, and WM35's location

WWE is offering VIP tickets for live events that let fans walk the aisle before the show, a photo taken inside the ringside area, and more. That's pretty cool.

Drew McIntyre is in the gym rehabilitating his biceps injury. He's aiming to return in time for Takeover:New Orleans. I hope he can pick his momentum right back up.

John Cena "interned" at the animation studio that's doing "Ferdinand." Not bad.

- Cena also appeared as guest host on "The Today Show" to promote the movie.

Impact is looking to work with ROH in a talent exchange situation or other beneficial relationship, in addition to their continuing attempts to work with NJPW. I'd think either promotion could sign away pretty much any Impact talent they want when their contracts are up given the cutbacks lately.

Bruce Prichard isn't expected to return to Impact despite initial plans for him to be a heel manager when he was first written off. With all the backstage changes the company has had, it's understandably been hard to execute long-term plans.

Sonjay Dutt is now Impact's head of talent relations in addition to his roles in creative. He's been a valuable presence lately.

Impact is expected to use more talents on per-date deals instead of full-time contracts, in another cost-cutting move. They're also less likely to try to compete with WWE or ROH for signing in-demand talents. That's a tough spot to be in, but they're really strained to turn the company's finances around.

Konnan's Crash departure was a result of him meeting with AAA's president in order to squash the issues between the two sides. This was done without The Crash management's knowledge, apparently having been set up by Impact as a mutual partner. There were also issues with The Crash viewing Aro Lucha as a competitor in the U.S. at a time when The Crash wants to expand there, as well as heat for Konnan missing shows due to his commitments with Impact. He had basically stretched himself too thin with working among Impact, The Crash, and now Aro Lucha.

Kamala has returned home following his health scare, when he was on life support. That's good news; it's been a rough time for him the last few years.

Cody and The Young Bucks are meeting sponsors for their proposed 10,000-seat show. I applaud their guts in trying to hit such a big attendance number.

Matt Sydal's Impact contract allows him to take his own outside bookings. That looks to be the new direction going forward with the company's deals.

WWE and ROH are interested in Eddie Edwards should he not re-sign with Impact in February. He'd be able to do well either place.

Laurel Van Ness intended to ask for her release before the Ottawa tapings, but ended up working those shows before asking out of her contract. It's now expected she'll finish her time with the company at the January shows. We'll see what the future holds for her and the Knockouts division.

The Club were on Steve Austin's latest podcast. There's a real resemblance among those three.

Enzo Amore and Jason Jordan visited children in a hospital before Raw's show in the United Arab Emirates. Good work by WWE there.

"The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon"  uploaded a number of John Cena videos following his appearance:
Mad Lib Theater
Random Object Jingles
Cena speaking in Mandarin

Jim Ross talked to SNY and Jim Norton and Sam Roberts to promote "Slobberknocker." The wrestling business is in a much better place due to JR's work in it.

Ric Flair discussed a number of topics with Ricky Morton, highlighted here. Flair was in REALLY, REALLY rough shape for a while there.

WWE has added the following matches to Raw:
- Roman Reigns vs. Cesaro
- Seth Rollins vs. Sheamus
- Samoa Joe vs. Dean Ambrose
-- Each match there has potential to be pretty good.

Raw's Middle Eastern shows will feature the first-ever WWE women's matches in the region as Alexa Bliss faces Sasha Banks. Both women are wearing less-revealing ring gear for the occasion. That's a historic moment. I'm glad that progress is being made.

Hiroshi Tanahashi's knee was injured on NJPW's December 7 show. He will miss the remainder of the World Tag League tour, which will end on December 11.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. The goal is to reach the audience outside of the normal WWE bubble, so they should either do a big press conference or announce it somewhere like ESPN. Certainly TMZ would be good for publicity, too.

2. He hasn't been announced for 205 Live's New England shows yet, but I expect all hands on deck for those shows.

3. AXS is absolutely trying to get more current NJPW content on their shows.

4. They could definitely do a women's Rumble leading to Absolution vs. the Riott Squad at WM34.

5. Basically whatever area gives WWE the best pitch, where they think they'll make the most money.

More wrestling tomorrow.
