Main Event Reax - 12/31/17, 2nd-generation star debuts, more on Kaitlyn's return, Network drops collections, Bryan honored, and Questions on Shera post-Impact, NJPW working with Impact, Shane/Bryan, the Hollywood Blondes, and 2017's most improved promotion

-- Main Event:
- Kalisto vs. Nese:
Hahaha Kalisto's pose game.

This is pretty fun so far.

I like Nese using the body scissors as a legitimate submissions.

I'm loving the taunt-off.

This is going well!

I liked the counter to Salida Del Sol.

Good work overall!

- Revival vs. Apollo/Titus:
I've missed The Revival SSSSOOOOOO MUCH.

Good physicality so far.

Titus and Crews are working together pretty well thus far in their teaming.

Good use of Titus' power.

YESSSSSS VINTAGE REVIVAL!!

Good work.

Brian Pillman's son reflected on his first professional match. I'm glad he's achieving success.

The former Kaitlyn discussed returning to the ring. It's too early to talk about a WWE return or anything (even for the upcoming women's Rumble), but I'm glad she's rediscovered her passion.

WWE Network has removed three collections for the end of December. I assume they weren't being watched a lot.

Braun Strowman and Paige are booked for Raw, although they may not be in action following Braun's illness and Paige's injury.

Daniel Bryan dropped the puck at a Massachusetts hockey game. WWE's basically handing the indies a mainstream star in October or so.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. It looks like he worked some events in Michigan back in September, but that's the last record of him doing anything I see.

2. Pop has a bigger footprint in the U.S. than AXS or Sinclair's local stations. Impact is also bigger worldwide than ROH or NJPW in terms of how many people know about each company. That gap is shrinking as we move into 2018, and it's not out of the question that NJPW at least will surpass Impact's worldwide footprint by year's end, but Impact still has a sizeable edge over NJPW in the U.S. and over ROH both in the U.S. and internationally as a brand.

3. WWE could basically end up making Bryan one of their hottest characters, then giving the indies one of their hottest stars. Pushing him as a heel or a face is only going to get him further over and get people even more excited to see him back in the ring once his WWE deal ends. But, yes, specifically, I think they'll end up making Bryan, Owens, and Sami the heroes whether that's the intention or not.

4. It's really funny seeing the Loose Cannon and Stone Cold in that tag gimmick.

5. I'm saying ROH. They were in a pretty tough spot starting the year with losing the Undisputed Era, and Daniels' title reign didn't light the world on fire, but Cody has taken them to new heights as a credible, fresh top name. They've made good use of their NJPW connection, and the booking of the shows has substantially improved. I went from dreading watching ROH to enjoying a good chunk of it. That's a big win in my book.

More wrestling tomorrow.
