WWE star rehabbing issues, former WWE star discusses battle with addiction, Paige back in a WWE ring Monday night, Cornette on retirement, Impact name back in the ring, HOH injury, WWE live event notes, and Questions on how much planning goes into a match, Smackdown women copying Raw's angle, booking lessons from the WWE Network, WWNLive's future, and mandating numbers of matches

Sheamus is rehabilitating a case of neck stenosis. He's been doing some of the best work in his career lately, so I'm glad he's not missing time due to it.

The former Kaitlyn talked about recovering from addiction. I'm glad she's getting things together.

Paige vs. Sasha Banks is set for Raw. This will be Paige's first match in 17 months. Interestingly, her last match featured her teaming with Sasha Banks.

Jim Cornette discussed retiring from managing. Shockingly, it has nothing to do with Vince Russo, Joey Ryan, or Kenny Omega.

Abyss wrestled for House of Hardcore this weekend, his first match since Bound For Glory. He didn't wrestle at the TV tapings after that event due to issues with his knee, so it looks like he'll be able to get back into the swing of things at January's shows.

Candice Michelle tweaked her knee during her retirement match against the former Victoria, and potentially burst her bursar sac in the process.

Erick Rowan and Mojo Rawley teamed against Zack Ryder and Tye Dillinger on Smackdown's show in Mexico, so the Hype Bros' split has spread to live events. That's an odd combination of heels, though.

Sheamus has returned to action, teaming with Cesaro and Samoa Joe in a loss to The Shield during Raw's December 2 live event in Utah.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. It depends on the workers. Some plan out a lot of spots they want to go through, and others like to play off the crowd more and flow in the moment. For some shows (generally those on TV), often there will be some specific things the bookers want to get across, so more spots are planned out, from the moves to run-ins, etc.

2. Maybe Riott learned Paige was recruiting NXT names for her group on Raw, so she put together her own trio to invade Smackdown? That would be good to build to the two sides colliding at Wrestlemania.

3. Here's the thing: the Classics were designed to showcase a lot of potential future WWE signings, so everyone got to see what they can do in their "tryout." With an ongoing promotion, you're eventually going to have some people on the losing end, getting squashed, etc.. It's like any other sport: some teams are going to have a pretty easy night, and others are going to have to fight for every point. By the end of the season, some teams have a lot of wins and some have a lot of losses. Intentionally or otherwise, Triple H has given himself much easier situations to book. He doesn't have to worry about keeping as many characters strong for as much time, because his time with them is limited compared to the years and years people will be on Raw or Smackdown.

4. It's going to be tough for WWNLive to rebound, but certain personnel might come out unscathed enough to move on to other things if the company's days are numbered. It's a little tough to contrast Impact's 2017 with Floslam's, as Floslam started from scratch and Impact is working off 15 years of previous decisions. Even in a best-case scenario, they could only change so much of what had already been done.

5. I'm almost never a fan of something that rigid. If there are reasons to have three women's matches, great, but don't force it. I do know a common online complaint has been that "WWE should just put the wrestlers out there to WRESTLE! Fans just want to see good matches, not this storyline crap!" but we're seeing how ineffective that is at keeping fan interest. A lot of fans see wrestling TV shows like other TV shows that need interesting characters and story progression instead of just a bunch of long action scenes for the sake of them. Part of what made the Monday Night War days work was the fact so many interesting things were happen. It wasn't just "I'm going to win my match tonight!"

More wrestling tomorrow.
